Needed a fit to fly

Needed a fit to fly, completed the form, payment made and this was not actioned. No follow up email on why it is not. Back from holiday and not needed anymore.
They took my money and have not refunded me.

No drugs. Big bill.

I ordered a prescription for urgent migraine medication from this company.
I needed it ahead of a holiday.
They provided a prescription which nobody will fulfil.
I even tried two Boots branches: Boots is claimed to be their “prescription partner”.
The larger store’s Pharmacist said it “looks like a scam”.
Emails back to UpDoc were not answered other than with unhelpful, standard messages.
Yes, they sent “a precription”, but at most of £50, it proved useless.

We would like to clarify a few points. Our service provides online consultations and, where appropriate, prescriptions issued at the sole discretion of a GMC-registered Partner Doctor. We are not a pharmacy and do not dispense medication directly, nor do we state on our website that we fulfil prescriptions. Any prescriptions issued can be taken to any pharmacy, including our partner pharmacies, as well as other national or independent pharmacies, for dispensing.

We’re sorry that you experienced difficulty when trying to have your prescription dispensed. We understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly given the urgency of your request. When you contacted us, we provided guidance on the dispensing process and advised that your pharmacist can contact our technical support helpline directly while you are present in the pharmacy.

We strongly encourage that, in such situations, you ask your pharmacist to contact our technical support helpline while you are present in the pharmacy, so we can promptly assist and resolve any issues in real time. This option was provided during your contact and remains available.

Paid for priority, waited longer than the NHS

Paid £47.95 for a priority consultation as I urgently needed a medical certificate. My consultation was assigned to a Partner Practitioner but nearly 20 hours later, NOTHING. No consultation, no contact, no certificate.
I ended up having to pay for a separate provider to get what I needed. I have since been seen by both my NHS GP and a private GP in person, both of whom responded faster than this paid priority service. Even the notoriously slow NHS managed to see me and issue sick notes before UpDoc even responded.

I received no call. I expect a full refund.

What exactly is the point of paying for priority if you’re left waiting longer than the NHS? Complete waste of money.

Update: UpDoc have since issued a full refund, which I appreciate. The partner doctor’s letter, when it did arrive, was genuinely thorough: it was clear my case had actually been assessed, referencing relevant hx, and was of significantly better quality than the auto-generated certificate I received from a z-competitor. It just came on the following day, far too late to be of use. Better communication around expectations and realistic timeframes would go a long way.

During busier periods turnaround times can occasionally be longer than expected, and we sincerely apologise that this appears to have been the case here.

We would like to clarify that our FAQs does not state that a full refund is automatically issued if a you do not receive a call or outcome from your Partner Doctor on the same day. However, we do review each case individually, and where our service does not meet expectations or falls below usual standards, we aim to resolve this fairly.

Got me the right medication when i…

Got me the right medication when i needed it and the process was actually straight-forward. Went to Boots with the link sent to my phone and got the meds. Not cheap, but when the NHS is so useless that you can't see a doctor and your clinic tells you to go to a hospital and you don't feel up to waiting all day, this is the alternative and it works!

I was out of my medication

I was out of my medication as I hadn’t requested a repeat from my doctors .As it was Easter I couldn’t get to see a local doctor . Updoc stepped in and after a short process I obtained a script to see me through until the my doctors reopened .

Fast and efficient .…

As it was a bank holiday my usual doctor wasn't on duty. I have an infection that I felt couldn't be left till next week.
I contacted Updoc and was assessed quickly and a prescription was sent via email.

I Brian and i paid for a medical…

I Brian and i paid for a medical housing support letter being I'm a subscription plus client with updoc. And they didn't email me the document. This has never happened before and wish to cancel my subscription plus with them. I'm diagnosed with a mental health conditions and their playing games with my time. I need to print out the letter so I can show it to my social worker. And cant now because of them not emailing me the PDF document. And not happy if this is how they treat people. 1 star 🌟 out 5 bad service wouldn't recommend. I even left an email for Sophie customer service assistant,Yoa, and Dr Chris and not a single response from anyone.

Scam

Scam. I needed one fit to fly certificate. Updoc have signed me up for a monthly subscription without needing or wanting it. I tried to email for cancellation and had no luck. My bank refused the payment 4 times and flagged to me as a possible scam. Finally after Updoc made several attempts to access my account, I’ve now been charged twice (two months’ subscription) for a basic fit to fly certificate in which I did not even speak to a doctor.

I have tried to contact for a refund to no avail. Don’t put your card details in and don’t use their service. This is a scam service that hopes its customers are not aware that is a subscription model. Will not be using again.

If I could I would upload pictures from my bank of them immediately flagging Updoc as a possible scam.

don’t even read your request

Paid for a medical note for my travel and they didn’t even read the type of letter I needed and just sent me a generic one saying due to medical history when it’s nothing to do with my history. They didn’t even speak to me. They just sent it… now no one will respond

Very quick and professional service

Very quick and professional service. The process was simple and easy to follow, and I was able to submit my request without any issues. I really liked how fast everything was reviewed and how clearly the instructions were explained.

It’s very convenient to have access to online medical support without needing to visit a GP in person, especially when feeling unwell. Overall, a smooth and efficient experience – I would definitely recommend.

Medical certificate was rejected and denied a refund.

Their medical certificate was rejected by the Airlines. I requested them to complete the medical paperwork sent to me by the airlines but they refused.

I even sent them the rejection email and requested a refund but they denied my refund. Do not use this service, This is all scam, although certified by medical doctor their certificate will not be accepted by airlines or insurance company. AVOID AT ALL COST.

- The fee paid was for a consultation with your Partner Doctor, who issued a medical outcome at their clinical discretion. As outlined in our terms, all outcomes are issued at the sole discretion of your Partner Doctor.

- The letter issued is a valid medical statement from a GMC-registered Partner Doctor. However, acceptance of any medical documentation ultimately depends on the specific requirements of third parties such as airlines or insurance providers. Unfortunately, these criteria vary and are outside of our control, so we cannot guarantee acceptance.

- During the consultation request process, it is also clearly stated and agreed to that your Partner Doctor is unable to complete external or custom forms provided by third parties.

- If a third party requires additional clarification, we are able to help verify the medical letter and can submit a complimentary amendment request to your Partner Doctor for review. However, we cannot determine or guarantee whether a third party will ultimately accept the documentation.
