My review of Uplearn
I am writing this review as an A-level candidate studying Maths Furthermaths and Physics.
Uplearn is a great tool to learn the content if you simply do not know it or to learn ahead of your class. Whilst they have a guarantee for A/A* if you hit 90%, I don't think uplearn itself is enough for achieving an A/A* and I personally only used uplearn to learn the content.
I personally very much dislike the maths in uplearn and I sat the alevel in year 12. I feel uplearns maths videos are unnecessarily stretched and quite boring however I would understand that for someone who isn't math inclined it would be very useful to build their maths skills fresh.
Overall, uplearn is a solid revision tool for self-learning content however this is as far as I would put it.

I like the simplicity of everything
I like the simplicity of everything. very clearly layed out in terms of structure, video straight to the point very concise but packed full of all the information for the exam in bitesize chunks, making for a great learning experience. Ai bot is also very helpful and easy to find . I take A level chemistry and biology and have found that my knowledge especially in weak areas has increased massively since using uplearn as a main source of revision and learning.

Its way too expensive for an app that does not even go into depth

Amazing
Extremely helpful website. Their customer service is incredible! They added my extra time on for practice questions, changed one of my courses after my school purchased one I already owned, and transferred all my data onto one account. Anytime I have had an issue it has been sorted in a matter of hours by a teammate. Their AI chat bot feature is brilliant for asking a quick question and helping you get in contact with someone that can help.
Definitely saw an increase in my grades after purchasing the maths course. It worked wonders for psychology as I received consist A's and A*'s, so I bought my other subjects too.
For subjects such as biology where I struggle with exam questions, I do wish there was more to practice. The mark schemes can be very specific even when you know all the content. Despite that, Uplearn it is still 5 stars if you ask me.

Uplearn Psychology is the BEST
Uplearn Psychology is the BEST!
I've been using Uplearn psychology properly now for a week (I used my 3 day free trial a couple of months back) and it's been by FAR the best resource I've ever had access to.
I have ADHD so I find it very difficult scanning blocks of text for useful information but Uplearn completely removes this and makes learning so incredibly straightforward, it was hard to believe I'm actually learning the content, until I improved my past paper score from a C to a B+ in just a week.
As well as this, there is most definitely miles more care put into the videos and tailored spaced learning than any kind of AI learning platform I've tried. It's clear AI is used as a helpful addition (marking answers, personalised spaced recall) as opposed to the basis of the platform.
10/10 I will definitely be telling my sister to use this when she starts her A levels, and recommending to everyone I can.

Better places to spend money than on AI
Exorbitantly priced AI slop that encourages learning the questions rather than the content. There are free learning platforms that are much better for real revision such as Physics and Maths Tutor. No online service is a good substitute for human teaching.

Uplearn to needs to change
The videos take long even at double speed and are a waste of time and only cover the most basic content. To complete each section you must watch all the videos which for many topics can take over an hour, for just the most trivial, tiny part of content. The content that you want more in depth for is barely covered. Will give 2 stars because the repetitiveness helps retain memory (but not always of the right thing).

Definitely a scam
Definitely a scam, DO NOT USE. They did not deliver on what I paid for. For STEM subjects (Maths Physics Chemistry) it does not go into any depth on the topics and doesn't come close to what you can find online for free. The questions are basic and not realistic of the more challenging questions you can find on a real exam paper. For example maths (AQA), I did most of the course only to realise when I covered the content in class, UpLearn's content is very shallow. Physics and Chemistry (OCR) I stopped wasting my time on as the course was clearly underdeveloped.
Furthermore, the service scammed me out of the money I paid for it. I paid through my college for the entire 2 year course during my A levels, and the website confirmed that I had access to this until August 2026. Come September 2025 all of my subscriptions were gone! Waste of money and 100% a scam. I hope this review helps someone and saves them from losing money.

Amazing for building a foundation of knowledge
Up learn is really good in teaching you the basics of the topic. I do maths, bio and chem and the videos for chemistry are truly wonderful. They have full explanations that are detailed and my favourite part has to be the quizzes; they are truly invaluable for retention which is so important when we talk about A-level biology and chemistry. I found it very hard to remember all the tiny details despite writing hundreds of pages of detailed revision notes but up learn has helped me remember all the information without even having to lift a pen. 100% would recommend. I went from being stuck at B's to jumping up to an A* by using up learn for literally 4 days in chem

UPLEARN is incredible but with one downside
UPLEARN is incredibly easy to use and has been great at teaching me the concepts of my subject, in addition it has very thorough and detailed animations in their videos! the only downside that I could think of is that when I lose my signal it would mean I would have to refresh my page and which also meant that I would have to rewatch the entire video and redo all the questions too!

Helpful and kind team
Personally, I did'nt find the material uplearn gave useful to me as a learner. After trying for three months into my subscription I asked for a partial refund - only paying for the first 3 months. Not only did I get an answer back straight away, the Uplearn team are very understanding and gave me a full refund.
