We would highly recommend Upside Projects following the demolition and rebuild of an extension.

The demolition was carried out in a methodical manner, with safety measures in place to protect the existing house structure. All live services, gas, water, electricity and drainage, serving both the main house and the outbuildings are routed through the extension, so the demolition was carefully sequenced to prevent any interruption or damage to the utilities.

One of the biggest positives was the level of overall project management. All trades were coordinated by Upside Projects, including electrical, plumbing, joinery, gas, plastering and decorating, which removed the need for us to deal with multiple contractors.

Communication throughout was clear and consistent, with regular updates and prompt responses to queries.

Upside Projects organised the procurement and scheduling of all the building materials in line with the work schedule, coordinating deliveries with each trade to account for lead times and maintain an efficient workflow without disruption. They dealt directly with the architect, structural engineer and building control to solve unforeseen issues with concrete foundations, and also to facilitate changes from the original plans that we requested.

The project included the installation and fitting out of a utility room and bathroom on the ground floor and extending the first-floor area. The finish to the interior work is of a high standard.

The best recommendation for a builder is when a client is confident enough to invite them back for another project a year later, and they are now scheduled in for this.
