Scam be warned refused refund going through my bank to retrieve my money

Like many others here: was in a rush, it came up first in the Google search so just clicked onto the website which looks genuine. Made a payment. Scammed! Lost money.
Google need to ban this site as so many people have obviously had this experience 😡

Please do not use this website as I thought I was paying for my car road, I was in hurry as my car tax run out so hastily paying for a fake raid tax, in my mind I thought why I paid under£10 for Rd tax?

Criminals hiding in plain sight. I thought I was taxing my vehicle but NO I was led through a legitimate looking system to find out that it was just a company that do a history check. I had paid on my card before I realised my mistake. I rang my bank and they blocked and stopped any further payments. I have been asked to contact the banks fraud department to report it this morning as they closed 5 mins before my call. They will refund and put a marker on these sneaky scamming scumbags.
I think they can operate by putting a link on their site to DVLA tax online service. Absolute sh*tbags !!!

Sad and embarrassed to write this review. I can’t believe how stupid I have been. Misleading website duping you to purchase car tax, then sending you a report on your car further taking money from you on a monthly basis because I believed I had originally thought I was setting up a direct debit to pay for my car tax! Furious with myself. And furious that this company is allowed and allowed to have such a misleading name. Don’t be fooled this company is most definitely not a car tax website and I can imagine the clock is ticking for them. They are not even worthy of any stars but the system needs something there.

This site is designed to catch naive people who think theyre taxing their vehicle. Its techincally providing a service but its not tax. Dissapointingly endorsed by google it seems, by it being so high in the search results of 'pay for tax online'

If you think ur buying tax from here, get off the internet.

This company appears to have a history of charging subsequent amounts each month following paying for one of their vehicle checks which are completely illegitimate. The amounts are small (I was charged £6.99) presumably in the hope they will go through unnoticed or are confused with another subscription. Stay well away from this company, really surprised Google hasn’t done more to shut them down and appearing at the top of their search engine. Be warned, do not use this company

Had to tax vehicle on the day and was charged £9.75 for the day and then £4.99 for the next two months without receipts, no logo or reference on bank statements and no login data for me to stop payments so bad to block my DD payments to this application now, spent 4 hours to figure out what this company was and finally discovered it’s this website that came up immediately when searching for road tax for the day but it’s not the DVLA! It’s basically a scam!!! Google needs to delete those guys from their search engine.

Don't be fooled into using this website. I did by mistake and paid £9.97 for nothing. A few days later my bank card was hacked. No coincidence I think!

I've also been scammed by this website/company. How on earth dothese people get away with robbing hard working folk I'll never know. I also paid £9.97 and then had to tax the car again but then today they've taken another £4.99 out my account without permission. I've reported them and I hope others read these reviews before committing to this scam. They should be ashamed of themselves😡😡😡😡

I also paid £9.75, and I receive the post from DVLA for my new car untaxed.

What a rip off, you are led to believe you’re taxing a vehicle (motorbike for me) they take £9.75 which is the same as bike tax. Then they send a hpi style report saying you have a valid mot etc. I phoned my credit card company and they said there is nothing they can do as I gave them my card details (I did) so I wrote the £9.75 off! Then today £4.99 was automatically taken from my account again the credit card company said there is nothing they can do. They have however put a block on them so they cant take any more. Cancelled my card and will send me a new one! I’ve got an email address for them, so I’ve mailed them to stop taking payments.
Not that I’m holding much hope of any joy from these type of companies 😡

Scammers, wouldn't let me type what I want to call them, trying to tax a vehicle Well think you are, takes all the relevant details for the vehicle etc and proceeds further to select 6mths 12mths or pay monthly but can only proceed not pick one so proceed and think your paying for your road tax comes up as £9.75 payment to them and nothing to do with dvla Road taxing and if not canceled a monthly fee comes out too but for what I don't know so if you have just done it, cancel it with your bank ASAP

Scam, I was in a big hurry to tax my van as I needed to move it off SORN for one day. Thought it was strange a payment of £9.75 was taken. Now I look carefully I see it's a scam. WHY DON'T THE AUTHORITIES STOP THIS SORT OF THING? £9.75 gone and wasted. DO NOT USE.

I am disgusted that this website is allowed to operate so freely. My elderly father has been scammed. Google should be hanging their heads in shame. Also, why are banks not aware of this fraudulent site? Surely this should be on a list somewhere in line with the banking protocol, so payments are stopped before they occur. Disgusted at the lack of protection.

Vehiclecartax should be ashamed of themselves and Google for allowing these scammers to be the first response to come up for road tax. I just paid £9.75 believing I was paying for road tax on my new car. I have contacted the company after realising my stupid mistake at info@ vehiclecartax.co.uk to cancel. They now have my bank details. Disgusting behaviour from both. Will be renewing bank card as well as our Google mobile phones.
