I couldn’t recommend Vencer more. We undertook a complete, major renovation of my 1920’s 2 bed bungalow to a 4/5 bed home adding a second story and new roof pitch. Only 3 external walls left from original property and most of those had to be rebuild. This completed a year ago. So I am writing this review a year after to give full feedback. From start to finish they were professional, reliable, thoughtful, attentive, timely, respectful, adaptable, clean and upmost attention to detail. Worked well with my architects. Such a high end finish. They really cared about their workmanship and standard. The weekly meetings on site were really great. Communication excellent. Standard of build and aftercare was amazing. Nothing too much. Always covered holidays. Any issue that arose after finish - snags- were promptly sorted. Completed only 6 weeks over the initial time quoted and that was just to extenuating circumstances so I was really pleased. I would recommend Tom, Jamie and the team to anyone.

Vencer stepped in when I was let down by another builder and truly saved the day. From the outset, they were professional, reliable, and incredibly supportive. The quality of their work is exceptional, and the finished project has far exceeded my expectations.

Communication throughout was brilliant. We had regular weekly meetings to discuss progress, and I received detailed updates complete with photos and plans for the week ahead. They were always quick to respond to any questions or messages, which made the whole process feel smooth and well-managed.

The team were respectful, tidy, and very approachable. They consistently checked in to confirm preferences but also offered smart suggestions that really enhanced the final result—especially with the practicalities of living in the space.

I’m absolutely delighted with the outcome and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Vencer to anyone looking for a trustworthy and highly skilled building team.

Vencer stood out with their care and professionalism at our tender meeting and have looked after us through the whole build. Excellent attention to detail and thinking about problems from the perspective of how this would be to live with (e.g. suggesting an adjustment to avoid an area of unnecessary low head height, for someone who is 2m tall. Very responsive to our challenge at the few moments where we didn't quite agree with their approach. Kept things,reasonably, quiet and tidy throughout. We lived comfortably in the house throughout, even when we were sealed off from the upper and half our middle floor. We are very happy with our extension, to incorporate a lift shaft, new bedroom, walk-in showerroom and balconies.

Thanks to Tom, David, Jordan and all the Vencer team, we have an amazing house renovation we are more than delighted with.

From our first meeting to the final sign off, Vencer have proven themselves to be a highly professional, trustworthy and reliable company.

Our project was a significant refurbishment and we chose to live in the unaffected rooms of the house during the construction. At all times, everyone working was most polite, tidy, really respected our needs and were accomodating to every request.

We would highlight these points as being most important to us

- clear, timely and accurate communication with e:mails, calls and the shared WhatsApp group
- excellent cost & schedule control, with all changes detailed and fully agreed meaning no surprises to deal with
- flexibility meaning occasional & important virtual work interviews were done without noise interruptions
- reliability, the team being ever present Monday to Friday and not over the weekends
- a passion for high quality workmanship. We quickly realised the team were all very skilled and not willing to accept shortcuts or poor finishes

The ends results have exceed our expectations and we have no hestiation in recommending Vencer as a result.

I can’t thank Tom, Dave, Jamie and all the Vencer team enough for completing my project to such a high standard. Their focus on Customer Service and Satisfaction is second to none; I’m so glad I chose them. I would even go so far as to say that with Vencer you do not need to employ a Project Manager. There are weekly meetings to view the progress and and agree ongoing scheduled works. They work hard to ensure the project proceeds with as less stress to the Client as possible. They were happy to agree and undertake any changes to the scheme and recommended some and undertake additional works all with clear agreed upfront costings - they were with me for an extra two months! When things went wrong (only minor), they put it right at their cost. I had some movement in the house following removal of an external wall that caused some cracking in a non project room but Vencer rectified it all with no hesitation and redecorated the whole room! They have a great in-house team and their contractors are clearly chosen with care. A special thanks has to go to Jamie, he lives and breathes your project to ensure everything is right. I moved out for the duration of the works, my property was fully respected and every person who worked on the project was completely trustworthy.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Tom and Dave i.e. Vencer Construction. I love what they have done and am still getting compliments from visitors and delivery drivers!!

What a great team! Professional, well organised, diligent, quality craftsmen, reliable, very experienced, honest and trustworthy. I could go on and on! I would whole heartedly recommend Vencer to anyone and I have, as they will be starting a project for my parents soon.

From the very start when Tom came out we were very impressed. Dave and his team were amazing with the initial building works and then when Jamie and his team took on the latter stages of the build they demonstrated a great eye for detail and design.

The communication throughout the whole process was brilliant, with regular site meetings and any concerns were discussed at an appropriate level that we could fully understand. The teams turned up consistently as stated and were always on time and often early and really worked hard.

No, I have not been paid for this comment, this is truly a first class professional company that built a superb double extension over 6 months. I was so impressed I asked them to do some extra work for me. What a brilliant company led by owners Tom and David and the amazing foreman Jamie, what an incredible person he is, what an incredible team.

Vencer are a thoroughly professional outfit which instilled confidence from when we first met them. Always contactable and keeping us up to date with progress. Regular site meetings to discuss next steps and any alterations to plan if needed.

All members of the team extremely personable and pleasant to have around the place. Tom, Dave and Jamie manage the different stages of each project between themselves and clearly have a robust working relationship.

The standard of finish is exceptional with a high level of attention to detail. We had cheaper quotes but we felt most confident and comfortable in working with Vencer. With these guys, anything is possible and in hindsight I should've been a bit closer to the mounting cost of extras that were sugested/needed but ultimately we're delighted with the finished product.

Vencer completed a single-story extension and internal rearrangement for us in summer/autumn 2023. This was our first experience of building work and we were not comfortable with the change this would bring or in hiring professionals to do it. We were introduced to them through our architect and are glad we went ahead with Vencer. Tom and Dave were knowledgeable and professional, and their processes and way of working was reassuring. We had to scale back the project considerably. Tom and Dave provided suggestions and insight until we had a final plan that worked for our family: rebuilding and extending an old sunroom next to the kitchen to create a larger family space with bifold doors opening onto the garden, and creating a larger bedroom and a larger family bathroom upstairs. Tom, Dave and Jamie provided useful insight, suggestions and guidance throughout, leading to the inclusion of certain features that really make the space. They were also positive and pleasant to work with throughout as well as receptive and accommodating to our last minute ideas/changes.
We lived at the property throughout, and everyone who worked on the project was thoughtful and considerate (this covered the summer holidays when the children were around and doing their thing), balancing getting the job done with the family’s requirements.
We valued highly the whole team’s commitment to communication, which led to certain elements being much better than planned. The finish throughout was great and we now have beautiful spaces that work for us. There are a few things I wish I had given more time and thought to, eg a new kitchen and the windows, but these were our decisions based on budget, nothing to do with Vencer. We have recommended the Vencer team already to family and friends, and will continue to do so. We would work with them without hesitation in the future.

We would highly recommend Vencer to anyone looking for a professional building firm who produce high quality work. Kept updated throughout the build (even with the expected hiccups) and were always only a text or phone call away if we had any queries.

Tom, Dave and the team were all very friendly and professional and had a great eye when it came to suggestions for our renovations which ultimately made the finished product even better. They take such pride in their work which really stands out.

We are very happy with the completed works and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Vencer to our friends and family. Bonus points for getting the extension done just in time before the arrival of our newborn!

We were recommended Vencer for a project to take down our old conservatory and reconstruct a new extention in its place. From start to completion Jamie and the men at Vencer have communicated with us and have done a fantastic job, it exceeded our expectations! I'm an Architect (James King) who regularly uses Vencer to tender and build much of my work and I can't speak highly enough of them. A very professional outfit all round. Tom, Dave and Jamie are in constant communication with myself and clients throughout any project. The only downside of me recommending them is they may be less available to do my projects!

Vencer completed a single storey extension for us, along with some alterations to other parts of our home to bring our kitchen down from the middle floor of the house to the ground floor, creating a stunning open plan kitchen and living space. Vencer recently completed a ground floor rear extension of our property. The level of finish was good, the team were friendly, and they have delivered a transformation to the ground floor of our property, to create a lovely family space.

Vencer construction did a large one storey wrap around extension on our home in the Heath.
The project was well run on a tight timeline, with the normal building challenges you’d expect really well managed by the team. The quality of the build and finish were excellent.
