Mir ist ein Victon 100/20 Laderegler im laufenden Betrieb durchgebrannt! Es war alles vernünftig abgesichert. Das knallte einmal und dann war er tot. Habe alles an Victron über die Webseite geschickt. Man hat sich nie bei mir gemeldet!
Victrons interests…
Victron is only interested in offloading technical issues to certified individuals and companies thus maintaining the wall that protects them from warranty claims. Community development is stifled and actively censored when real issues arise, such as victron actively stealing opensource code and distributing it as their own without licensing.
The moderators of their online forum are for the most part incompetent UI power users that have no idea or background in actual programming.
On the contrary, the forums provide developers and the owner a platform to gauge and interact with their users without the user knowing it.
The system administrator (most likely Mr Vader) actively reads and censors private messages sent between users.
Users have no control over their information or the ability to remove their information or comments as required by European law and can only request the anonymization of their information.
They make quite capable inverters, now with their push to become an industrial supplier and integrate the EU mandated power consumption and control systems, they have alienated their user base while pretending to be opensource. They failed to e honest about the messy communication and timing protocols under the guise that its intellectual property, when in actuality its simply dangerous and that is why they're so opaque about it. This could be fixed by publishing full and correct documentation, but all attempts to reverse engineer need to start from scratch, allowing for more mistakes to be introduced.
Their systems all run as root, while this historically was necessary as the system ran arduino-esqe, it could simply be fixed with proper user implementation.
In summery, victron actively uses information you provide to further obfuscate their systems. If you find a hack, to control your inverter and communicate it on the forums, watch and it will be removed with the next firmware update.
The mods are suffering exposure effect and any attempts to point that out especially to nickdb result in censorship and threats of account locking with gaslighting being used as a method. There is no objectivity, the mods are helpless and lash out at the users attempts to understand terming it " dunning Kruger ".
Anyway.

Beware BS WARRANTY
Beware! Victron Australia denied me warranty on a power inverter that blew a capacitor weeks after purchase. Sales agent tested and confirmed it wasn't working, sent it Melbourne service centre for warranty repair, came back working but was charged $180 (scammed) supposedly there was nothing wrong with it. Days later it blew a capacitor almost catching fire. Victron NSW denied my warranty claim with no justification or explanation. Great 5 year warranty Victron! 😁

The data sheet from RS Smart Solar says that the AUX inputs can be controlled by the VictronConnect App.
It is not true!!
Well Victron replied to my complaint. Unfortunately they refer to an other (Multi RS) product in which they say the AUX inputs can be controlled. My complaint concerns the RS Smart solar in which the AUX inputs can NOT be controlled

Victron ! Sin asistencia técnica: cuando hay un problema, estás soloando en comprar Victron
Si estás pensando en comprar Victron, lee esto antes.
Tengo una instalación completa 100 % de Victron Energy (inversor, reguladores, monitor, baterías, todo de la misma marca). En noviembre, con buen sol, todo funcionaba perfectamente. Pero en cuanto llegaron los días nublados de invierno, apareció el verdadero problema:
una gran parte de la carga de las baterías se bloquea,
la autonomía desaparece,
y te ves obligado a depender de la red eléctrica aunque tengas paneles solares suficientes.
Pensé que podía ser un simple ajuste. Así que hice lo que haría cualquier cliente serio:
documenté el problema con medidas reales,
gráficas,
pruebas bajo carga,
y envié varios correos detallados al fabricante, incluso con los números de serie de todos los equipos.
La respuesta fue siempre la misma. Y esto es muy importante:
👉 Victron me confirmó por correo electrónico que NO ofrece ninguna asistencia técnica directa a los clientes finales.
Su única respuesta fue:
“Debe contactar con su instalador o distribuidor”.
Es decir, aunque:
tengas una instalación completa de su marca,
el problema no sea un fallo de cableado sino un defecto claro de funcionamiento,
lo hayas documentado todo correctamente,
👉 el fabricante se desentiende completamente del usuario final y se esconde detrás de los vendedores.
Después de eso, al leer los comentarios públicos de otros clientes, he comprobado que mi caso no es una excepción, sino una práctica habitual:
garantías que no se respetan,
productos dentro de garantía que no se reparan,
meses de espera sin solución,
clientes abandonados,
y siempre la misma excusa:
“No es asunto nuestro, hable con el vendedor”.
En resumen:
Sí, el material puede ser técnicamente bueno.
Sí, es caro y se vende como “premium”.
Pero cuando aparece un problema real, el cliente final se queda completamente solo.
No existe un verdadero servicio posventa directo del fabricante para particulares.
🛑 Mi conclusión para los demás consumidores es clara:
Si buscas una marca que te respalde cuando surja un problema, desaconsejo seriamente comprar material Victron.
Se presenta como “lo mejor del mercado”, pero en el momento más importante, el fabricante no asume ninguna responsabilidad directa con el cliente final.

Después de meses sin solución y tras demostrar con pruebas que el problema NO era de mi instalación, sino del propio material Victron:
👉 tuve que recurrir a argumentos legales.
👉 Resultado: me reembolsaron todo el material sin discutir.
Desde entonces, he reemplazado los controladores por otra marca:
✔️ el sistema funciona al 100 %
✔️ carga completa
✔️ ningún problema
Esto confirma que el fallo era real y no de instalación.
⚠️ Mi recomendación se mantiene: mucho cuidado con esta marca cuando aparece un problema real.

Replacing a 10 year old simple lithium…
Replacing a 10 year old simple lithium system, upgrading I thought, my old master volt and single cell aircraft rated batteries were a lot easier and simpler also cheaper and did well over a decade, still using them as second battery bank.
Victron connect is a marketing bullshit app, get more out of my amp, volt gauges and dingo solar regulator than I get from Victron system.
Over priced and average, good marketing terrible support.

My Inverter stop working
My Inverter stop working and was replaced by a new one (Apparently) which stop working as well. When the second one was shipped back for repairs or replacement; Victron said they were not replacing it.
This was all done within 3 years of original purchase that should have been under the 5 year warranty. I never got the Inverter back from them either.
I'm not very happy and don't think much of Victron.
I had a company for 40 years and I would never leave a client unhappy.

Victron easy solar have a dispute with this company they…-fixed
The company now solved this over the seller....so i have now increased my score..im moving my issue to the specific seller Tiendasolar
have a dispute with this company they seem or excuse to ask their seller to comply short history
-May-23 bough a 1400 euros device
-July-23 high alarm l1 and burning signs
- Aug-23 sent to repair
-Oct-24 box arrives Tiendasolar/Techosun claims the box is damaged and that the issue of the device...
-Nov-24 they repair it- and send me back
-2025 finally i open the device as i did bought a new one this is a solar offgrid inverter connect it and has the same failure as initially reported- contacted Victron they never had a RMA- complain to Victron and they say they cant fix it Only tiendasolar can open a RMA- tiendasolar says the problem is from the damaged box (although there is no issue at all on the device no scratch at all) and its out of warranty...but the device has the same L1 alarm and burning as the first time...so this company refuses to start the warranty. this is a tier 1 device- they completely refuse to repair my device- Victron excuses themselves with the seller- that don't opens a RMA- would not expect this from a European company and ill take it to court. This is a completely out of standard process.l and really bad ethics and illegal by the eay

Victron wirbt mit einer 5 Jahre Hersteller Garantie. Wenn man diese über der Webseite einreicht wird man an Transwatt als zuständiger Partner verwiesen der einem dann dazu auffordert ein RMA Formular auszufüllen. Soweit so gut. doch danach erhält man dann eine Rechnung über 160€ und quasi ein friss oder stirb weil man ja der Auftraggeber für die Garantie Reklamation ist. Das ganze ist ein sehr merkwürdigen vorgehen. Victron wird hier defintiv rausfliegen einen solchen Hersteller braucht ich nicht

Reliable products put together by people who knows their stuff. I've been using Victron products in my sailing boat for the past 10 years or so, and recently in my campervan for the past 5 years (with upgrades), fully off-grid, and neither system has failed me since.

Sinds april omvormers en een…
Sinds april omvormers en een accupakket. Dat zou heel goed moeten werken met dynamic ess. Het werkt helemaal niet en problemen worden afgeschoven op de dealer terwijl de software het probleem is. Contact met Victron is heel moeilijk of niet mogelijk.

Problem mit EVCS schnell behoben
Meine EVCS mit Anzeige machte plötzlich durch lautes Brummen auf sich aufmerksam. Ich habe Kontakt mit dem zuständigen Support aufgenommen und das Problem wurde schnell per Mail diagnostiziert. Mir wurde auf unkomplizierte Weise äußerst schnell geholfen, indem mir einfach ein neuer Schütz zugesendet wurde, den ich mit deren Erlaubnis selber einbauen durfte. Das Problem war nach wenigen Tagen also behoben, ohne dass ich das gesamte Gerät ewig lange durch die Gegend schicken musste. Top Service! Super schnell! Fühle mich sehr gut aufgehoben bei Victron!

Would leave zero stars if you could. In my experience none of their products are accurate. All overpriced and over complicated. I would advise anyone looking to make an off grid set up to use ABV (Anything But Victron). Even their own tutorials advise connecting to the grid every couple of weeks, if that was possible you would just be connected to the grid anyway! Not a suitable company if you want to use off grid. Wish I had never even heard of Victron.
