Walker Profiles & EAC - What a Combo!?!!
This company is used by East Ayrshire Council for window and door installation/upgrade.
Walker Profiles', henceforth WP, charge-hand duly arrived on the agreed date - early and informed the team arriving from Motherwell were tasked with undressing and re-dressing the windows. And that all belongings would be covered by WP's dust-sheets. Additionally, carpets protected by plastic runners.
The tenant headed to work only to return the first day to be met with devastation and were forced to overnight elsewhere. And only a single plastic runner, partially applied to the stairs and nowhere else.
However on the second day the tenant had to face the true nature of sheer vandalism to be endured........
Imagine their shock to find the majority of their vertical blinds destroyed (slats creased, chains and clips broken, weights with missing corners). The self same blinds, which had hung perfectly only two days before, were a mess of proportions words cannot begin to convey. Not to mention WP workforce not re-hanging a small venetian in the kitchen and the equally small material one for the bathroom.
Yet not content with this, the hall carpet at the front door was saturated and stained, towels previously hung neatly in bathroom a mass in the bath - used to soak up god knows what chemicals. The pie'ce de re'sistance WP using the tenant's woolen suite throw to cover the television.
When informed by the tenant, EAC and WP paid lip-service. Finally, the tenant was forced to bring intervention due to both companies total disregard. Which took to form of helping EAC and WP to conceptulise the part both had played in destroying the sanctuary of a human being, from Life's bufffeting. WP insultingly offering, at the end of a long week when travesty had begun, £350 as compensation(got a quote - £1200 ("just in case") for budget verticals). Not to mention the carpet, towels and throws.
