Helen is brilliant as a swim instructor. We’ve been with Water Babies for over three years now and had a few instructors in that time, she is hands down the best.

Our class is on Sunday mornings at the Village Hotel in Farnborough, and it’s always such a lovely start to the day. Helen has such a calm, friendly way with all the little ones. Hudson is still building his confidence in the water, and she’s so patient and reassuring with him. Amalie, who’s nearly four, is absolutely thriving, and it’s amazing to see how far she’s come.

Even in a group setting, Helen makes every child feel seen and supported. The classes are fun, well-paced, and always so positive. She’s a real asset to the Water Babies team, and we feel really lucky to have her leading our class.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend Water Babies Berkshire. It feels like a bit of a scam. When you sign up, they don’t clearly tell you that you have to give a full month’s notice to cancel, and they’ll just roll you into another term without properly informing you. Even when you do give notice, they won’t confirm whether it’s been received or accepted, which is really frustrating.

They also say they offer catch-up lessons if your child misses a class due to illness, but in reality, they rarely offer anything that actually works with your schedule. It all feels very money-driven, with poor customer service and little flexibility.

If you’re thinking about signing up—be careful and make sure you get everything in writing. I’d honestly suggest looking elsewhere.

Our teacher Helen is engaging, fun and caring towards all the babies. The pace of the lesson suits the babies age group perfectly, and they are always on time. We're really pleased with the progress our daughter has made so far and she has really great water confidence. We hope to continue lessons for many years!

I just love water babies. Our teacher Nina is amazing. We started going from 8 weeks and its been so nice to have this every week to go to. It can be quite isolating as a new mum and this has really helped me and my baby to get out of the house and enjoy an activity together. He is now super confident in the water and so am I!

The instructor is fantastic, she provides a relaxed and fun space for my baby to learn this important life skill, and gives me the confidence to take my baby in the water. Highly recommended

Both me and my son have loved water babies the lessons are fun and involved. But it’s not just solely games I feel like he is learning important swimming skills too. We’ve been going to the lessons since he was 3 months old and he has now just turned 2. He is so so confident and happy in the water and I think these lessons are a huge part of that.

The sessions are well structured, fun and easy to follow. All communication is excellent - from admin to in-session. The facilities are clean, spacious and welcoming at Hampshire Court Hotel. Our instructor, Vicky, is amazing - patient, supportive and encouraging. Everything we ever wanted in our swimming lessons for our little one, thank you!

My son is currently 3 and a half he has joined water babies since he was 12 weeks old and he absolutely loves it. Since joining he has learned so many skills! At the very begging it was a great start for bonding and trusting each other he gained water confidence, strength, he is able to swim by himself even!
He loved his swimming teachers two in those years he only had two teachers changed and they have been working in that field for a very long time. His current teacher is Nina and she is absolutely amazing! You can tell that she loves being around children so much, always making them laugh, doing some crazy things to entertain them even me as and adults I was like WOW she is going above and beyond, huge thank you to teacher Nina for being such a great teacher in my son's life!

Company is very good in accommodating out needs change of schedule whenever needed, always finding a solutions too!
Great with responding emails and phone calls. Sorting things really quickly.
We have recently enrolled out little girl too.

The only negative thing I can think of is sometimes the pool temperature is not so great, but I guess it really depends on the location.

Great classes with Nina, who is very patient, very fun and full of ideas how to make the swim classes a truly learning experience.
Water babies also takes customer feedback to heart and improves the classes for children and parents.

We have been using waterbabies since 2021 when my first was 3 months. We had a number of teacher changes initially but we currently have Nina, whom has experience of 16+ years. Nina has been a consistent teacher now for us for some time and I have also just started my second with her, whom is 4 months. Nina is what makes this, she has so much experience and she uses it to adapt to each child and reassure parents. My girl can be stubborn and when she is not engaging Nina always finds a way to get her involved!! She makes the effort with each child. In the baby classes her experience reassures parents, taking time to explain skills, the value behind them and possible baby reactions. The babies or children are never forced into anything like going underwater and all lessons are fun.
The 4 stars is that the venue has been unreliable in the past with pool temperatures but this appears to have been resolved.

It really is Nina that makes these lessons, she is amazing.
