When you completed your online valuation, our records show that no damage was entered using our damage wizard, which is a key part of our valuation process. This tool allows customers to disclose any cosmetic or mechanical issues so we can provide the most accurate valuation possible before an in-person inspection. If damage is not disclosed online, the valuation will reflect a vehicle in good condition, which may differ from the final offer after a physical appraisal.

Thanks also for responding to our request to rate the customer service you received from our team in Conyers, GA. We are sorry to hear that we have let you down and are committed to making that right.

I see that when you valued the Buick online on 3/27/2025, that you indicated there might be some problems. When we presented you with the damage assessment screen where you need to disclose any issues, you dismissed the warning that you had not completed this section of the valuation process, so the estimate was based on the information we had. The estimated value, as stated online, was based on limited disclosures you made.

Like any buyer (professional or private), we do look over the car before making a firm offer as it states clearly on our website and in the valuation email you received. Our team should have also made you aware of the appraisal process on the recorded confirmation call and you will have been invited to be present during the appraisal in the interest of honesty, integrity, and transparency.

In relation to the mileage, you declared a mileage of 200,313 but our appraisal photographs show 230,452 on the odometer. The extra 30,000 miles of wear and tear do make a difference to the resale value.

As our team should have explained, the biggest issue with the Buick was abnormal engine noise. Our AI technology detected upper engine noise, and this was validated by an expert who reviewed the recording. Like any professional buyer, we always run OBD2 diagnostic checks to scan the vehicle's diagnostic systems. We're happy to provide a copy of the report, but here is a summary of the faults reported by the vehicle's computer:

P1101 Induction Air Measurement - Cross-check Out of Range
P015B O2 Sensor Delayed Response - Lean to Rich Bank 1 Sensor 1
P2097 Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Rich Bank 1

OBD2 diagnostics also show us if trouble codes have been recently reset. We'll need to investigate to understand what happened, but the report shows that trouble codes were cleared just before we inspected the Buick.

Despite these issues, I'm pleased to see we were able to make you a fair offer that you were happy to accept, and we'd love to know how we could have done better given the significant difference between the disclosures made online, and the issues found during the appraisal.
