Unfortunately, my experience at this wedding dress shop was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend it.
From the moment I arrived, Laura was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. I wasn’t greeted when I arrived and was instead told I would need to wait while she got herself a drink and had her break.
When I explained that I hadn’t booked my wedding yet, Laura told me that the manager would normally not allow anyone to look at, let alone try on, wedding dresses without having a wedding date booked. She then asked whether I would be buying a dress that day. When I explained that this was my very first time looking for a wedding dress and that I probably wouldn’t be purchasing one because I didn’t yet know what I wanted, she repeatedly told me that the manager would have turned me away if she had been working that day. She then said that, because the shop was empty, she would “be kind” and let me try some dresses on.
As the appointment continued, I found Laura’s comments increasingly upsetting and inappropriate. She commented that I looked a lot bigger than the clothing size I wear, and when a dress wouldn’t fasten, she made further comments about my body rather than making me feel comfortable or supported.
This was my very first experience of wedding dress shopping, something I had been really looking forward to, and unfortunately Laura made me feel uncomfortable, embarrassed and body-conscious instead of making it the exciting and enjoyable experience it should have been.
I completely appreciate that not every dress will fit every body shape, but there is a kind and professional way to communicate this to a bride. The comments and attitude I experienced were unnecessary and extremely upsetting.
Safe to say, I will not be returning to this shop and I would not recommend it based on my experience. A first wedding dress appointment should be a special and positive memory, and sadly this is not how I will remember mine.ce at this wedding dress shop was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend it.

I really enjoyed my experience. There was lots of different dresses to look at and try on. Molly was really good at helping me find my perfect dress. She made me feel relaxed. I can’t wait to wear my dress in July 2027!

I had such a lovely experience buying my dress here today. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Molly was amazing, she chose all the perfect dresses and I walked away with a gorgeous dress. Would definitely recommend this wedding dress shop.

From the time we entered wed2be, we were greated with absolute respect.
We were told that there would be a wait. But that they would keep us informed of other clients progress. And they didn't let us down. The lady's were all amazing. But Laura who helped me pick my dream wedding dress, was exceptional. Thank you so much to you all for giving me an amazing experience for my first and only time of getting a wedding dress 👰 👗 💕 highly recommend.

Wed2b Derby was an amazing experience! I travelled here after enquiring about a particular dress and the whole afternoon was great. Staff super friendly, especially Teresa, who really went out of her way to install confidence and made the whole experience comfortable and unforgettable! Thank you so much!!!

After visiting the Derby store in March with my future daughter in law for a first look at dresses, we would have highly recommended this shop. The customer service was amazing. The assistant was really helpful and made her feel special. Following this lovely experience we returned yesterday intending to buy a dress. However the service we received was awful. The assistant had no customer relation skills. It was like being served by a sullen teen who could not be bothered. She was abrupt and rude in her manner and made us feel that it was too much trouble. The assistant chose a dress for the bride to try and was not at all happy when she did not like it. I can understand that they need to know why it was not right but her manner was rude. Even if we had found a dress, I would not have purchased on principle. We did go on to purchase a dress at a different bridal outlet that day.

I had the pleasure of visiting Wed2b, Derby with my nearest and dearest last weekend. I didn’t know what to expect but Teresa immediately put me at ease and personalised the entire experience to me and what I wanted. She really was a dream and a master of the craft, and her eye for dresses that would suit me best was fantastic. I keep looking back at the pictures and you can see my confidence grow in every dress. Truly a day I will treasure forever.

I went to a few dress shops and left feeling upset let down staff wasn’t that good helping me to find a perfect fit dress so I went to wed2b in derby I meet a lovely lady called treasurer she listen to what I wanted I tryed 3 dresses on and found my dress she gave me so much confidence in my body shape if your like me and have no confidence I would highly recommend you give her a visit 🙂 I left feeling fantastic

Theresa was amazing! She made me feel so comfortable, she knew exactly the kind of dress I was looking for and we tried on different ranges of the dress just to see, I didn’t feel any time pressure and she was so reassuring and giving good tips of what I can do with the dress with the seamstress. I would recommend anyone to go to wed2b in derby and ask for Theresa as she made the experience 100% better for me. She really is an asset to the company.

Overall, I had a really positive experience at Wed2B. The consultant helping me with my dresses was lovely, friendly, and attentive throughout my appointment. However, I felt she didn't quite have the same level of enthusiasm and confidence that some of the more experienced team members demonstrated. It may simply be that she is still building confidence in the role, but at times the one-to-one interaction felt a little reserved.
That said, the other ladies on the team were fantastic. They regularly checked in, kept my spirits high, and made me feel special with their kind compliments and encouragement. Their positivity really helped make the experience enjoyable and memorable.
Everyone was welcoming and professional, and I appreciated the support... But most importantly being a part of me being able to say 'Yes to the dress'!

I had a fantastic time at Wed2be today & I said yes to the dress can’t wait till I can wear it on my wedding day.

Absolutely perfect from start to finish! I entered with an idea of what I wanted after seeing a dress online, I was given the opportunity to try that dress and also an array of other dresses so I could get a feel of all different designs. I was quite nervous but Teresa was so lovely and accommodating she made me feel very comfortable and at home, I couldn’t recommend her and the shop enough. I knew the dress was for me as soon as it was on, of course I said yes to the dress! Thank you wed2be Derby! X

From the moment I walked in I felt looked after. Growing up watching programmes like say yes to the dress, I was worried that the reality would be much less enjoyable but I was wrong. Luckily we chose a really quiet day at the Derby store and basically had the shop floor to ourselves. Theresa was everything and more! Her enthusiasm and kindness really helped me to feel special. I officially have my wedding dress!

Walk ins only and unable to book a slot but to be told there is a 2 hour waiting list when we arrive. Told to go out for a few hours or come back another day. It’s hard enough to get your bridal party together as it is but I understand that’s the rules of the shop and I’m sure it works but we just picked a busy Sunday.
We waited and managed to get a slot earlier due to a cancellation.
My consultant was either new, shy or very uninterested in me / and or the job role. Didn’t answer many questions, very blunt and when I found a dress I really liked (& did end up buying said dress) her response was “are you buying it or not”. Customer service was lacking massively, I was so hot and had ran out of water in my bottle (which I had mentioned multiple times and wasn’t even offered tap water.
Maybe I just picked a bad Sunday morning but when you’re spending a lot of money on something very special, you expect a little more ☺️

What can I say about this shop….. the experience was amazing from start to finish. I felt so special and Teresa who guided us knew exactly what would suit and I only tried on 2 dresses and bought the second. I had been to previous wedding shops and this just is the best and affordable.

I got my wedding dress from wed2b and honestly can’t recommend them enough. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish.

The staff were so friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for me !

The first visit to any wed 2 be store, we were instantly greeted , both ladies we dealt with were super helpful , friendly and accommodating. Molly who helped us find the dress was really lovely , she couldn’t do enough for us , patient, was very good at advising, made great decisions and made us feel so comfortable. We were informed she is new to the business , you’d have never known! A wonderful experience, thank you!

Teresa made my experience of buying my wedding dress absolutely perfect. She listened to what I liked and didn’t like and the first dress the brought to me was THE one! I had my eye on this dress online for months and she chose the exact dress for me without me mentioning which one it was. She just knew. A great experience from start to finish.
