I think this has been cut with either sweetener or some other chemical, to try and make yet more money no doubt.

The texture is completely wrong, powdery, exactly like artificial sweetener and it tastes weird, not as sweet.

Looking on the bag I could not find an ingredients list anywhere, no declaration of “100% sugar cane” or “100% sugar beet” anywhere.

Due to the strange texture, different taste snd lack of an ingredients list I no longer trust the company and will never use or buy again.

More like icing sugar, it's dust, his it's named granulated is beyond me

Very poor customer service no replies as in two days I stated still no replies to my first two attempts at getting in touch third time maybe lucky but this time I'm also writing in snail mail about a bag of sugar that was supposed to be granulated to using tea and coffees but was nearly all dust as in icing sugar.
And now a 2nd bag just the same, what's going on with your sugar Whitworths???

Gritty and difficult to work with. Used several times hate it. Back to Tate and Lyle for me.

I have purchased preserved sugar from the supermarket but not always satisfactory results.
Whiteworths sugar has given 100% perfect results. Came right to my door so easy...thank you

Customer service is absolutely shocking!!! Over 10 days have been trying to speak with them in regards to a parcel I’ve never received and I’ve heard nothing!

Very poor customer service. Have had no reply, only received half my order,still waiting for a response, very disappointed.

Earlier in the year I found 4 bugs in my sugar, 3 of which were still alive. I messaged my complaint to the company and provided the photos they asked for. Feel like I treated those Whitworth sugar bugs to a nice little photoshoot. I avoid buying this brand now.

Sugar is good value for Money and if you love to bake then buying these large bags of sugar can really save the pennies.

The soft brown sugar 3kg bags are excellent and can’t be faulted.

I have given the review 4 stars as the 10kg caster sugar was full of large lumps of sugar. Although obviously still edible It was pain to brake up and made abit mess in the process.

All made beautiful baked goods and would buy again. 👍

Sometimes it’s not until things go a little wrong and you need to chat to customer services that you find out how good a company is, I had a minor issue with some of my order arriving damaged in transit, one email to the company and my order was replaced extremely quickly, no quibbles, no hassle and no delay. Customer care is obviously a high priority for Whitworths, I am 100% impressed with how they treat their customers. It’s good to know that some companies will go the extra mile for their customers.

Ordered a pack of jam sugar on Friday expecting 4-5 working days delivery- delivered Tuesday, perfect! I had a problem with spillage - wondered if courier had thrown box around, and bags had split inside packaging? Emailed Whitworths and was immediately offered refund or replacement. Overall, excellent product and service

Products are fine but an overnight price increase of 23.2% on their Demerera sugar is bordering "highway robbery". Shop around there are far better deals with other suppliers
