I bought three different sized half barrels, all listed as watertight. I spent £131 including shipping so, not a small amount of money. After discovering they are in fact not watertight I contacted them.

I made sure I had given the half barrels plenty of time to swell with the water being kept topped up (I had planned on using them for tub ponds).
I was told that they check them before they sell them (for how long though?), that it’s been very hot this year so the wood shrinks (which doesn’t matter in my case because they were constantly full of water and topped up regularly) and finally that they have lots of happy customers and aren’t trying to rip people off.

This is all great information except, I still have three expensive half barrels all of which leak. I might add, you cannot sell something as watertight if it’s only water tight in certain weather conditions. It is only 25 degrees this week, it has rained and they still aren’t retaining water.
I cannot afford to send them back for a refund but even if I could the company have now gone silent on me and not replied to my last email. So now I’ve got to decide if I try to sell them or fork out for pond liner which will cost me extra. I have included photos of how low the water gets without me constantly topping them up. One of them has completely emptied.

Very very unhappy about the entire thing. Especially the response. I was completely dismissed and to be told “well other people are fine” is intentionally missing the point. I wouldn’t recommend and I won’t ever use the company again. I suggest you go elsewhere if you want genuinely watertight products.

Edit to reply: I last emailed them Tuesday, not Friday-so add lying to the list. You could sell 1000 half barrels in a day, I don’t care, if the three that I spent over £100 on leak then that is a problem for me. The dismissive attitude is what I was most frustrated about. Yes, warm weather is a problem but you cannot justify selling something as watertight if it stops being watertight in the warm weather. It has been 25-30 degrees on average where I am in the UK and that’s enough to stop all three of these supposedly watertight barrels being watertight?! The moisture in the air point they keep raising is moot, they have been consistently full of water. They are 100% not fit for purpose. As of time of writing I’ve received no contact despite them saying they are going to contact me. Leaving it at that.

Drove to warehouse to look at the product (large barrel) and collect if we liked it. Shouldn’t have worried as they had loads of choice and the staff couldn’t do enough to help. I took my motorhome as transport and the chap (apologies I didn’t get your name) shrink wrapped each barrel as he was worried about damaging the motorhome.

The gentleman in warehouse was very helpful & put the barrel in the car for us.

Worst company I have ever dealt with,no customer service,I’m still waiting for my order,I’ve been told it’s in this part of the country then it’s in this part of the country then we will send out an emergency order still not arrived

Don’t trust these people. Placed an order through Amazon to be fulfilled by this company. I paid extra for it to be delivered Saturday. All the emails said I would get it by 2000 on Saturday. Except that DPD said they hadn’t got the parcel yet! Come 2000 and suddenly delivery is delayed 4 days. It was needed today to plant up for a 100th birthday tomorrow. If these people had been honest, I could have gone out and bought one. Do not rely upon this firm

I ordered a barrel from them through Amazon. I got a message from Amazon that delivery had been attempted but could not be completed, and I needed to contact the carrier. When I did, I provided them with my shipping number. They asked to verify the delivery address. When I gave them the address -- which is clearly visible on the Amazon order page, and is the same address I've used many times in the past couple weeks without issue -- they said it didn't match what they had, and as such, they could help me no further. Apparently they had a different/wrong address than the one on my Amazon order. So I reached out to Amazon, who sent the seller a message. I replied to that message to provide additional detail. I never heard back (I was told to wait 48 hours for a response) but when I got up the next day, I had a message from Amazon that my order had been refunded. I did not request a refund. I wanted the item I ordered. I wanted the seller to provide customer service and solve my issue. Instead I got no explanation, and my order was cancelled against my will. This is no way to run a business. I have documentation and screenshots available to verify my account of what happened. No attempt was made to fix the issue. No attempt was made to contact me. They just ended the order -- what a tremendously frustrating experience, and incredible waste of my time. Now I have to wait to see if the refund I was issued actually shows up. Based on some of the one-star reviews on Amazon, I'm not holding my breath. Would give zero stars if it were possible.

Excellent service today, friendly welcome, great product at a good price. We bought 2 half barrels and they very kindly drilled drainage holes for us and also carried them to the car. Would highly recommend!

I bought some bourbon barrel pieces for smoking for their website (they also have an Etsy store too) The product was fine and as expected. My original order include some other items. It seems when you order from a mobile phone it doesn't show you that items are out of stock. Matt ( I presume the owner) quickly email me to inform me that they were out of stock and he would refund the difference. All good. But he has ignored all me emails communication since. Maybe he didn't think it was important enough to warrant a response. Maybe on a more important matter he would have. I did receive an automatic email stating that due to current restrictions they are taking longer to reply than usual, I know people are busy but a one line email take seconds. I received over 400 email a day and am able to action / respond to every one. Be interesting if he responds to this.
