Proper Customer Service
A really good customer experience! Erin was able to explain an area of business that is not my every day work. She understood the issue I was experiencing, how it could be resolved, but most importantly she offered to help! Within 15 mins of my follow up email providing information she fed back an revised certificate with the correct information. I wish all customer service could be like this. Thank you Erin.

Absolutely horrible vile and snide…
Absolutely horrible vile and snide company.
Try to bully and harass vendors into signing up for their Mickey Mouse scheme and when they don't they report them to Trading Standards and the Local Authority. Why would anyone give them money after that ? Hopefully they will go out of business soon. On another note don't believe all the positive reviews on here either ! Go read the Google reviews for a more accurate version ! They are only getting 1 star as there is not a 0 star option !

In addition to running our own woodfuel quality assurance scheme, Woodsure administers the Ready to Burn certification for woodfuel on behalf of Defra. The scheme forms part of The Air Quality (Domestic Solid Fuels Standards) (England) Regulations 2020. This legislation was created in 2020 and passed through the House of Lords and Parliament following a long consultation process. Woodsure isn't responsible for the creation of the legislation. Woodsure is responsible for administering the certified fuels on the scheme, for those fuels not certified, the responsibility sits with Local Authorities as identified in the legislation, where they have the legal powers to issue fixed Penalty Notices. We certainly aren’t looking to bully people into gaining Ready to Burn certification and always advise suppliers of the option and requirement to sell in volumes over 2 cubic metres, if firewood is not certified. When looking at air quality and pollution it is worth looking at the government's Environment Improvement Plan (2023) and the goals for clean air and mitigating climate change, along with the more recent Biomass Strategy (2023). These demonstrate the role we all have to play in improving air quality created from domestic combustion and the future of biomass, from appliance selection, installation, fuel quality, sustainability and certification to appliance use, maintenance and chimney sweeping. Woodsure is a company limited by guarantee without share capital and a mission of working together for a cleaner safer environment and will continue to work with our stakeholders and the wider industry on woodfuel quality and environmental considerations on air quality and climate change. Fantastic Service
We requested a revised Biomass certificate from Woodsure as part of our non-domestic RHI registration. We requested this in the morning and within 3 hours Robert Cain, the Woodschemes registration officer had emailed us a copy. Fantastic service. Just imagine how well this country would function if everyone operated as effeciently as Robert!

Helpful company to deal with
We are a small family run business who were looking to sell firewood as an additional revenue stream. Unsure as to how best to do this within the government guidelines, we spoke to a lovely lady called Nicole who was very knowledgeable and informed us which licence would best meet our needs. She was very supportive in guiding us through the registration process and our application went through smoothly.
Whenever we had a query or wanted to get an update on our application, calls and emails were answered swiftly and politely.
