I recently bought a pair of work shoes…

I recently bought a pair of work shoes for my dad, and overall I’m really happy with the purchase. The delivery was a couple of days late due to a delay, and replies to my emails also took a bit longer than expected, which did make me slightly concerned at first—especially after reading some negative reviews beforehand. However, everything turned out absolutely fine.

The shoes arrived via DPD with full tracking, which was reassuring, and the quality is excellent. They’re well-made, sturdy, and exactly what my dad needed for work. Despite the small delays in delivery and communication, the end product definitely made up for it. I wouldn’t hesitate to order again.

Thank you for your review. You did in fact cancel your order through Paypal and it has been refunded back to you, to imply you are still waiting is not correct. We do answer the phone and our phone lines are open Monday to Thursday 10.30am until 12.30pm then 1pm until 3.30pm. Fridays our phone lines are open 10.30am until 12.30pm. Thank you.

Absolutely horrible do not purchase

Absolutely horrible do not purchase, I ordered boots on the 8th of March and they are still not here. I called and emailed and no one responded and I want my money back as this is ridiculous for the price. I want to speak to someone about refunding my money but they just ignore every one of the contact attempts. This is the worst I have ever been treated but on online store.

Update: again they are not responding, this company needs to return the money back to the people they own money to. I honestly dont know what to do next. How do I return my money. Is there something else I can contact on legal grounds?

Awful company

Awful customer service. I ordered some boots on 16th march. They said it would be here for end of march. Still no update or package on 14th April.

Communication has been problematic with you with email updates as per your telephone conversation with customer services you gave us an incorrect email address when you ordered. As per your telephone conversation you decided to request a full refund which has been done for you a while back. Therefore you no longer have an order with us and the refund has been sorted. You have been emailed to your correct email address with the confirmation of the refund.

I ordered safety boots that hadn't arrived in the time quoted, but one quick call to customer services and they arrived the next day.
Excellent customer service and great boots.

Avoid – A month of broken promises and zero communication

I placed an order on March 2nd and, over five weeks later, I still have nothing to show for it.
The service has been appalling. I was originally told my items would arrive in 7-9 days. When that passed, I was promised a dispatch date of March 27th—that date came and went with no update. I had to chase them multiple times just to get a reply, only to be given the exact same "Friday/Monday" excuse twice in a row.
They have now stopped replying to my emails entirely despite missing their own self-imposed deadlines. I have had to involve my bank to get my money back.
Save yourself the hassle and buy your workwear elsewhere. This company clearly doesn't have the stock they are advertising and their customer service is non-existent once they have your money.
UPDATE: Items finally arrived after 5 weeks and a bank dispute. Trousers are great and they included some socks as an apology, but the communication process was still poor

Should have come here first!

Should have come here first. Just like many others ordered helly hansen boots and it's been over a month. No comms over email. Called and got told wait a week....that was 2 weeks ago. Will be contacting the bank after my 7 day deadline to them has passed. Scammers. Avoid.

Ordered Helly Hansen Chelsea Evo 2 boots on the 1st of Feb, submitted an enquiry form chasing on the 13th of Feb, rang the 16th due to no reply, emailed back stating slightly delay at HellyHansen in Netherlands they expect to be able to despatch them around the 27th of Feb. Emailed them again on 2nd March with no response. Rang for an update on the 5th of March to be told they would get back to me. No response. Rang for a refund on 9th March to be told they will pass it to accounts. No update on that. Had to get credit card to back charge them on the 20th March. POOR!

Avoid them

Ordered work boots in February. Not received after 12 days emailed, still nothing called them today they said they would look into the order number and call back never happened. Didn’t seem very professional when they answered the phone either

First & last time

Unfortunately can't give zero stars, says fast UK delivery,still processing nearly two weeks later, not replied to my enquiry, first & last time I'll be using this lot, I think my feet could have grown it's taking that long 🙄

No tracking info, no response, very unhelpful do not buy anything from here

So to start it off I ordered some Helly Hansen work boots with a delivery time frame of 3-4 working days. I ordered them on the 2nd of march. I received two emails one with a confirmation telling me once my payment went through they would send me another email with tracking info, another email did come however, it was a repeat email with the same stuff on… no tracking or nothing. I waited a few days emailed them asking what’s going on, I don’t have no tracking info etc could some help. No response. I chased it up without another email a few days later and still no response! it’s now the 11th of march so I decided id phone them up, I spoke with women who said she’d get back to me in a hour this was at 10.33am I waited till 20 past 12 and called them up again to wich she said “are you the person who called up at 10:30 I don’t get back to people until the afternoon give me another hour.”. Why that is I couldn’t tell you, I came off the phone and waited until 10 past 3. At this point I’m furious that iv had no response and they are closing soon for the day. I phoned up about 4 times to listen to the music and then beeps. By the 5th call I managed to get through only to be told the boots I ordered come from Holland where Helly Hansen are based so it’s going to take atleast 2 more weeks for the boots to come however she could offer me some other boots in a similar price range that could get to me sooner. I said that’s not really good enough as I wanted the boots i ordered and the website shouldn’t be lying to people about when they are going to expect “z” items. In the end I said I wanted my money back she said that’s fine it’ll take 24-48hrs to get back to my bank. However with what iv experienced so far I’m not relying on that promise and will more than likely have to chase that up also 🤣. I really wouldn’t recommend this website to anyone, what a complete and utter shambles. Thank god I already had some boots and wasn’t relying on them to get to me otherwise I would've been completely screwed and without work. Very unprofessional and false advertisement at its best.

PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 7 - 9 WORKING DAYS FOR YOUR DELIVERY TO ARRIVE.”
This is important piece of delivery information is placed on our website on every Helly Hansen product, in our terms and conditions, at the checkout and on your order confirmation, invoice and also clearly available on our delivery schedule. You ordered on the 2nd of March and your order was due to be delivered on time within the 7-9 Working day lead time as expected, but you cancelled before the 7-9 working day time frame had elapsed. We put the Helly Hansen delivery information on the website and in as many places as possible to be clear and transparent. It is there so customers can make an informed decision when ordering.

Another supplier let me down Workwear saved the day

Another supplier had let me down big time, however these guys saved the day, over one week had been wasted by other supplier not even realizing I was never going to get the boots I had ordered with a 48hr delivery time.
I contacted Workwear now desperate for an offshore safety boot with next to no time to have them delivered before I had to join my ship, they advised me what boot was actually available from the same manufacturer and better still had it delivered to me in less than 24hrs... Real life savers when you need one.

We do have a customer service phone number so customers can call Monday to Friday to discuss orders etc. We do encourage customers to phone if they have an issue as in some circumstances email cannot communicate as clearly as in person on the phone. TERRIBLE COMPANY BEWARE

I ordered some Helly Hansen boots on 18th Jan with delivery in 3-5 days. Email confirmation stated some deliveries may take 7-9 days as it comes from holland. It is now 5th February and still no delivery or update. Haven't received dispatch email or updated delivery information either. Have emailed the customer services and received zero replies to my inquiry of where my order is or when it will be dispatched. Have requested a refund and still no reply. Looks like will have to go through the payment merchant to get my money back. Shocking service shocking customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. DEFINITELY DO NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASES AS YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THEM.

I was having issues with no update on item ordered, having sent an email and query request form but with no reply. I decided to telephone instead. A woman named Hazel took my details and phoned me back within the hour. She said staffing was light at the moment but said my order should be with me hopefully next day. My order did arrive next day. So thanks Hazel !
