From Autumn 2017 The Kilt Store and Kilt Hire Co will be known as Eight Yards. We will describe ourselves as providers of Scottish Menswear. To do this we need to set ourselves apart from the more throwaway, lesser quality offers that now crowd our market. And we need to continue to attract new, loyal customers across generations. Having lifelong customers is really important for keeping our business strong. We already value the craft that goes into the menswear we sell and we work hard to make sure that our style and range is modern and relevant. Our new name and brand builds on these great qualities, allowing us to extend beyond kilt hire, to communicate more of our personality, the range we offer and the value of the service we provide. The descriptor Scottish Menswear. Explains what we do and includes our core business of Kilt sales and hire, without excluding the rest of our range. We are Eight Yards. We have created Eight Yards for men of all ages who appreciate quality, tradition and craft. Like us, our customers refuse to be stuck in the past. Very helpful staff

Staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We only needed to hire part of a kids kilt outfit and needed to swap a pair of ex-hire shoes bought online. Nothing was too much trouble. The hire was also ready to pick up a day earlier than expected!

The tie was perfect, but..

The tie was perfect - unfortunately you delivered the wrong item so I had to run to the shop on the morning of the event - I don’t live in Edinburgh so got the item delivered to our hotel. After calling the shop in the morning, I got the exchange sorted.
