Was recommended to buy from here but never again, will buy online direct from manufacturer in future. Bought my first pair of running shoes in September, the lad was polite and listened to what I was looking for. He checked my walking gait as I thought I had an issue after noticing wear on my other shoes.
Had no issues for 5 weeks but went back to the store after noticing cuts on the side walls on both shoes. The manager was called and he said it was my fault I must have cut them against something sharp! I had only been on treadmill.
I the. Contacted the manufacturer direct who said they have a 90 day no quibble return policy and to return to the shop who they expected to honour that. I replied saying they were not willing to do that. A complaint ticket was raised and eventually I was offered a replacement pair by the manufacturer not. This shop is not following the brand guidelines and just didn’t want to know. Very poor customer service.

I've just started running and needed to purchase decent running trainers. The shop itself was very busy and the staff were attentive. The assistant helping me was very knowledgeable. He listened to my needs. Let me try on lots of different trainers without rushing me. Trainers are perfect. Will defo return

On visiting Achilles Heel today there was fantastic service and knowledge of their products was first class.

My assistant was great person to work with, no pressure, very helpful member of staff and good knowledge of his trainers and his colleague also very friendly.

Great atmosphere in the store and no pressure to buy also sharing experiences of different peoples needs, I now have my name on the system and I would strongly recommend this store.

Tried a set of trainers on my child, ran from one side of hall to the other, sent back as they were collapsing. This was within 2 days of delivery. They would not refund- taking up with card company. Never had this problem when buying direct from Nike, Asics, Saucony and i buy trainers very regularly. My advice is buy direct.

They arrived fast but the box that it was in had sticker rips and the tissue paper were some old ones with tears in them. Wouldn't recommend them if you're gifting shoes :/

Ordered a pair of the white Nike structure 25’s with the lava and blue swooshes, they are so comfy! Can’t wait to wear them out on my 5k today, looking forward to seeing the benefit of the soft cushioning on my shins and the plush landing with my heel strike. Amazing price on these, they were £40 cheaper than Nike so I got the sprint delivery for £6 and they were with me next day, couldn’t ask for more, thanks Achilles Heel!

Brought some Nike alpha flys3 worse them for one half a marathon and the soles fell apart.
Returned them by post to receive an email stating I had worse them multiple times.
Poor service truly believe the trainers are not genuine to fall apart the way they did.

Second time in this shop when I've been ignored or the staff were indifferent. I went today to buy a pair of running shoes and the staff member available ignored me twice, then went and served a customer that had just walked in. The previous time I was with two friends who were looking for walking shoes and the staff member was very obviously not keen to provide the right service (gait analysis etc). I had great service from this place in the past, but now I feel like I somehow don't fit anymore the profile of a customer worth their time. I've taken my custom to another shop in the city centre. It's a shame, because Achilles Heel is literally five minutes away from my house.

I went to return a pair of shoes I bought a week ago that weren’t right for my feet, and I had worn them outside so I was hesitant to return them in case they didn’t take them. The manager of the store came to help me find a better pair and allowed me to swap them, and was so understanding and helped me find shoes that worked for my feet really well. Highly recommend.

Good product but had an issue with the color not matching the picture. Overall, I’m satisfied, but that small detail was off

I was up from Southampton visiting a friend in Scotland & she highly recommended this store & I was not disappointed! I was served by Ewan & he was brilliant! He was so knowledgeable & knew exactly what I needed. The Hoka trainers he chose for me after watching my gait are amazing & have changed the way I walk by giving me fantastic support & comfort. I would highly recommend this store (wish they had one down South!) & their brilliant staff - so glad I went to them.

I went to Achilles 9 weeks ago as my p/t advised me to get a gait analysis and get proper shoes as I wanted to run in the Manchester 10k and I hadn’t run since leaving school & I am 67. The staff were great and thanks to their help I bought a pair of Saucony. I completed my first 10k yesterday. Now thinking of doing Glasgow 10k so when I need my next pair I will be going to Achilles.

We went to Achilles Heel Glasgow to seek advice on a particular type of trainer shoe due to my wife having the foot injury Planter Plate.
From the initial moment of entering the shop, the staff were professional, friendly & approachable and made you feel welcome plus the store is dog friendly and they didn’t mind our hyper energetic Yorkie Terrier being in the shop.
Steph and his staff are a font of knowledge when it comes to running shoes, foot injuries and other issues associated with feet. They spent time with my wife looking at her foot, trying on different trainers to check width, length and comfort when she walked. The staff weren’t at all pushy and looking for a quick sale instead they wanted to ensure that my wife was fully happy and content with the trainer they recommended.
I would not hesitate to go back again ether to get advice from Steph and his team or to buy a specialist running shoe. The time Steph and his staff spent with my wife talking and showing concern about her foot injury was so much more helpful than the NHS Podiatrist who diagnosed her injury initially.
I throughly recommend you visit Achilles Heel Glasgow if you need specialist advice on running shoes for foot injuries.

He always has expert knowledge and has been able to help me with a range of issues over the many times that I have seen him, and I highly recommend his services
