PMU Artist: Proceed with Caution-Not the Results I was promised!
By
Prior to the procedure, I disclosed that I had previous work done by another artist. At that time, I was assured that my eyebrows could be corrected and that the desired result could be achieved. It was only after the procedure and after I expressed concerns about the outcome that I received communications emphasizing the difficulty of working over previous tattooed eyebrows.
My primary concern is that I specifically requested dark brown brows. Instead, the healed results are black. I have since consulted with other artists who informed me that adding more pigment during a touch-up would likely make the brows even darker, rather than correcting my concern about the color. As a result, I do not believe that a touch-up adequately addresses the issue I raised.
A refund was offered, but I was informed that it would not be provided unless I FIRST removed my Yelp review. Additionally, despite my willingness to accept payment electronically through Zelle, I was told that reimbursement would only be issued by check. I am concerned about the overall integrity and professionalism demonstrated throughout this matter. Due to the circumstances surrounding the procedure, the representations made before treatment, the handling of my concerns afterward, and the conditions placed on the proposed refund, I ultimately felt compelled to file a complaint with the appropriate licensing board. I did not take this step lightly. However, I believe it was necessary to seek an independent review of the conduct involved and to ensure that my concerns were properly documented and evaluated.
Throughout this process, I have made every effort to be honest, cooperative, and accurate in describing my experience. My concerns have remained consistent: I requested brown brows, I received results that do not reflect what I requested, and I do not believe that adding additional pigment is an appropriate solution.
