Excellent service and support. Very grateful for my experience with Advantage Testing.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Bob. He was patient, kind, enthusiastic and always thorough. He brought my daughters scores up and was a pleasure to work with. He had all of the materials necessary -study packets for math, English, and science, as well as practice tests. He mapped everything out with a detailed schedule and I trusted him right away. I knew my daughter was in good hands. I would recommend him to anyone. Hiring Bob is the smartest thing you can do.

Over the years, my children have worked with many of the tutors at Advantage Testing of Boston. They have had outstanding experiences with each and every tutor that they were matched with. They each used tutors for both the SAT and subject tests, and all of their scores increased substantially on each and every one of the tests. The tutors got to know my kids, what their learning styles were like, specific areas that needed focus, and were a constant source of encouragement. The tutors clearly had experience with and a thorough fund of knowledge of the test and the topic that they were teaching. In addition, each child was always matched with what seemed like the absolutely perfect tutor for them. I can't say enough about Advantage Testing, and would definitely recommend them as the best place to go for standardized test tutoring in the greater Boston area.

I wholeheartedly recommend Bob Myer without reservation - I cannot recommend him highly enough. He was extraordinary! He tutored our two children for the ACT and really got to know them not only as thinkers and learners but as people. He recognized their distinct strengths and weaknesses and utilized different strategies, tips, and techniques to help them achieve their ideal scores. He was incredibly supportive, encouraging, and respectful of them and accessible to them and us as well. He has his finger on the pulse of his students and is personally invested in their success and accomplishments; they could not have achieved their goals without his help.

We had a wonderful experience with our tutoring. Our tutor, Risa, helped support our daughter who is an enthusiastic learner but was nervous about placement exams. Risa helped inspire our daughter’s confidence and supported her curiosity. Her energy was so infectious that our daughter begged to continue on with tutoring just to learn new concepts and keep up the relationship. The enrichment has been amazing during distance learning. We cannot thank Risa enough!

Both our son and daughter were tutored at Advantage by Dan Kusik. Dan was thorough and patient and, perhaps most importantly, provided each of our children with the confidence necessary to approach these exams. Both of our children ended up doing very well on the SAT due in no small part to Dan's help. Dan was also very responsive to questions that my husband or I might have and/or that our children raised. He was also extremely helpful in deciding on the best timing for both preparation and sitting for the exams. We are so grateful for Dan's help and would recommend him extremely highly.

Our tutor from Advantage Testing was phenomenal. She took the time with each of my children to really get to know them and to structure a learning program that was geared towards their needs. She was knowledgable about the specific tests we were studying for and her substantive knowledge of subject areas was impressive. She was invested in their success each step of the way. I would highly recommend Advantage Testing.

We used Bob Meyer for SAT tutoring and Math I Subject Test Tutoring. Bob improved my daughters SAT score by over 300 points!! She also got a perfect score on her math. Bob is very personable and he does a great job of explaining concepts. Bob has many methods of explaining, so he finds a way for every student to understand and reach their full potential. I would highly recommend Bob to males and females with all personality types. He is very motivational!

Bob is without question the most outstanding teacher any of our four children (three now in college) have had the privilege of working with. I can’t say enough about the depth of his concern and his ability to communicate, not just with his students, but with parents as well. He is a wonderful, good hearted person with a gift for teaching. There aren’t enough stars to praise his work properly.

We used Dan Kusik at Advantage Testing to tutor both our children as they prepared for the SATs. The results were fantastic - in both cases, scores increased by a very significant magnitude. Our kids actually looked forward to their meetings with Dan. Their sessions were highly productive and handled in an encouraging and affirming manner. This approach is a real testament to Dan's ability to connect with his students. We also saw an improvement in their overall academic skills and grades. Dan helped my daughter with her teacher certification exams, and we will use him again when it is time for our kids to take graduate program exams. I have referred Dan and Advantage Testing to numerous families who have been so pleased with the group's approach and the results. We give Dan Kusik and Advantage Testing our highest recommendation.

We had an excellent experience with Advantage Testing because of
Dan Kusik in the Newton Centre location. Dan developed a strong and positive rapport and tutoring relationship with my daughter. His tutoring methods and materials were very effective. As a result, my daughter's final SAT scores increased to 780 and 800. Dan and his team also helped my daughter with her AP tests in which she scored 5s in all subjects taken. She said the study guide and tutoring was most helpful for the AP History exam. I would recommend Dan Kusik to any student and parent looking for effective support and help with college entrance exams. Dan also reduced the stress of taking these tests with his methodical approach and kindness.

All three of my children have used advantage testing for standardized test preparation and the results have been amazing. I strongly recommend Dan as he has a way with children and manages somehow to motivate them without pressuring them.

The first time I stepped foot in advantage testing, I was intimidated… I already knew my performance on the SAT diagnostic would be poor, because I lacked confidence. However, when I met Bob Myers, who, has now become what I consider a very dear friend of mine, I knew I had a shot at doing the absolute best I could on the SAT. Yes, the hours were long. Yes, there was a large amount of work that I needed to do in order to get to where I wanted to be. And yes, I was encouraged to take at least 2 6 hour SAT tests every week during the summer. And of course, I went each time. I say “encouraged” because I was never forced to go—I always wanted to go. Bob’s tutoring methods made me want to achieve a better score for myself, not because I was trying to get into an extremely prestigious college that required a certain SAT score. I had such a positive experience at advantage testing that I was looking forward to my meetings with Bob. I was excited to show him how I was improving each meeting we had together. Sure, there were times that I was overwhelmed. But I say with confidence and without hesitation that every second with Bob was worth it. Bob was real with me: Bob told me when he expected more of me and my work, and Bob told me when I needed to work harder. However, Bob’s words only made me feel more confident in my work, because over time, his genuine thought and care led me to do exactly how I wanted to do on the exam.

Theresa Marie is a true professional and has helped both of my daughters maximize their potential on the ACT. She is smart, kind, funny and thorough with her weekly feedback. I can’t imagine using anyone but TM for all of my family’s testing needs.

Bob Myer has been an amazing mentor and tutor. He helped me understand different concepts and strategies to perform better on the SAT. In addition to working with Bob, I also worked with Kousuke for Math, Biology, and Chemistry. Kousuke has been of enormous help as well.

Both my sons benefitted tremendously from being tutored by members of the Advantage team. The tutoring covered high school classes, AP courses and SAT prep. Their high school grades and SAT scores improved significantly. The Advantage team taught my sons strong work ethics, organizational skills and diligence which are skills that they will use throughout their educational careers. I wholeheartedly recommend Advantage.

As much as I genuinely dreaded ACT prep, Advantage did it right. My tutor, TM, is the best human ever and we are still in touch today, well over a year after I finished working with her. I know a bunch of people that have used Advantage and all had positive experiences. I felt very well prepared going into the test. Preparing for standardized tests is truly awful, but I would do it all again to hang out with TM every week!!

Bob guided two very different boys through the standardized testing process, and both achieved the results that Bob stated could be attained after the initial evaluations. We all appreciated Bob’s passion, dedication, humor, and thorough understanding of the process, together with his realistic assessment of the expected outcomes.

Kousuke tutored one boy in math, with great success. His ability to communicate was excellent, and his manner was always positive and helpful.

We had used 2 other standardized testing companies before coming to Advantage. We recommend Advantage without hesitation and with enthusiasm; they truly are the best in the business.

After working for several months with another tutoring company with no score improvement, my son began working with Bob Myer and Advantage Testing for SAT/ACT prep. Bob helped my son effectively learn important math and grammar rules and testing strategies that ultimately improved his score substantially. Words do not do justice to the incredible work Bob does with his students. He is the best there is. We will unquestionably seek his help when our other children are ready for test prep.
