After being stuck on the M25 in my transit van I called 10 companies that could not help me because of the weight and size of my vehicle. The AA and RAC both quoted a 4 hour waiting time. I called all Herts and they were able to get to me within 20 minutes of calling they took me and my van back to Chesham. Cannot thank these guys enough. From the first call they were friendly polite and extremely professional. The operator really knew his stuff. If I ever break down again I will not be using anyone else. I highly recommend these guys would give them 100 stars if I could. Top top recovery company

Will was great! A lovely kindhearted chap who rescued me after I broke down on the M25. Got me home safe and sound in no time. I felt totally safe and in good hands after what was a pretty scary moment.

If I could use 1 word for this company SPECTACULAR!! From start to finish absolute amazing. Jade who picked up the phone was very polite and reassuring. She sent out a gentleman called Jake who really knew his recovery. I have a Porsche 911 GT3RS so was weary of just calling anyone. But these guys have the trucks that come down at a zero degree angle. My vehicle was shown great care and even down to small things they ensure that your car is really cared for. I requested a recovery I got way more than that. Thank you for the amazing service

Amazing service. Joe was so helpful and polite on the phone. Called me a few times on the way down just to make sure I am okay. I was stuck on the m25 with my daughter which was really scary but Joe was really quick to recover us home safe and sound. Highly recommended.

Ali was fast friendly and polite extremely knowledgeable and was a great person to talk to when he picked up my van.

Drivers are really helpful and caring, they came down to me within an hour (like they said over the phone) and they had my car on the bed in less than 5 minutes in a very orderly and professional way, he even went into the petrol station and offered me a drink. Anyone who’s having troubles with their vehicle I 100% recommend this company.

I rate this company very highly. Stacey answered the phone and was polite professional and very re assuring from the start they said they would be with me in 30 minutes and arrived in 15 minutes. The truck they sent out was new and very clean. The technician was fantastic. And really knew his stuff. Would definitely give this company 5 stars

Awful. Waited over 2 hours and still not given a real time of arrival.

Truly awful company. AVOID at all costs.

My son and I were at basketball tryouts about 70 miles from home when my car hit a speed bump too fast and my ABS system completely failed. I called them for assistance at around 1pm and they stayed in regular contact to reassure me that they were on their way as soon as they could (they had lots of other breakdowns to attend to) and were going to get my son and I home, which they did, in time for dinner. I want to thank Bailey in particular for how professional and kind he is and I would give this company 5 stars for it's fantastic customer service.

Trusted the website and called got quoted £ 180 for a maximum 30 minute journey and the lad on the phone called me “an f word idiot” for asking to lower the price down to a sensible amount.

Interesting how people can still survive in the business with manners like this.

DO NOT USE this company!!!! was told they would be collecting my vehicle within the hour it took 2.5 hrs charged me £234 to recover from Hoddesdon to Harlow which is EXTORTIONATE then failed to send me my receipt… called on numerous occasions and was lied to…. he then resorted to swearing at me and being vile down the phone asking me who I think I am to which I replied a customer wanting a receipt then he put the phone down

They claimed they would attend within 1hr and took £50 deposit, didn't turn up for 2.5hrs and then charged £180 to jump start the car. Despite their website claiming recovery from £50 , £180 is actually min fee they are liars and con artists DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Company took 4 hours to arive after advising they would be thee within 2 hours. Could only pay by BACS so a receipt couldnt be issued. Chased the company for 3 weeks to obtain a receipt for the insurance just kept getting fobbed off and then stopped aswering my calls. We are now out of pocket by £245 as we do not have a receipt. Do not use them or their sister company (Romford Recovery) at any cost

Absolutely horrendous company!
Left my husband standing around for hours after saying they’d collected the vehicle & it was on the lorry
2 hours later & still not recovered
Will not answer your calls & if they do they hang up on you.
Can’t cancel the call out because they state they are there, when they aren’t.
So
Completely unprofessional & can’t believe they are still able to trade in such a way.
Save your money & your time, go elsewhere!!!

I needed a recovery company to assist me in towing my car from home to my dealership less than 3 miles away. I found this company online looking for local recovery options.

Price was supposed to be in the region of £60-70 but when I arrived at the dealership, the driver demanded £234.00 to release my car from the tow truck.

As I did not want to engage in a difficult situation with the driver, I paid the amount they wanted and decided to call to Office to question the price. I was constantly diverted to a mobile number and the person who answered fobbed me off for 2-3 days saying call back another time.

Making no headway I contact the tow driver as I still had his number. I asked for an invoice as one was not sent and he said ask the office.

After 3 days I become a bit more persistent calling the office but they became rude and abusive and put the phone down on me insulting me. They then blocked my number. I tried calling from other phones, but they reacted the same way and blocked those numbers too.

I have now become another name for the list of victims by this fraudulent company who held me to ransom with my own car.

I have reported this to the Police. Awaiting contact.

For anyone else out there....AVOID THIS RECOVERY COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, OTHERWISE YOU WILL BECOME THEIR NEXT VICTIM!!!!!

Their website looks flashy but you will notice if you look closely there is no VAT number, company registration number, address or email addresses, only a 01923 telephone number which when you call will always divert to a mobile number.

On 'Company House' website a company with this name Herts Recovery Company (taken off their website) dissolved in 2015

After two days of phone calls requesting an invoice to no avail they are now blocking my calls. £300.00 IS AN EXCESSIVE CHARGE FOR A 10 mile recovery. But reading the reviews below it seems to be their common charge regardless of distance.

Avoid at all costs. Scam artists. Quoted one price then charged a different, much higher price when the car was on the van. £300 for a 7 mile recovery. Utter scum bags. Use anyone else and save your money.
