Our story began back in 1987 in the South West when two surfers designed our first product. Their brainchild, the ‘Hook and Loop’ watch strap. It was here that the Animal name was born, and an iconic adventure began. Poor quality products and even poorer customer services
Purchased a coat from the Cheshire Oaks store on 19/10/25.
After only 3 weeks the zip broke off in my hand.
Attempted to call Animal customer services during opening hours, no answer.
Then contacted Mountain Warehouse, who own the Animal brand, automated service advised me to email with receipt, pic of damage and care label, which i did, received an auto reply stating this email inbox not monitored and then directed to help page.
Tried ringing MW warehouse customer services, 114 in queue!!!!
Sent message via their portal...no response.
Rang local MW store and they could not help
Eventually did the 80 mile return trip to the store.
Refund issued.
No apology.
Poor products and absolutely no customer service.
Would not purchase again.
*** standard response received ***
Issues not addressed.
Not even an apology
And ended with...thanks for choosing to shop with us!!!!!
Clearly standard response to negative review.. or as Animal call them..constructive.

Diminishing quality. The brand not what it once was.
I bought a fleece lined zip up jacket from Mountain Warehouse. I used to love the Animal brand and always rated the quality of the clothing. I can say now that I feel the quality has diminished, the stitching wasn’t great and there weee lots of ends. Also there is a metal badge that has been fastened with stitching and it looks like it was done by a five year old. Safe to say I will spend my money on other brands that have the quality I have paid for. It’s a no from me now.

I went to the Bude store looking for a new t shirt. I was served by a helpful young lady called Rayna, she explained about the different styles and also told me they had a promotion on 2 for £35 so I ended up buying two.

It’s was a busy summers day in St Ives Cornwall. I was looking for summer shorts and Josh who served me couldn’t have been more helpful. A great guy who went above and beyond to find the size that I needed. He is a credit to the store.

Great clothes and really helpful staff
I saw a changing robe I wanted online but realised I had left it too late to get it delivered before going on holiday. I rang the St Ives branch and they had one left in stock. They agreed to keep it for me until I arrived. When we went to get it the assistant was really helpful as I saw a hoodie I wanted. She checked the stock online and talked me through the options to get what I wanted. I ended up buying a lot more stuff, but got 10% off for leaving a review. Great clothes and really nice staff.
