Just a disclaimer- I might not be ‘verified’ as I didn’t buy it directly from Annie Sloan, I purchased from a local authorized dealer. I REALLY wanted to like this paint and I shelled out the money to buy a few different colors. The first one I tried was ‘Olive’. First it doesn’t look anything like olive, more like a light sage. Yes, I’ve been told I can buy the ‘dark’ or ‘black’ wax to make it darker but that’s ridiculous the color should look like the color without having to add anything, period. My second qualm is that the underlying wood will come through no matter what you do, so it’s not an opaque paint, you’ll always see a distressed ‘rub-through’. I used two coats of paint and three coats of wax and still you can see! I wish someone told me this before I spent over $200 on paint and brushes. I heard Joanna Gaines has a line that I might try and if that doesn’t work, I’ll have to revert back to simple interior paints, at least I know what I’m getting.

Although blue is not one of the colors I have my house decorated in, I enjoy all of Annie’s books regardless what color she is suggesting. Her paint and projects are always first class.

I ordered a color card, and it arrived quickly. I like having color samples in my home to choose a paint color. I wish there were more pictures of the different colors with the different choices of wax because it does change the color quite a bit.

J adore vraiment cette peinture, très agréable et facile d application.

Found the paint harder to use than shown in many videos. It was hard to even out and the project took longer than expected. Decided to distress the hutch since I couldn’t get an even tone. Also the paint color goes on much lighter than appears on the color chart. I used coco came out light brown.
