Asks for study material few days beforehand to prepare for the lesson and encouraging extra help anytime. with Apprentus everything has been clear and straightforward. All good! Every now and then I get a new request from this platform, so it seems they are doing their marketing right. Totally recommend for both teachers and students :)

Their platform is quite easy to use. I wanted to find an online one on one dance instructor, and my search was quite seamless. It's been 2 weeks of me practicing with my instructor, and the communication on Apprentus has been very seamless

Als leraar/ docent hier registreren is gelijk aan:
- plots dure lessen aanbieden; ze lappen er best veel geld bij voor zichzelf
- als een leerling stopt, wees maar zeker dat je een dreigmail krijgt van hen. En dan bedoel ik echt dreigen met je van hun platform te slijten, verwijten je van buiten het platform om lessen aan te bieden, maar stellen uiteraard geen enkele vraag. De reden waarom iemand stopt, wordt niet gevraagd. Hun dreigen is dus nog eens gebaseerd op aannames ook.
- dreigen ook leerlingen af die lessen willen terugbetaald krijgen. Fijn.
- elk bericht waar je een cijfer in vermeld wordt geblokkeerd.
- platform stelt zich boven de wet en verwijst naar de eigen terms and conditions. Mag en kan niet.

Kortom, dit platform gaat zeer wantrouwig om met docenten. Ze trekken conclusies gebaseerd op eigen aannames. Aan alle docenten: begin er gewoon niet aan. Gelukkig van al die dreigmails word je niet.

While searching for a teacher I stumbled across this website. After navigating the website I noticed some weird things though.

1. There are fake profiles quite regularly. It is obvious from the profile picture that it's not the face of the person. Reverse image search can confirm this and also sometimes it's just a picture of an influencer or similar. These profiles still have the checkmark next to the name which is an indicator that they are not properly checked.

2. There is no option to directly report profiles and the only way seems to be to write an email.

3. The writing of Imprint/Terms & Privacy is rather bad and also very inconsistent across the other national sites (apprentus.fr, apprentus.at, etc.)

4. The website seems to not be maintained regularly

I would be careful with the offers on this site and I would recommend not signing up directly with email and password, who knows how well they store personal data..

It is a terrible model for a company to spring a €40 "membership fee" at checkout. Really?! Along with a supposed, buy a pack and save message. I just went back on the site from the beginning to make sure that I didn't miss this message along the way, but no, they seriously waste your time looking through teacher profiles with a posted rate to then tack a fee at checkout. It's annoying and dishonest. I would have considered a membership fee, but as a moral stance, now I can't sign up.

It was a pleasure having Joy teach my son Chinese. As we haven't had the opportunity to use the language much, Joy was patient and made learning the new language fun. She was very patient and well prepared with the necessary materials. Thank you very much.

Apprentus is a very secure and reliable platform. I am very satisfied with their support service. They are always helpful and their answers to the questions are very detailed.

J’ai eu très bonne expérience avec Aprentus. Ils m’ont trouvé très vite un vrai prof d’anglais pour aider à mon fils tout près de chez moi. Mon fils a adoré le cours.

Very disappointing experience. There is no transparency in the pricing: the price shown on the teacher’s profile was completely different from the price during booking - more than twice as much.

The teacher was unprofessional, stopped responding to my questions about the price, and did not show up for the agreed lesson, even though I had already booked the court myself.

The whole experience felt misleading and unreliable. I am honestly wondering whether there are real, verified teachers behind this platform. I cannot recommend Apprentus.

Apperentus is a great platform for finding language tutors.

The main issue with Apprentus is the lack of pricing transparency.

At first, a teacher’s profile shows a clear hourly rate, but once you start the booking process, the final price becomes much less clear. Extra membership or platform fees are added, and currency differences can make the price feel different from what was shown on the profile.

The booking process also feels restrictive. I wanted to book only a few focused tutoring sessions, but the platform made it difficult to clearly reserve exactly what I needed without extra costs or package structures.

For students or anyone working with a strict budget, this creates unnecessary stress. You only understand the real cost once you are already deep into the booking process.

The teachers themselves may be good, but the platform should show the full final price earlier and make short, flexible bookings much clearer.

Os contaré lo que me pasó como profesor en esta web.

Me escribió y reservó clase una madre (la típica sosa mosquita muerta) con su irresponsable hija, para dar una clase.
Lo propuse una hora: las 3 de la tarde. No obtuve ninguna respuesta ni por parte de la madre ni de la hija.

Después la mosquita muerta escribe en mi perfil que estaba muy decepcionada conmigo que a las 3 había estado esperando la niña. Cosa que es mentira porque para empezar no obtuve ninguna respuesta.
Y las clases hay que preverlas con antelación: estuve hasta las 2 esperando a que se dignaran decir algo y nada.

La verdad es que a diferencia de otras páginas que no voy a mencionar, esta intentó mediar entre madre e hija y yo, aunque si te escriben una mentira semejante no te lo quitan del perfil.

easy to use and connect with relevant teachers

Apprentus is a great way to find teachers for any subject. The website is easy to navigate. If one is not satisfied with their teacher they can easily change to another. Personally I had only positive experiences using Apprentus.

Manque de transparence tarifaire flagrant

J'ai voulu réserver un cours affiché à "Dès 19€/h" sur le profil du professeur. Au moment de payer : 21€ pour le cours + 25€ de "frais d'inscription" non mentionnés au préalable, soit un total de 46€ pour un seul cours d'une heure. Plus du double du prix affiché.

Face à mes questions, le service client a d'abord prétendu que le tarif affiché correspondait à un pack de 5 cours — information introuvable sur le profil. Puis un second agent a fini par admettre que "les frais d'inscription ne sont pas mentionnés au début".
Leurs CGU stipulent pourtant que "le prix exact d'un cours est toujours affiché sur la page de cours". Ce n'est manifestement pas le cas.

J'ai conservé toutes les captures d'écran et les échanges email. À éviter si vous n'aimez pas les mauvaises surprises au moment de payer.
