Scammers! Misleading description i thought it was a live air traffic api but it wasn't and they didnt refund me!

As a student initially interested in using flight tracking data to develop an accurate machine learning model to forecasting flight departure delays, I encountered my first challenge: finding an API provider willing to collaborate without financial gain.
To my surprise and appreciation, Aviation Edge immediately responded to my inquiries, offering their support and enthusiasm for my educational project. Without hesitation, they granted access to their data to support my school project and offered any assistance they could provide with their resources. I found the customer service to be nothing less than exceptional, especially considering I am a student (on a different continent) asking for their sponsorship for an academic project.

When working with the data, it is retrieved via API, and was conveniently accessible in JSON format. This allowed for easy data transformation into my desired format and allowed me to continue and finish the project for school.

Scammers, they offer a very low price to get your card and them they scammed you with fraudulent charges. Banks should block this company

i am writing to share my experience with
aviation-edge.com. Unfortunately, my interaction with the company has been less than satisfactory, and I feel it's important to bring attention to the issues I've encountered.
I subscribed to the Developer plan, which was advertised at $7 per month. However, I was charged a one-time fee of $299, creating confusion and dissatisfaction.
The communication regarding billing and subscription details was unclear. I expected a recurring monthly charge, not a one-time fee.
I have contacted the company to address this matter and requested a refund, but the response has been slow, and resolution seems elusive.

I chose Aviation Edge for the virtual flight tracking map I'm building. So I mostly used their Flight Tracker API along with the Autocomplete API. The data has pretty much all the details I want (I focus on aircraft details + route details + flight status). I usually spot a few missing flights but find it tolerable among 15k flights. It's worth the price point, especially with the first month discount. $7 for live data is a dream tbh.
One thing I'd want to have is airport name translations but not a dealbreaker.

Very easy sign-up, website is good to navigate and the data has good value for the price. There are some issues at times but overall its well worth it. Mostly I'm using the flight schedule API and their flight tracker API. There is some delay at times at flight tracking but that's understandable
