Absolute joke. Flight was delayed for over 6 hours due to a lighting strike on the inbound flight to Newcastle. They had to get another plane from London. By the time we arrived at out destination it was 4am when we should have arrived at around 4pm. Submitted a claim with aviation adr and received no communication from them whatsoever. The wife asked me today if I’d heard anything so I logged on to find out that TUI had submitted a defence and the adjudicator had ruled in their favour and closed the case. The fact we lost a whole day of a Christmas & new year holiday to Tenerife doesn’t seem to count for anything. We book with TUI all the time and are going to Egypt in a few weeks so if your reading this TUI we will not book another holiday with you ever again. Book for 10 days and only get 8 1/2 seems like a fat deal.
AviationADR handled my claim against EgyptAir professionally and fairly from start to finish. Although the process took several months, the team kept me informed at every stage and carefully considered all the evidence submitted by both parties.
I especially appreciate their persistence in following up with the airline after the final determination, which ultimately resulted in the payment being made. Their communication was clear, professional, and supportive throughout.
I would like to thank the Administration Team and the Adjudicator for their hard work and dedication. I highly recommend AviationADR to anyone who needs an independent and fair dispute resolution service.

Really horrible process.
Website is clunky and the first time I spent ages compiling everything only for the website to 'lose' my files and request that I start a new claim.
I started a new claim and Ryanair requested an extension twice - which was "granted out of fairness". Then when trying to submit my response to the absolutely ridiculous lies that Ryanair submitted, I pushed submit whilst trying to navigate between the different pages. This then prevented them from accepting my response and they are 'unable' to edit it?
In the spirit of fairness that doesnt seem right at all!!!
My Ryanair flight was delayed 3.25 hrs because of technical reason - depressurization. Problem was advertised by pilot before start. He also informed passengers that flight highness will be a few kilometres lower then normal, so we need to take more fuel and we will be late in Manchester. After flight Ryanair ignored my complaint for compensation but aviation adr said Ryanair is right because weather condition was bad. Unfortunately I remember fantastic sunny day in both airports and during flight as well and nobody mention about weather problems at this time. Don't use aviation adr if you have problem with Ryanair. They will work together against you. Go straight to court.

Finally after months of being ignored by KLM, engagement with the AviationADR brought a resolution. I was VERY impressed with AviationADR.
The website is a little clunky to navigation but its all there.

We used AviationADR following a significant flight delay with Ryanair after failing to reach a fair resolution directly with the airline. The process was clear, structured, and handled professionally. The adjudicator thoroughly reviewed the evidence from both sides and upheld our rights under UK261 regulations. Both payouts were received in full. A reliable service for resolving airline disputes. Thank you to the team.

I had a dispute with an airline following a significant delay in their response to my delayed flight expenditure reimbursement claim. As soon as AviationADR were involved, I received all payments from the airline soon after. Great efficient service with clear and regular communication throughout.

The organisation processed our complaint against an airline thoroughly and fairly. Rightly, they found in our favour and required that the relevant airline provide us with compensation. The website is a little 'clunky'. It was not obvious to us that the "Messages" tab was the main way that the process (which felt mainly automatic) made further requests of applicants, but once that was apparent it became easier to navigate. Perhaps the emails stating that the case has been updated should explicitly state to check the message 'tab'.

Excellent portal and uploading of files. Well advanced system and great results

Delighted with the service. I had voluntarily offloaded with easy jet at their request and they subsequently claimed I'd been on the flight and refused to pay any compensation. I submitted my claim through ADR. On completing the forms ADR pursued my claim to a successful conclusion albeit Easyjet dragged this out for a further 4 months following ADR's involvement.

Took 3 months but eventually got the right result in my claim against EasyJet after they bumped me from an overbooked flight. Tool on the website is a bit clunky and not easy to follow, and everything moves forward at a snails pace. But at the end of the day they do have clout and ensured EasyJet fulfilled their obligations.

The service is free. I did receive a small compensation from Easyjet for a delayed flight. The procedure requires several months of patience.

My issue was that I was denied boarding by Ryanair. I did receive the compensation which I clearly stated in my claim on the web page to Aviation ADR but what they did not take into account is the legal arguments which is under Montreal convention to investigate the pre-paid expenses. Their argument as to why my pre-paid expenses should not be eligible is that it is not under the EU regulation but they did not even try to investigate the matters further and therefore are useless for actual problems. If you are seeking the compensation it is an easy claim and everything is clear, airlines most likely will pay that. They should also investigate matters further rather than just focusing on this one law. This was very disappointing - I am down 2000 EUR and Aviation ADR did not help at all and this is directly the airlines fault.

Unfortunately, had a negative experience regarding this process. Myself and my passenger along with approx 10 others were queuing for a flight to London Luton, from Queen Alia airport and were sharing a queue with a flight to Dubai, as the Airport overlapped both queues 15mins prior to closing time of the London flight. We remained in this queue however, staff stopped calling us up. We were left waiting in the queue and then they re-opened for Dubai only. We took pictures of the boarding sign being still open, which was time and location stamped. We were never able to make the flight despite continuous attempts to contact Wizz Air and airline staff. Travel insurance didn’t cover it as it was an operations issue. The airport didn’t help because it’s a Wizz Air issue. The airport staff act on behalf of Wizz air staff at this airport. They never gave us formal paperwork stating denied boarding and said they don’t know anything about the forms. This was escalated to the manager working for the airport and we were told it is a Wizz Air problem and this happens all the time.
We then had to stay another night in Jordan at our own cost and booked to fly out the next day with a different airline.
A claim was placed with Aviation ADR in Dec 25, however, due to delays and errors made by myself and Aviation ADR in the booking process this got delayed. I received an email on the 10th of July, saying there had been a change to my case, however, due to Aviation ADR managing the case on my behalf I had to contact them and received the reply last night, that due to it technically not being a denied boarding it does not count and will not be covered. Wizz Air states no denied boarding was given out, so it doesn’t qualify. Also, due to the delay in Aviation ADR replying to me past the 7 stipulated days, the case has now formally been closed without me even knowing about it. I at several points have had to send follow up emails due to not getting replied with Aviation ADR. There seems to be some glowing reviews and rightfully so, as they have a tough job under tough circumstances, however, this whole process dragged out to nearly 9 months since the flight.
I’m pretty disappointed by this and saddened that our legislation didn’t support us in this case as they’re blaming this more on an operational error of the airport staff, as we never received a denied boarding form as they stated they knew nothing of these forms, which means no compensation for us as the consumers. No penalisation or lessons learned from this has been passed on to the airline staff, so I fear this practise will continue, as the airline was highlighted an issue with their contracted staff but as it proved a financial loss to themselves they have ignored it.
Something to be aware of with our laws. We’re not covered unless others play their part… which for us never happened 😕

In January 2026 KLM has cancelled our flights from Frankfurt to Norwich with a change in Amsterdam without providing us with accommodation or alternative route.
As the result it costed us over €1000 to get back home by train.
Initial complaint to KLM got us refund of ticket price , that’s all.
With the help of ADR we’ve got back almost all back , €820.
It took a good few months because “Dutch Royalties” were fighting hard for every cent but ADR people know what are they doing and we are happy with an outcome.
Thanks!

Warning to anyone thinking of using AviationADR / CDRL: Expect long delays, automated bot responses, and a process where no actual human looks at your evidence.
On paper, they claim to provide independent dispute resolution. In reality, your case is handled by automated scripts:
They ignore actual evidence: In my case, the airline explicitly agreed in writing on the portal to refund my flight expenses. CDRL’s automated system completely ignored this consent and published a decision listing £0.00 for expenses.
Empty promises of human review: When I pointed out this obvious software error, I was told it was escalated to the Chief Adjudicator with a 21-day timeline. That deadline expired with zero human contact, while automated system emails blindly continue to chase payment for the wrong amount.
Objections go into a black hole: My portal status has been stuck on "Objection Review: Pending" for weeks. It is clear that no human adjudicator ever opened my file or verified the airline's actual response before closing it.
If you are considering using CDRL, be prepared for an automated runaround where nobody actually reads your file. You are far better off bypassing this process entirely and taking claims straight to Small Claims Court.
Update: in response to the CDRLs reply below: I already created a ticket weeks ago to raise this issue (ticket id A001084), but have yet to receive a response. Please could you raise this internally so this gets picked up finally.
Update: after escalating here it has now been resolved, so updated my review from 1* to 3*, reflecting the point it was resolved successfully in the end but took many weeks, several support tickets and raising here to get there. Either way, thanks for resolving!

My experience was positive because the team was professional, approachable, and communicated clearly throughout the process. They explained each step in a way that was easy to understand and responded to my questions promptly. I felt that my concerns were listened to and treated fairly, which gave me confidence in the process.
The company does a good job of providing a fair, impartial, and well-organised dispute resolution service. Their communication is clear, they keep customers informed about progress, and they handled my case in a professional and respectful manner. They also appear committed to resolving disputes based on the evidence, which helps build trust in the process. Continuing to maintain this level of transparency and responsiveness will help ensure a positive experience for future customers. Nevertheless, one negative comment is that their adjudicator and chief adjudicator should have adjusted my claim as per undeniable evidence provided which did not take place in my case and therefore I received less refund than expected.

The ADR were amazing at resolving our claim with easyJet, at first the airline were extremely stubborn on settling a dispute where they were clearly wrong. Although it took some time for the whole process to be completed the ADR were able to get me and my partner a deserved refund! Couldn’t recommend more

Took 4 months to go through the process after the airline dragged its feet for 4 months. Finally had confirmation a payment was to be made, shared bank details, but then nothing and it’s been over a month. Claim was marked as paid and closed, but no payment received. Clearly no point to doing this if the airline can ignore the outcome.
