Avigofly Are SHADY SHISTERS
I purchased a very inexpensive plane ticket through avigofly and then for 3 days I did not receive any form of confirmation so I called them. You ALWAYS get voicemail so I left a message. Several hours later a guy named “Michael” calls, not because of my VM, but he said he saw a missed call from me. He looks at my stuff and of course he cannot honor the price because that sale price “expired”. He quoted me a price $145 higher than the original price and because it was still cheaper than the airline I agreed to pay against my better judgement. The next day I got an email from the airline confirming my reservation, but when I went to reserve my seats it would not let me. Called the airline and they tell me the “booking agency” voided the booking right after they made it. I called avigofly several more times over the next 3 days with no return call. I finally called my credit card company and disputed the charge. Left another VM for avigofly letting them know I cancelled payment and of course they called me right back. I told them I had been calling them repeatedly for 3 days and “Michael” said they had a “glitch in their system “ and when I said “for 3 days and you didn’t call people?” He quickly moved on and said they did not void anything and it must have been the airline, which of course it wasn’t. I told “Michael” I stopped the payment and he said “ Oh so you don’t need the ticket then?” When I said no he said “have a nice day” and promptly hung up.
I STRONGLY recommend people DO NOT buy tickets from avigofly. I saw where this company has pulled this bait and switch on many other unsuspecting people. You might eventually get a ticket, but is it worth not knowing if you have a ticket till the day before or once you get to the airport? Had I not called the airline I would have shown up at the airport without a ticket. These people are SHADY to say the least…….STAY AWAY. If it sounds too good to be true, it almost always is.
