My lawyer from avvo was inexperienced and unethical. Avvo approved my review on her in 2021, then took it down in 2023 claiming I was not detailed enough. I was very detailed about what I experienced. The lady did not know law. Avvo refuses to protect future victims of this woman by not allowing people to see what she has done.

I'm an attorney and was suckered into advertising/marketing with Avvo. To date, I have received exactly zero leads or return on the investment. I have contacted multiple people with Avvo including but not limited to my account rep and have received nothing but silence. You might as well flush your money down the toilet because it will be less frustrating and equally as profitable as advertising or marketing with Avvo / Nolo / Martindale.

My daughter hired Rosenkranz Law Firm for me when my husband was ill and we need to get some personal stuff taken care. He help me in so many different ways.
He explained everything to me so I would understand it. It was handle very professional. I would hire him in a minute. Everyone in his law firm where very cordial.

Don't trust that company. A lawyer stole my money yet he's rating is 10 they only approve good reviews

This website is designed for only 5-star legal reviews, if your review is not satisfying the lawyer reviewed it will be immediately dismissed "due to violation of rules" and there is, in fact, no way not to violate rules designed to protect lawyers from any score lower than 5.

I dealt with family law attorneys for over 5 years in NJ. Actually, I was initially an avid supporter of Avvo and relied on it. After experience, I have found out that Avvo is actually gets paid by lawyers for reviews. Hence, you will see disproportionately positive reviews for some lawyers. It is unthinkable for me that any lawyer would be so popular.

In reality Avvo will delete your negative review even after providing them proof of misconduct. Surprisingly , you will find hundreds of "5 star" review seven for the attorneys sanctioned by Supreme court for ethics violation.

Avvo is nothing but a marketing website, paid by lawyers and sponsored by lawyers.

Never rely on Avvo reviews.

Avvo does not allow truthful reports about lawyers by their clients, thus Avvo is not useful at all, misleading people that are seeking legal help.

I was so lucky to have found a great lawyer at Perez Law firm. Her name is Leticia Perez and I was looking to get my citizenship. I looked for a lawyer because I had problems with the law in the past. Leticia was not only very professional but also made sure everything was in order before submitting my citizenship application. She did a great job, fast and kept me in the loop. Leticia is also a family and criminal lawyer. I would recommend Perez Law firm 100%! If you want good results and a trustworthy lawyer; Perez Law firm is very recommended. I plan on hiring her for a custody battle. Trust me, I don't just trust and hire any lawyer, but I know I am in good hands with Leticia.

So in an honest review of an attorney that was submitted this evening, it came back rejected along with two other reviews I submitted weeks prior. They were holding on to two reviews for weeks and then hit me with three rejections all at once. The latest one cited that I "simply accused ____ of criminal activity or unethical behavior with no factual details"? First of all, NOTHING in my review was "simply" done by anyone in any way. That's such an extremely negative, judgemental and opinionated, such a targeted and biased approach in characterizing my review, how is this place still in business? Who talks to people like that? Then you're just going to hit me three rejections all once with reviews I submitted at least 3 weeks prior? At least. How this platform is still in business is my biggest headscratcher, but most importantly they need to show some more respect to their constituents. I do not know if this is how they address other people or not but just from a quick glance at these ratings it seems like that I am not alone in this. Whoever you are who is extremely judgemental about my reviews you need to watch your mouth. At any given point in life you can lose your job that you have taken advantage of in a heartbeat, you need to be more respectful, the rug can be snatched from under you anytime. It sounds like you are dissatisfied with your career. If you are that disgruntled I suggest you go see a career coach or a therapist. But coming to work unhappy with your life it shows just by how you "simply" talk to others.

In lieu of the business's response, that your system automatically accused me of accusing others of criminal activity, something I never said, I still don't buy it. Your system may be smart but it's still a dumb machine that can't do anything until you tell it to. Nor do I believe your system is running around accusing users of saying things I never said. Grossly mis-characterizing and putting words in my mouth before it's rejected. Again, without code, your "system" is useless. Nice try trying to pass the buck off to your "system" while banking on hoping I'll just accept your response as credible because you may believe that I may not be tech savvy enough to know the difference. Even if what your saying is remotely true, then you should change your code. It's not appropriate for your automation to accuse me of something I did not say. I have never heard of anything like this before, runaway rogue code hardwired for contempt. I stand firm and as I said before, again, your company needs to adapt a more respectful approach to the manner in which you address me, because automated or not, I will not tolerate being accused of saying something I didn't say. It's slander. How is your automated system going to respond when I tell it that I'm going to sue your company for defamation? That's probably where the automation ends and a real human lol has to step in and undo the damage right? Get it together!

I posted a question under the ask a lawyer section. Will my case be settled? "Shopping While Black". Shortly after posting my question my entire post was removed. When i asked AVVO why. i was told A lawyer did so without reason, and my post would be reposted. I still haven't received an answer for my question idk know if my question is viewable. Please tell me who tried to silence me? BTW No evidence was submitted during the ROI, and it looks like i will win in full by default judgement. AVVO Thank you by being poor at providing help you may have saved me millions on attorney fees.

I’m so grateful to Tracey and Channy at Tracey Cruz law firm out of Santa Barbara California they were so dedicated and knowledgeable about law and how things work in the courts system. Channy was my champion she carried me through the whole process and we prevailed and I’m super happy to have been represented by them.

In my opinion, AVVO is harboring corrupt lawyers from public sunshine. I have left a honest and trustworthy review of a lawyer, AVVO denied my review and no response. In my opinion, AVVO is acting as a coverup website for corrupt lawyers.

Attorney marketing is a complete rip off. Their sales staff promise leads and acts very optimistic when convincing you to sign on. I have received ZERO leads since signing a six month contract that they refuse to cancel.

If I could give zero stars I would. Immediately after signing up, I had one attorney respond to my question and it was nonsensical...I cannot imagine any attorney with a legitimate law degree responding with, "Know what you do, who is not pay the dentist more than you would always have they weren’t at work."

On top of that, within two days of posting my questin, my email was flooded with spam. I didn't have this issue until signing up with them.

Aggressively censors negative attorney reviews citing dubious “community rules.” Cannot be trusted as a reliable source.

Fake reviews. Such a scam website. I found a high rated lawyer through them and it was tucked up. I post a review about my experience on avvo and it was declined😂now I understand why this useless lawyer had a such a high rating and only nice reviews

I had the same experience with Avvo as many others apparently have as well. They do not allow honest attorney reviews to be posted. I would not trust their site as a source when looking for an attorney.

I used to make a lot of money at one time, until I got cancer & a botched donated surgery only could be fixed by money. I found out the hard way I was better off doing my legal work myself, I did my own divorce, custody situation and now bankruptcy by myself (Upsolve.com) Not only is it difficult to get any pro Bono help, legal aide spend an average of less than 5min (if u can get in touch w/ them) reviewing your case. Avvo is simply a waste of time each time I try I only received discounts, etc for services. Well to all you attorneys, I was a surgeon until cancer & my life was flipped upside down. Pls remember there is no way you can possibly be ready for every situation. I don't care if what comes around goes around, I only care that while in practice I took care of everyone as if they were equal. I'm embarrassed by the medical and legal professions, however only those who have become jaded in believing they're better than others & would NVR find themselves in the same situation. Good luck to you, as for everyone else AVVO & legal aide has proved over and over that thanks to the internet & a little knowledge you're better off on your own.

Don't trust their ratings! Low quality website that doesn't allow honest negative reviews about lawyers. Their Better Business Bureau rating is F (the lowest possible rating) and they fail to respond to complaints submitted through Better Business Bureau. If you're trying to find a lawyer and want to see real reviews, look elsewhere. Like many other people said here - Avvo is a scam.
