What has happened to Azamara?

What has happened to Azamara? I've been on 2 cruises with them and both were well above average across the board and the staff was excellent both times. Excellent in that they were friendly, helpful and cared enough to tune into small details to make your trip special. Most of all it was from a genuine place not just trying to get a tip or something.

I've had a 3rd cruise booked since my last one and had to postpone it due to Covid. At the time, it was easy to do I called and during 15-20 minutes conversation got it all changed. Since being bought by a new company you cannot get a hold of them, early, mid day or after lunch. Their online website that was being transitioned has had all kinds of problems for 5-6 months now, some peoples cruises and itineraries completely lost, I think they got recovered but can you image the persons panic it happened to. Most of all the reviews of their on board service has fallen and that's what made them special.

While they were not considered a top notch luxury cruise line, they were an all inclusive line at a more affordable luxury price point. They seemed to cater to the over 50 crowd with a genuinely more personal staff. Now they mainly seem to boast about having a 4th ship so they can go more places. That's great, can you at least take my call or retrun my messages through the website to help me either ask for a refund, transfer my cruise or pay off this cruise? In my eyes they've fallen from a solid 5 to an average 2.

Where is my money ???

I was warned before I cruised with Azamara that, while they will debit your account immediately, they are not the quickest in paying money they owe you.
I was booked on an "all inclusive" cruise (which was anything but) as part of a package holiday.
Unfortunately, I did leave a substantial credit balance because I cancelled a couple of land trips, and booked a replacement.
It is now over a week since I left the ship. I have sent 2 emails that have not even had the courtesy of a reply, so I have tried a 3rd today.
With the competition out there, I don't think I will be using Azamara again.

Our experience has been exceptionally…

Our experience has been exceptionally professional throughout. All the Officers and Staff fully engaged with the guests throughout our World Cup cruise. Logistically there could be improvements, especially embarkation and anything else that is not necessarily in the direct instruction/control from the ship. We have heard of the World Cup guests complaining (understandably) but if you wanted to see a live match you should maybe have gone direct and not cruised when Azamara announced the changes. All games are shown live onboard and food and drinks supplied at each location.
Still 3 days left on this cruise and looking forward to everyone of them.
Again, Captain, Hotel Director, all senior officers and Cruise Director at hand, visible and approachable, even serving us food at Brunch and BBQ evenings. Cruised 50+ times with all major cruise lines and have not seen this attention to detail for years.
Improving the shoreside experience would have given the 5 stars,,,,

Was für ein Horror mit Azamara Club…

Was für ein Horror mit Azamara Club Cruises !
Reise sollte am 16.4. 2022 von Venedig ablegen. Dann am 30.3. eine EMail Schiff fährt jetzt in Ravenna ab. Man soll sich keine Sorgen machen, für komfortablen Transfer (2.5 Stunden) wird gesorgt. Diejenigen die Anreise nach Venedig selbst gebucht haben, sollen ein Formular ausfüllen mit allen Daten. Nach 3-4 Tagen bekommt man die Infos zum Transfer.
Nach einer Woche immer noch keine Infos. Ich schreibe Azamara Deutschland an mit der Frage, wann ich die Details erhalte und bitte um Info, wie der Transport, der bis dahin ungetesteten Passagiere von statten gehen soll.
Info von Azamara Deutschland : Wie sie nach Ravenna kommen, ist uns egal. Sie haben ja die Anreise nicht bei uns gebucht.
Man könne selber organisieren und die Kosten einreichen. Dann prüft man nochmal. Kostenübernahme ungewiss.
Dabei steht im Infoschreiben klar : For any guests that booked their air independently, please take the time to share your flight information with us before April 4th, 2022, at 11:59 PM EDT so that we can arrange complimentary transfers appropriately.
Ich habe jetzt schon keine Lust mehr auf die Reise. Einen so miserablen Kundenservices hab ich noch nie erlebt. Wie soll es dann erst auf dem Schiff zugehen ?
Ich kann nur empfehlen die Finger von dieser Cruise Line zu lassen ! Null Empathie, null Kundenservice.
