Bought from a truck at Mclendons in Sumner wa. Very high pressure sales!!! Had to pay a tip. Slid in the chicken pork package. The meat if it's meat is horrible. Thawed it out and was amazed how much water there was. The texture when eating was not that of steak. More like jello. Still don't know what I ate? So I spent $500 on some mystery meat. Kinda scared to eat any more. DO NOT WASTE MONEY buying this crap!!!

BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM! The meat is sliced paper thin and falling apart! I have lunch meat sliced thicker than these steaks steak! My advice is to spend a bit more and get quality meat from a trusted butcher or Sam’s or Costco. I guess you really do get what you pay for! Never again…such a ripoff!

Awful meat
First time i went to their truck they turned me away because they were closing in 30 min.
2nd time my dad went they scammed him into buying $140 of shit meat. Super thin, no marbling, disgusting, chewy

Sales rep Josh and order quality
Sales rep Josh was very personable and easy to work with. We have enjoyed the plain chicken breasts, a couple of the steak cuts that were tasty although thinner cuts than we prefer. The crab was definitely not our favorite, it was a bit stringy and much more petite than we are accustomed to.
Overall it has been quite pleasant.

The ribeye steaks were terrible
The ribeye steaks were terrible! Tiny , thin, yellowish colored fat and just tasted gross! We spent over 400 dollars that day and definitely was not worth it! Do not buy anything from this place!!

So far everything has arrived safely and well packed and quickly.

The packaging sometimes makes the meat…
The packaging sometimes makes the meat look thicker than it really is, for example several steaks were folded in the package and when thawed, they were very thin. The steaks look slightly brown instead of red on the surface. Some are very tough. The hamburgers are gray-brown if you break them in two.
The chicken is all white meat and is soggy when thawed.
No cooking info is included. Especially for the chicken fritters - should they be baked, pan fried or grilled?
It would be helpful to have recipes for side dishes.
We would like to cancel our subscription - we understand that we will still get the free box.

Quality beef
I really like beef, but I do not trust grocery store beef. I am blessed to have such a wonderful source of beef.
My steaks come out perfect in my air fryer. I cook them frozen. There is a difference in the quality with BACKYARD BUTCHER.

We feel that the meat is poor quality. The steaks are too thin the ones that are seasoned or over seasoned and the ones that are tenderized or over tenderized to mush and the other ones have been tough. We would like to cancel any further deliveries.

The hamburger patties were 2 inches in diameter. Some of the steaks were not much bigger. Flavor is ok, but not worth the price
