I cannot recommend Balgores Romford Branch highly enough,from the very beginning,Ross, Louise and the team provided an exceptional level of service, while dealing with the Probate, Valuation and Sale of my late mother's property.
Everyone l dealt with especially Ross and Louise were professional, friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They guided me through every stage of the process,and kept me informed throughout and were always available to answer any questions or concerns l had. Viewings were handled professionally,and they worked incredibly hard to achieve a successful sale.
Selling my late mother's home,which has been in our family for over 50 years was an emotional and sometimes difficult experience. Balgores certainly made the whole process as straightforward and stress-free as possible. Their communication, attention to detail and commitment were outstanding from start to finish.

I saw 2 property made up my mind to buy out right. Rang the chadwell heath branch and men answered. I said hi I am interested in 2 properties to buy can I have a details plz. His reply was can i be more polite. I should ask how is he and how was his day? Is this a joke. I dont want friends mate. Go out more. Make friends. I dont want to merry your mum.
I have funds and I like to buy. No joke.
I belive staff at chadwellheath branch is not I trained in how to accommodate customers and not Intreated in sells.
This is my 3rd experience at this branch and I belive staff don't like non whites there approaching for business. I can see their reviews it proves this.
If I was a land lord I would not give my property to this clowns. Sycastic and recisum I feel in their tone of voice when spoken.
Avoid this branch if you can. You would thank me later.

Donna Hickey the Sales Progressor, maintained the smooth progression of the sale to completion, and all the staff were always willing to help with queries.

We used Balgores Secure, which I feel truly helped lock in the sale and purchase.

We previously went through a stressful sale process lasting around 14 months with Beresfords, which eventually fell through. If a reservation agreement had been implemented back then, I feel it would have had a much better chance of completing.

I had an excellent experience with Balgores Gravesend from start to finish. I came across many estate agents, but Balgroes really stands out for their professionalism, and genuine care for their customers.
They were always understanding and accommodating, especially around my work shifts and availability. Once I moved into the property, my property manager Carlos Paternostro MARLA was extremely helpful, supportive, and always willing to work around my circumstances.
Throughout my tenancy, they carried out regular inspections and safety checks and genuinely looked after both the property and the tenant. When I moved out, I also received my full deposit back without any issues.
I would highly recommend Balgroves Gravesend to anyone looking for a property in the area. If I could give more than five stars, I would give them 10 out of 10. Absolutely excellent service!

My experience during this property transaction was unfortunately far more stressful and difficult than it should have been and ultimately the seller withdrew from the sale after 6 months of trying to close.

In hindsight, I believe it was a mistake to proceed with a property connected to one of the directors of Balgores. To be fair, the potential conflict of interest was disclosed early on, however as the transaction progressed, many of the decisions and communication felt significantly more favourable towards the seller than balanced between both parties.

One of the biggest issues was around completion timelines. We were actively working towards a much earlier completion date, initially targeting October/November, partly because we wanted our children settled into their new schools as early as possible in the academic year. However, towards the end of October, we were suddenly informed that the sellers now wanted completion pushed back to the end of January, which caused major disruption and stress across the entire chain.

At the time, Balgores attempted to reassure us that this was normal and acceptable within property transactions. However, during the later appeal process, the seller informed that the January completion requirement had allegedly been known to Balgores from the very beginning (June), but this information was only communicated to us at the end of October. Had we known this upfront, we would have approached the purchase very differently.

As a buyer, it became extremely frustrating trying to manage mortgage timelines, expiry risks, chain pressures, ongoing legal costs, and constant uncertainty while also chasing updates and clarity.

Although some individuals involved were polite and responsive at times, the overall process became emotionally draining and significantly more complicated than it needed to be. I was left feeling that key concerns, timelines, and risks were not handled with the level of transparency and balance buyers would reasonably expect.

My advice to anyone entering a property transaction would be:

* Get everything confirmed in writing.
* Ask detailed questions as early as possible.
* Independently verify important information rather than relying on assumptions. Again, in writing.
* Stay very closely involved throughout the process.
* Carefully review any Gazeal agreement before signing, as in my experience it appears heavily weighted towards the seller side. (I have written a separate review regarding Gazeal specifically.)

Buying and selling property is already stressful enough, and unfortunately this experience added considerably to that stress.

I have since submitted a formal complaint to better understand whether there was any wrongdoing or failure in how the transaction was handled by Balgores. I will wait to see the response and will update this review accordingly based on the outcome and feedback received.

Ross Burton from Balgores lane has gone out of his way to communicate with us on the sale of my mums property, even checking on the property after mum moved out.

I recently bought a home through Balgores Romford and had an exceptional experience. Oskar was fantastic — always patient, clear, and honest, even answering questions outside office hours. He made a stressful process smooth and reassuring.

The whole team works seamlessly together, and their support continued even after completion. I highly recommend Balgores — a truly professional and client-focused team.

I had just entered the country and was looking for a place to move in as quickly as possible. When I contacted balgores to schedule a viewing, the agent Michael was quite rude, judgemental and pompous and told me how he wanted to check first if I might be able to afford the property in the first place prior to scheduling a viewing or it would just be a waste of time for all of us. Once we viewed the flat, Michael told me how he should be able to get me in as quickly as possible. Once I paid the deposit, he called me and told me that the move in date would not be till the end of the week. It seemed convenient how he mentioned it only after I paid the deposit. I was under considerable duress but I tried to adjust anyways and trusted him. He ignored my calls multiple times and the times he picked up he was rude and unpleasant to speak to and hardly listened to what i had to say and also made judgementsand also snapped back at me. At last , 2 weeks later a day prior to the move in date, he called me to let me know that the move in would be further delayed as there was an issue with a safety certificate and he couldn't even commit to a date when the issue would be resolved. Eventually I had to ask for them to return all the money I had paid close to 3800 quids. Although I received my money back, the discomfort and mental hassle I had during the period was devastating to say the least. Extremely unprofessional behaviors.

We have worked with our agent in the lettings group for a number of years and have been very happy with the level of service we have received. All questions have been responded to promptly in a friendly and professional manner. Furthermore they were very helpful at the end of the contract when the property transferred ownership ensuring everything went smoothly. Thank you.

Negative Estate agent made us feel depleted and stressed after he left. Told us we would be lucky to sell the property. Got another agent who priced us 40k more! and was completely positive in the sale. Obviously working for quick sale and commission. avoid

I changed to Balgores from another mainstream estate agent who were beyond useless. Chris and his team at Upminster Balgores were wonderful. Great communication, attentive, very friendly and so helpful. Abbie and Neo especially were outstanding. Balgores was the agent we used to buy the property. In the final stages of the exchange Billy and Paul both worked hard to get this over the line, especially as the deal ran into some difficulties with our buyer. Our estate agent was great, very organised and prompt responses to emails, helpful during the buying process and good communication. Would definitely use them again in the future.

Prior to the viewing they asked inappropriately detailed questions about finances as if you're trying to buy Buckingham Palace. On arrival the owner wasn't in and was never informed of the viewing. Balgores response: Ah well, bad luck. We don't even bother look at their property listings anymore, to us they're obvious scammers.

Outstanding service from start to finish (nearly)!

I first used Balgores (Basildon) back in 2018 when purchasing my property, and they were absolutely fantastic. So, when it came time to sell recently, there was no hesitation — I went straight back to them.

Within just a week of listing, my house was sold! Unfortunately, my initial buyer had to pull out due to issues in their own chain (completely out of Balgores’ control), but Joe and his team were incredible. They immediately arranged new viewings, and within six days of going back on the market, I had four or five offers — and accepted one!

Over the past few months, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Georgia Yexley, my sales progressor. She has been nothing short of amazing — professional, patient, and relentless in pushing the sale forward. It’s been a long and sometimes stressful process (again, no fault of Balgores), but Georgia has been there every step of the way, offering advice, reassurance, and a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Even when I’ve been frustrated, she’s handled everything with kindness and understanding.

With completion now just days away, I can honestly say the team at Balgores Basildon have been outstanding throughout. I can’t thank them enough — especially Georgia — for their dedication and support.
