Barnet Council Opiniões 

Greg Terenfenko and Deborah St James heads of Barnet Housing are destroying communities and childrens lives.
They believe that it is ok for disabled and young children to be housed with dangerous people, witness knife crime, violence and abuse and gun crime and be woken and kept awake all night and ignore medical professionals who say otherwise.
I would be concerned of having them involved in anything to do with children and families with their views.
They look after criminals and drug addicts but let children suffer.
Watching a borough you have lived in for generations be killed of by them is sad but looking at the current ratings I’m not the only one who thinks so. Sickening and dangerous

They have started missing Grey Bin collections on some occasions. The last time I reported it on the website. Now the "report a missed bin collection" process on the website leads to a Report a Missed Bin Collection Icon to click. That used to lead to the page to supply address details etc. Now there is no place on this page to enter the information. Many attempts were made between 3 & 4 pm today to report this, but the telephone automated voice just refers you back to the website.

Although I paid the second instalment of my council tax the day it was due I received hectoring letters saying that it was unpaid. I phoned the finance department who demanded proof from my bank. Because of the stream of demands I accidentally paid twice and after that a court summons. When I phoned they admitted that the payments had been received. The confusion was my fault as I used the wrong reference number..
I’ve asked for repayment of the double payment but without success so I now have to issue court proceedings. The cost will be borne by the electors.
Is this a preview of the hopeless inefficiency and lack of compassion that may occur if we get a Labour Government instead of just a Labour Council.

Absolute dreadful lack of customer service. I sold my flat & advised them politely I was no longer responsible for the council tax. They replied by email therefore proving they are aware. They can’t be bothered to write to new owners even though I have proof of sale ! They issued me with a court summons even though they know I’m not the owner anymore. I phoned them & the operator kept telling me she’s not backroom staff?? - therefore it was a wasted call. This review will be produced in Court if case proceeds.

The street team at Barnet Council are the worst ever known to man kind. Numerous complaints to the council and local MP but all expect us to live amongst the squalor they leave behind! Absolutely hopeless!

Trust pilot asks the date of service, this is weekly. Poor! Absolutely poor!

This is like not sure even how to explain very badly done service,charging lot from the people who pays them!!!!Maybe because is deferment nationally or ????

They took money from my account for cancil tax, then computer system has some fails and doesn't accepted but money has been taken. After couple days I get letter to go to Magistrate Court.
Outside Court was a lot of angry people with same problem to Council Tax 🤬
They cheating and doesn't care about people. They just want take your money.

Not fit for purpose unless your a refuge and terrorist.

I have trying to pay my council tax for over three months it was originally withheld due to pathetic services but it appears they dont want me to pay they have constantly ignored my request for the necessary reference number needed to pay this tax, they have retained my cheque yet tell me they have no intention of banking it I have tried contacting them by telephone which we all know is pointless and frustrating they have ignored my letter and emails, you would think that in this day and age where we are being informed that all local authorities are short of funds that would be grateful to take payment, I am a 70 year old cancer patient in the last years of my life , to be treated like this is not just ignorant it is blatantly disgusting

We've been renting a property to Barnet Homes for approximately 12 years. We were requested to carry out repairs on a number of occasions, but the tenant never showed to allow access.
We informed the council that if it happened again there would be a call out charge. Same thing happened and we were told we weren't being paid.
This left us no option but to cancel the lease and we duly gave 3 months notice. THAT WAS 8 MONTHS AGO!! We have been told we will get the property returned when they find somewhere suitable for the tenant. We're in negotiations to sell the property with vacant possession and are being prevented from doing so. Our buyer is threatening to pull out of deal putting us in a difficult situation.
THIS IS WHAT LANDLORDS CAN EXPECT FROM BARNET HOMES.

Disgusting organisation. Only looking to rip everyone off. All Traffic warden's are psychopaths, don't even care about their own rules and legislation. Second time i v got fined by someone that didn't wait not even 1 minute before issuing the PCN. Stopping on a yellow line for less than 5 minutes is not considered PARKING!!!! Check the DVLA legislation. Maybe we should stop paying the criminals?

If you are thinking of renting your property to the above I suggest that you read facebook groups Landlord uk and landord to landlord first of the hell that you have to go through in order to get your property back when renting to them under the rent guarantee scheme. I will be updating this forum on a regular basis regarding now having to engage a eviction specialist/suing for repossession to get my home back. The contract ended in Aril 2022 and they should then have handed my property back to me. Let2barnet/Barnet Homes also stopped paying me for 5 months with no reason what so ever and i had to write to the Barnet councillors in the end to get my money whilst the team lied stating that they were paying it.

Today is the 17th of June and to date Let2Barnet/Barnet Homes/Barnet council have still not paid me all the money they owe from December 2022. They are basically letting their tenant live in my property for free and you have robbed me of living in my home for two summers now. They are nothing short of harbour sharks and wolves in sheep's clothing, with machiavellian tendencies.

They just left our bins and our neighbours without collecting the rubbish even though we pay our very expensive council tax. Not leaving any reason behind. They were not heavy or full, fully closed with just usual household waste.

Firstly Barnet sent letter correspondance of a PCN to my old adress. Upon finding this, it had accrued several late fines (over £200).

I spoke to a very helpful advisor on the phone who assured me that all I needed to do was email the barnet helpline and they would arrange for me to pay the original fine price (£65).

I also bemoaned the fact that no one contacted me by email or phone despite Barnet having this info.

I did NOT receive an email response to the one I sent ot the helpline, instead I received yet another letter, explaining to me I had to pay the full price of over (£200) or start a formal appeal process.

The correspondence is a joke and it feels like they purposely do not correspond via email/phone to remove the paper trail, catch you out and ultimately accrue more money from fines.

Im not gonna waste my time and breath on this awful, useless council (if you can call it that.) a council should be a representation of its community and not a group of white people who are 80 years olds with money. So I will use 1 word to describe this council: trash

This Local authority is diabolical! they go to extremes to recover sums of money which they actually should be waiving and are so hard-headed that they won't even negotiate the repayment. Upon this, when they receive the money THEY LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH by saying they haven't received it.

I don't understand how such corrupt liars can get away with so much! They are not even real customer service, they're unprofessional, cowboy imposters who are not fit for purpose!

Barnet is the worst council I've ever come across. They are violent, abusive and treacherous to the people they are supposed should serve.

They get off of financially abusing people when they are down and out. If you are thinking of living under this authority, please AVOID AT ALL COST!, They will molest you, and then rob you out of any financial aid you are entitled to.

A bunch of hard-hearted, senseless jokers! Never Again.

Awful service across the phones, staff do not know why their phones line for gas safety checks either just rings or hangs up happening for the past two weeks and wonder why you ring another line. They arrange gas checks appointments then randomly change it to their liking and wonder why people ring upset. I took time off work for them to their check to add they spammed my inbox with this appointment 4 times in a row which i found unprofessional. Nobody seemed bothered that their lines for gas checks dont work also. They also randomly changed my gas check appointment for another date after wasting my time making me take time off work for this Friday for no reason and tell me they don't know why it was changed also seriously if they dont know who does?. Seem to know nothing i rarely contact them but when I do always a bad service with rude and patronising staff who seems to know nothing. nearly everyone who also lives in the borough say the same thing.

Completely unnecessary Council ! No work is being done ! Incompetent, lazy and illiterate people who are totally careless regarding their job! Completely useless to the community. It is better to fire them all and give their salaries to people in need.
