Wow, CDB has saved my bacon. I briefed 2 barristers before taking a chance with them and I am so glad I did. With 700 to choose from they're placed to find the Councel with the right knowledge and experience to provide sound advice that you can rely on.
The barrister they chose, Huw Shepheard, has phenomenal expertise in tax, and a such a nice demeanour that, if you're in trouble and worried he just calms things down.

Communication with Clerksroom was quick and always effective. The presented me with the great barrister Stephanie is. On top of that they understood my financial struggle, since as we know barrister representation is so expensive, but they were supportive with payments.

Stephanie, more than a barrister approached my case like a friend and got so empathetically involved from the beginning. To admire is her capacity to see through the respondent's strategy and intentions. Always gave good advice in what my position should be and had great experience and knowledge of the family law and how to manage and lead the court and negotiate with the other party and understand what the judge is thinking.

You will always have to do your part in supporting the barrister with the documents on the day of the hearing. Stephanie did the rest of the work and was so sharp and on point about what I wanted to achieve. So great in exposing the other party lies and fabricated allegations and in presenting my evidence. I was able to find this clerksroom direct through a solicitor from a firm who could not provide emergency cover for my brothers hearing. Within less than half a day,Charlie from direct access barrister was able to cover me with a barrister, Stephanie, who was able to represent my brother the following day. This clarks room barristers ( these are a platform for services of Barristers and are responsible for the service they provide to the public) I went though and got put in touch with a barrister ,Divorce/financial we did a contract, for hearing before the final as searches needed to be done and needed + court jargon for it to.well waste of time and money. I had to show my findings to the judge had no option then judge had to compel barrister to do a search of which he has failed todo..so I risk my life to get eveidance he boast he can do this he was a policeman ( ya we know how that works) work in the system ! I paid for answers..Now want my money back and my files .barrister did not carry out the contract to which he agreed todo. It seems respondent wealth is more interesting along with the judges to.my questions to him and my instructions he took no notice off..instead tried to intimidate me in thinking my worth was nothing.I feel lost and abandoned by a person of uk justice system who I connected with though clarksroom Barrister's ..This Barrister has not contacted me in nearly a year now. I have tried to contact him I even found him though another website he went though and had a zoom call he didn't know it was me, and he said he has spoken to the judge and respondent? And did I have respondent email.address! When he clearly has spoken to him and the judge and respondent have clearly talked.shop ..excluded me..but I have no wealth!! I have ask Sam to get me answers but now they just go to voice mail..I want my money back and my files..sort out your establishment..friends and business don't mix.engaged Oct 2023 no show on hearing 12.5.2024...still no contact.hopefully actions are taken.

After trying many other places I finally found Clerksroom, a much better service compared to big or small firms.
Sam recommended an amazing barrister for my case and everything was clear and transparent, Sam was quick to respond and willing to help, great service and a very fair value.

I agree with the others. Only one star. A lot of money lost and I ended up doing it myself. I followed the Professional Standards Complaints Procedure for Clerksroom Direct and Barrister Group, for the same reasons. Inevitably,it was not upheld. It is an internal investigation. Whilst they referred me to the Ombudsman this Company is not regulated by any Ombudsman at all. They are brokers. They sit on messages to the barristers then will hold you to ransom for more money, at the last minute. Go direct to Bar Council to find a genuine legal representative. I wish I had looked at the single star reviews first and would never have contacted them. Steer well clear.

Having never used a barrister before I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, Samantha was very quick to contact me and get up to speed with a complex CMS tribunal appeal hearing, dating back 8 years. There was a huge amount of information to wade through and she managed to cut through it all and offer some really helpful advice to me as the ‘paying parent’.
