Valenica Store - Terrible Cashier Kelsey
I had my first terrible experience at Bath & Body Works on April 19th, and it came down entirely to how I was treated by one employee, Kelsey.
I’m getting married in Cabo San Lucas and have been buying hand sanitizers in bulk for welcome bags. On a previous visit, staff had no issue with us grabbing sealed sleeves from the drawers, so I did the same this time. On this visit, an employee came over to me and asked if I needed help finding a specific scent and politely let me know that going through the drawers wasn’t allowed, which I completely understood (though it might help to have those drawers locked or clearly marked if that’s the policy). The only reason I'm putting 2 stars is because of this employee, and I'm so sorry I didn't get your name, but shoutout to you!
After this interaction, my friend told me the cashier, Kelsey, looked pissed, and was the one who called the employee over with her walkie-talkie, and was "mad-dogging" us throughout the whole interaction. I was like, "Whatever, I get it, they have rules, and the employee was super nice about it, so no biggie."
What I didn’t appreciate was Kelsey's attitude at checkout. From the moment I walked up, her tone was cold, condescending, and frankly unprofessional. This totally caught me off guard because I was being very nice and friendly and thought there was no issue. While ringing me up, she removed all of the sanitizers from their plastic sleeves. When I politely explained that I needed them kept in the packaging for travel, she sighed, argued that they “weren’t supposed to be in plastic,” and thankfully went to get another sleeve.
While she was gone, she rolled her eyes and mocked me to a coworker behind my back, with my friend, who she thought was a regular customer, sitting in a front-row seat to witness the disrespect. That alone was unacceptable.
She returned with a replacement sleeve (which she also managed to damage), continued speaking to me in a dismissive tone, and only then decided to make small talk about my wedding as if nothing had happened.
I was calm and respectful the entire time, which makes this even more frustrating. If there are store policies, that’s fine, but there is absolutely no excuse for treating a paying customer with that level of disrespect.
This experience felt less like customer service and more like being talked down to and mocked for no reason. I’ve always enjoyed shopping at Bath & Body Works, but this bully behavior has left a negative impression.

Been a Bath &Body customer for over a decade. I always purchase 3 wick candles never purchased 3 wick. With a reasonable sale price for them decided to purchase some just for my bathroom and burn my 3 wick in larger spaces. I now understand why these single wick were so cheap. I burn one and left out, goes back in couple hours later to checkout the scent, ??? What scent? Wasn’t none. I let it burn half was down and revisited my bathroom, same, no changes. I blew it out, tossed in trash and grabbed another scent, come on now exactly NO SCENT again…I was heated and reached out to customer care team, for the two I burned they replaced with two of the same scents, I’m sitting on about 4-5 more of these single wicks, did ask how do I know the rest are not the same issue? Rep stated they’ll be fine? How would she/he assume this? Lord behold days later opened another box, this was te most popular scent Teakwood Mahogany…Burned that darn candle down mid way just to smell not a darn thing..these candles were probably left back on the shelves deteriorated over the years and low priced them to get them out..never will purchase single wicks again, the overall quality has went to crap also. It was a unfavorable review, however it was honest. I wasn't vulgar or rude in anyway.
The bottom line is that BBW has significantly cut quality. Bodysprays especially. They arwatered down and have no staying power. Bbw has had 6 years of downed sales and has come in under revenue protections several times.
Even with the downed sales they still had a revenue of $1.6 billion
( approx )last year.
To cut quality to gain more profit is ridiculous. To think they wouldn't lose longtime loyal customers shows they aren't thinking about the customers.
They are making bad decisions over and over and when reviews reflect that they are deleting them.
There are so many other choices for brands other than bbw... Brands that have better quality and better prices. Dont waste your hard earned money on bbw.
I purchased dryer sheets
I purchased dryer sheets. When i received them i was excited to try them out. But when i used them once my blankets dried there was no scent all very disappointing for the amount i paid for them.

The buy online and pick up in store is the best. I like the “not knowing of the smell” I’m puchaseing. It’s like a little surprise for me. I’ve never had no issues at all with them. Ofc I recommend especially when i get complemente. So Ty Bath and Body works!
BAD POLICY
I am a regular customer spending hundreds of dollars year round. I use the wallflowers. I change the plugs out seasonally. One of my plugs started leaking oil on the floor. I took it back to store to be told that if I don't have receipt all they can do is give me the basic plug. I paid $22 and they are offering me an $8 plug. I then called customer service, same response. I have the plug in hand and they do NOT stand behind their product.

I am writing my review due to loosing my 3 rewards. I spoke with a young lady for assistance on using my rewards over the phone. I followed the instructions I was given while on the phone and instead of using my rewards I was charged. Customer service was closed at this time. Once I informed the young lady that my card was charged 44.82 she put her supervisor on the phone. I did inform them I was trying to use my rewards before the expired on 4/2/2026. The sup told me it wud b better if I came in to mk sure that my rewards was properly used n I cud come n on 4/2 /2026 rewards dont expire until midnight. The sup did advise me that I cud call customer service n they would be able to help with using my using my rewards. Not to mention when I went to try n cancel my order it stated I only had 15 minutes to cancel order. Well low n behold I go onto my account and my rewards r gone.When I informed the sup on 4/2/2026 she stated she remember speaking with me n I was suppose to come n that morning . I made sure I asked if my rewards would be avail on the day of she told me yes they had ppl come n all the time the day of and used their rewards. I let her I informed her previously I work 8-5 so I know I didn’t tell her I wud come in the morning of 4/2. They was still very polite but I’m still clueless as to y rewards would end the morning of the due date n not at midnight the day of. I’m very unpleased because I’m not one ever really hv rewards so this was something I was really looking forward to.

I ordered product when they had a sale at 50% off. Aday after I receive my product they advertise the same thing even cheaper. I don't know if I will purchase from them again. Don't drop the price again after I have made a large purchasw!!!!

Visited their Oxford Street London store yesterday and treated myself 1st time with Bath & Bodyworks goodies as I just got paid. 1 girl behind the counter and a queue and 2-3 staff floating around. I asked the girl behind the counter to get someone to help her and she just ignored me. With that, I left the good behind £50 value, and left the store. B&B need to
Invest in customer service and have 2 staff behind the counter ...after all it's the customer that pay your wages !!! Don't keep customers waiting in a queue when other staff are free.
Awful experience
I have been shopping with bath and body works online and in store for YEARS and I have NEVER had an order get lost. I am very disappointed and my feelings are utterly hurt! My order of 10 candles was delivered to someone else while I got their 5 candles. I ordered some candles that are rare and at least one other one that is rarely in stock. My order was initially scheduled to be delivered 3/25 yet it was delivered 3/23….i knew then something wasn’t right. I get home from work grab my package from the porch and instantly felt this doesn’t feel like 10 candles. That’s bcos it was not. It was someone else’s 5 candle and 1 hand soap. I buy BBW candles ALL THE TIME and usually have at least 30 candles on hand that haven’t even been lit. You guys dropped the ball big time and the representative although willing to place a new order LACKED EMPATHY for the situation. She offered ZERO CONDOLENCES and was quick to reorder and cancel. I was just another caller not a long time valued customer who spends roughly $800 or more a year on candles. The main candles I wanted in this order are no longer available and she made no offer to do anything to make up for it other than refund them. ARE YOU SERIOUS the lack of empathy made me want to tell her off then hang up on her she had zero remorse for the situation…ZERO!!! She COULDN’T CARE LESS!!!! What a mess!!!! I’m SO IRRITATED with BBW and the service received all around! No one else is going to have the variety BBW has, but it’s time to shop around and in time I WILL ADJUST to wherever I land!!! IF YOU CANT KEEP UP WITH THE DEMAND OF YOUR SALES AND OFFERS DON’T have such sales that prevent your staff from keeping up with demand. For the record. this WAS NOT a delivery issue… this was a warehouse packaging issue. Your representative didn’t even care to ask such details which could have been helpful to determine the issue and implement a better or review the existing process to prevent this going. The she tells me I can either take the candles to the store or keep them! I wish I would get in my car and drive to the BBW to return some candles I didn’t order while still not being able to receive what I did order !!!. I’d rather throw them in the ditch!!! I’m sure the online team will respond with some generic response rather than a genuine concern and empathy. The rep didn’t even offer any gift card or anything to attempt to make it right. I’m so annoyed!!!

The recent storewide sale of Buy 2 get 2 seemed wonderful--but was actually a bit of a nightmare and overly confusing. I left the store confused and disappointed. Typically the Buy...Get...sales necessitate you BUY and GET the same type of product. This STOREWIDE sale seemed to have everything mixed together. So if you buy 2 $18 skincare lotions, you would get 2 $5 plugins free ???? The salespeople seemed to understand it even less than I did. I finally asked, "Do I need to do 2 separate orders?" Lady checking me out did not know. So I did two separate orders, but it still did not ring out to 50% off. So, the Buy 2 Get 2 was very misleading. I left frustrated and aggravated that I had even gone shopping. (Which was the true crime as I love shopping) This was extremely disappointing.

The last 3 visits to b&bw,were disappointing & frustrating. I shop the app for my local location,then hp there to purchase the items that were supposedly available,in store. Unfortunately,I end up wasting time & gas to find out they don't have it. The staff are no longer as friendly as they used to be.
Great Customer Service

I just wanted to share feedback about the excellent customer service I received today, March 11th around 6:45 PM at the Midland Park Mall located in Midland TX. Aubri was incredibly kind and greeted me with a smile and genuine enthusiasm. She helped me with my items and even assisted with a price match so I could get the best deal, even though I had quite a few products.
I also wanted to mention how clean and organized the store was. During my visit, everyone on staff appeared to be busy working and assisting customers, which was great to see.
It’s very hard to find employees who are truly nice and helpful these days, and Aubri made my shopping experience that much better. Please pass along my thanks and recognition to her.

$8.00 shipping costs for an 8 day delivery.
An online order placed March 4 with an $8.00 shipping fee did not receive any attention until March 7th. Today March 10th I received a notice that my order will arrive March 12th. Why pay $8.00 in shipping for an eight day long delivery? I won’t order from Bath and Body Works again.

Oh no they di int AGAIN at Fashion Fair Fresno
Oh no they di int! AGAIN. In December I here waited in one single line for them to tell me I have to wait because there's another line that's doing pick up orders. Exsqueeze me?! I come back another time to apologize to a manager for my attitude and explain what happened. This manager says that shouldn't be the case If I waited in line and I'm next they should just be able to assist me. Even though they try to do pick ups on one computer, they can do it on any register. Come in today and again I'm told the same thing that that they can't help me and that I need to move one register over. I waited at the register who wouldn't help me, so she couldn't help anyone else until I moved. What was the point of not helping me if you still can't help the next person until I get helped? I know not to do pick up orders at fashion Fair because they want me to wait in a single line and then tell me once I get to the front that I need to go to a different cash register since it's just one step over. If that's what they want to do, no problem, AS long as there is a sign indicating such so I'm not caught off guard waiting in the wrong line.
