We specifically asked how the current offer compared to other rotating promotions and were told it was the best offer for our purchase. Shortly afterwards — and well before delivery — the exact same items became significantly cheaper under a better promotion.
When we raised this, we were told nothing could be done because we ordered in-store and therefore did not have the same protections available as online purchases.
At no point during the sale were we made aware that store purchases have very limited rights to amend or cancel for free (7 days from order), whereas online orders come with stronger cancellation protections (14 days after delivery). This information is apparently only provided in an email linking to terms and conditions after the sale is complete.
For transparency, this should be clearly explained upfront — especially as it can result in a 20% cancellation fee after a very short window.
If we had known this, we would have ordered online instead.
Very poor transparency and aftercare.
My recommendation for customers: if you want a Bensons for Beds product - only purchase it online and not via store.

Details regarding cancellation periods and any applicable charges are outlined in our terms and conditions, which are shared following purchase; however, we understand your point that this information would be clearer if highlighted more prominently during the sales process. Your comments around transparency and communication have been noted and will be shared internally.
We regret that this experience has left you dissatisfied with our aftercare, and we appreciate you taking the time to raise these concerns. Your feedback is valuable in helping us improve how we communicate and support customers going forward.

The person that sold the bed was really lovely wasn't pushy for a sale and really gave us the best bed for our needs not just trying to sell the dearest bed. The delivery was really quick and easy and the bed itself is fab. Very happy all round will purchase beds from here In future for sure

Bought the mattress in the EastKilbride…
Bought the mattress in the EastKilbride store where Stuart served us, he was helpful and advised us on what mattress to purchase . It was a mattress for my mother’s spare room so Stuart said we could buy a refurbished one at half the price which suited us . He explained how the mattress was prepared and all about delivery he was excellent. Bensons kept me informed by email and text about progress and delivery which all went as agreed it was an excellent service from beginning to end. The delivery drivers were great too. Very satisfied with the quality and service from Bensons

James in the East Kilbride store was amazing. Fantastic retail experience and product knowledge. We got a bespoke recommendation based on our needs and sensible advice about the many differences in bed and mattresses to ensure we weren't overwhelmed. My son is delighted with his bed. The delivery men were no nonsense and communication before and during delivery was exceptional.

After visiting the store at East…
After visiting the store at East Kilbride we were approached by Stewart, no pressure, just wanted to guide us to the right section, offered us a little detail as we were looking for a Small Double but tried to allow us time to view products on our own. We made our decision and then for our ease and our lack of time I completed the purchase online, but the review should go to Stewart and the EK store.

Bought a new mattress at East Kilbride store . James was very knowledgeable and helpful. Delivery was one week later , delivery men good , we had arranged for them to take old mattress away, nothing any bother. Would recommend Bensons, pleased with our purchase.
