Bensons For Beds - Gateshead150 Opiniões 

We bought a bed in March 2025 from the Gateshead Branch and when it was delivered part of the bed was broken. A replacement was ordered and we were told it would be 5 weeks until it would be delivered. This is not really acceptable as the bed that we paid for in full was not fit for purpose through no fault of our own. The broken part should have been replaced straightaway, particularly as we were told the part was in stock. Can you advise why we have had to wait 5 weeks for a broken part to be replaced? I have raised this issue and our deep disappointment with Bensons for Beds in the feedback form, but needless to say we have not received a response. We are still sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Thank you.

The staff at the shop in Gateshead were excellent, friendly and informative. However the delivery and assembly team were terrible. Turned up late claiming they couldn’t find the house after sitting 25 metres down the road for nearly half an hour. The state they left the room in after assembling the bed was terrible, polystyrene bits were everywhere including behind the bed, it took me over 30 minutes to clean up their mess. One of the just painted walls was left badly marked and will have to be repainted, paint chips out of the door frame. On the basis of this delivery, unlikely to use Bensons in future.

WELL what do I say - I ordered an iGel NanoTech 5000i Plushtop Mattress £2149 Mattress and confirmed when purchased it was actually in stock as I needed it quickly - YES definitely in stock so bought it and was given delivery date of the 12th Feb - had few confirmation texts too - the day before I got a phone call to say SORRY OUT OF STOCK we have production problems and can't even give you a date when you will get it!!! apparently they have 900 orders for this bed they can't fulfil ??? - yet I can still go online and buy it even though you have no stock. Rang the Gateshead branch where I bought it from who were very unhelpful and couldn't give me any date if or when I would receive my mattress - I asked for a refund on the 12th still not received in my bank yet but says it's on its way !

Great customer service, answered all my questions, very knowledgeable and did not do a sales pitch, let me look and decide what I wanted, no pressure.

We received an extremely friendly greeting when we arrived. The complete knowledge of Louise ,was excellent, and she put us at ease and made the task of selecting new mattresses so enjoyable. We are delighted with our our pending purchase, and consider our money well spent . MANY THANKS !

Definetly do not reccomend Ordered mattress waiting for 2 months initially deliverey was 4 weeks when delivered mattress was marked all over as plastic was ripped to which then complained then got re ordered again another 4 weeks timing was am so phoned customer services to change to a pm appointment which they said will get back to obviously didn't delivery again knowingly I wasn't at home as I was at work then rescheduled to a pm appointment when delivery arrived it was the wrong mattress so I had to cancel as enough is enough company doesn't seem to care big let down was going order another 2 mattresses but not going to bother now

We ordered a mattress at their Team Valley store and had great service from staff there. Today the mattress was delivered and I had to say it was such an easy procedure. I have had a few texts plus a phone call confirming the date etc and when the van arrived today, the 2 young men were lovely and wore plastic overshoes to come into our home. They carried the mattress up to the bed and put it on. Gave us advice about turning it etc then left for their next drop off. Our total experience has been a great one so many thanks to Bensons!!

Sales assistant took time and explained all aspects to me even though as a person i must have seemed bored of the whole process of buying a bed.
It was a good job i had my daughter with me.

When the bed we thought we were going to buy, after seeing it on the web site was unsuitable. We were at a loss. Up step Martin to save the day. A very knowledgeable and friendly person. He listened to what our needs were and pointed out a few beds that would possibly meet our needs. He was a great help and we never felt obliged or pressured into buying. Our recent visit to Bensons For Beds was totally unplanned. We needed a new mattress for sure, but had not made any moves towards replacing it. A couple of hours time wasting wandering around team valley retail park turned out to be more than just a breath of fresh air.
From the moment we entered the store we were greeted and made to feel welcome, without being pressed by sales talk. We were offered to try the computerised test bed to ascertain how the different mattress ratings would feel and to show the difference in the pressure points on your body in the various sleeping positions. This I found quite interesting to start with, but surprisingly, once you move to the various designs of mattress, the comfort rating you get from the computer means very little in itself. The only way to test the mattress is to lie on it, and the differences between the spring counts and the general constuction ie gel, latex foam etc makes a tremendous difference. Like everything I supppose, go for the best you can comfortably afford in the style you like ( either pocket sprung with gel and or foam additions, or memory foam entirely ).
We eventually settled on our choice of mattress, and then as an after thought decided to renew the bed itself as well. Once the colour and material selections were made, our sales lady went through our selections and offered all the usual add-ons like recyling old bed, installation etc. We made our choices, checked on supply and delivery options ( which I have to say were quite quick to be fair ) taking no longer than 4-5 weeks from order to delivery.
The whole experience was easy going, pleasant and stress free. I am now looking forward to getting a good night's sleep in my new bed a couple of weeks from now.

Neal,Angela and Paul made my shopping experience so easy. They were so knowledgeable about the products and did not hassle me to buy. Let me browse before I made my choice and gave me good advice when I did decide. They were helpful, polite and friendly. Talking me through the process of delivery and recycling. Nothing was a problem for them. Give this store a visit you won't be disappointed.

Julie was an excellent salesperson. She gave us all the information we needed but was never pushy. She listened to what we wanted and then showed us some beds that matched our criteria.

I went into Gateshead store to purchase a new Tv bed for my son. I’ve purchased Tv beds from Bensons For Beds twice previously and they have been amazing!
I was then spoken to by Araf he offered to help me with everything I needed. I found Araf very welcoming and so helpful to me and my mam who was with me on the day. I would highly recommend and thank you again for all your help Araf Mallik.
