Just bought a bed at the Oldham store, very happy with the service and the time taken by Emma to explain the options. I gave her my price limits and she found a couple of decent beds for me to try, before I settled on one that suited my needs. Pricing was clearly explained and delivery only 2 weeks away, which I think is good. This is my second purchase here in 2 years and I would recommend

very helpful friendly, attentive member of staff. My only disappointment was that there was no mention of £50 delivery charge, which we saw on the invoice after we had left the store.

Colin was great. He did a sleeppro to find out what firmness I needed as I’ve never bought a bed before. I would recommend bensons.

I recently purchased a mid sleeper bed from the Elk Mill Oldham branch of Bensons for Beds, and my experience has been extremely disappointing.
At the point of sale, I was reassured that the bed would be assembled on delivery. This was a key factor in my decision to go ahead with the purchase, as assembling a mid sleeper is not a simple task.
However, just days before delivery, I received an email from Bensons’ external contractor stating that the bed would not be assembled. I contacted the Oldham branch and spoke with the manager, Darren, who initially said he would check this as he believed assembly should be included. When he called me back, he confirmed that the bed would indeed not be assembled.
I was then given two options: cancel the order or pay an additional £100 to have it assembled privately. This is completely unacceptable. I entered into the purchase on the clear understanding that assembly was included, and this directly influenced my decision.
Darren refused to honour what was agreed at the point of sale or offer any meaningful compensation, stating that because the bed was purchased on promotion, nothing could be done. Whether the item was on sale or not is irrelevant—this was an error on your part, and it should have been rectified.
This situation represents poor customer service and a failure to honour agreed terms. It could have been handled much better by the branch. A simple resolution—such as arranging assembly as originally promised—would have avoided this entire issue.
Overall, this experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I would advise others to double-check all delivery and assembly terms in writing before purchasing.

Just been to Bensons for beds in Oldham was greated by Colin and put on the bed that looks at your pressure points, and went through what sort of mattress we needed. He was very knowledgeable and understood our needs and was not pushy. We felt listened to and advised, and don't normally buy on the spot but did today, and have no regrets.

The young lady was very helpful and explained all the different beds and mattresses

We went to Bensons at Elk Mill, Oldham and found the team were really helpful and knowledgeable.. Colin and Owen were fantastic.. a great experience and would recommend..and Owen was generous with his biscuits.. :)

The service was brilliant from start to finish. The showroom staff were knowledgeable and helpful and the delivery people were brilliant, O and love the new bed too 😁.

The staff at the local Bensons store were very helpful and able to give good advice so that we could decide on the right mattress for us. The store was clean and well lit and shopping there was a good experience.

I visited the elk mill store in Oldham. I spoke to a chap called Colin, he was superb! He is very knowledgeable about all products in store and took his time to explain everything. Ive already recommend Colin and the store to whoever will listen. I grabbed an absolute bargain dont be put off thinking it will be out of your budget there is something for everyone even ex display and heavily discounted mattresses. Colin even arranged removal of my old bed and mattress upon delivery.

Sale was seamless, we were kept updated from order to delivery, delivery team arrived when promised and were courteous and respectful

Lovely experience at Bensons, unlike Dreams where they hound you like absolute vultures I was left to my own devices in Bensons until I was ready to speak to someone, they initially said hello and said if I need anything let them know and they left it at that. That was great.
I was satisfied with the ordering process and the price that was tailored for me. The manager Owen is a great guy and I felt really taken care of. He is a lovely man and very professional and down to earth. Overall a great experience at Bensons. In another league to Dreams!

I had a great experience with Bensons for Beds. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to really understand what I was looking for without any pressure to buy. The range of beds and mattresses was excellent, and I felt well-advised rather than sold to.

Delivery was smooth and on time, and the Trempur mattress itself is fantastic, comfortable, well-made, and exactly what I needed. I’m genuinely sleeping better already.

Highly recommend Bensons for Beds for quality products and great customer service. Would definitely shop here again!

A messy process to get the mattress we wanted. Felt rushed.
We knew what mattress we wanted and bensons was the only place we could get it from. We sat at a desk to do the paperwork, but the person sat behind the desk wasn’t dealing with us. The person selling us the mattress had to lean over the person to complete necessary paperwork. The person sat at the desk didn’t even offer to move for 10 minutes so we could go through the information. He didn’t even acknowledge us and just seemed dam right rude.
The employee selling us our mattress was rushing, missed giving us information and had me sign a waiver where most information had not been given. I had to ask for this information for each point she had missed.
I wouldn’t have stayed to buy this mattress if it wasn’t the one we wanted. But as already said bensons is the only place I can get it from.

The whole experience from the shop to delivery was excellent
