Good experience spoilt by delivery
We bought a sofa bed in your Shrewsbury store. We really like it, just what we wanted and at a good price. Service was helpful, no problem. Unfortunately, we weren't as happy with delivery. The bed arrived on the agreed date, 1st April, and the delivery men carried it upstairs. However, when I asked if they would take it out of the packaging, they refused, saying it wasn't their job. Now this may have been true, but bearing in mind that I am in my 70s and was on my own, I would have thought that a spirit of helpfulness might apply. To add insult to injury, they handed me a card which stated that I'd receive an online survey form in the next few days (I haven't) and told me to be sure to mark delivery 9 or 10 out of 10! When my husband, who is 80 this year, got home, despite being pretty fit for our age, we did struggle to remove the packaging and set up the heavy sofa. We expected the hefty deliverycharge of £49 to include, at the very least, removing the item from its packaging. This has affected our opinion of Bensons.

There was no pressure at the Shrewsbury store, making a choice was a very pleasant experience. Any questions were helpfully and simply answered with a minimum of fuss.

From the moment visiting shop , browsing , and helpful advice from sales rep Matthew ( which turns out he’s another Divine comedy fan of Father ted also ) who fine tuned our requirements and advised us on upgrading bed mattress for same price to another one reduced in sale as the one we had picked , the process of updating delivery date and time too the delivery straight to house and into bedroom location , taking out all the hard work :-) . We can’t Thankyou enough for the experience .

Not impressed
Sales team great, the assembly team has made the experience a nightmare. Considering we have paid over 2k for a bed frame and mattress just to have it delivered and assembled with no care or attention. The whole bed was scuffed and full of mud marks. Our house was not treated with care whatsoever. Not impressed in the slightest.

Bought a kingsize and a small double…
Bought a kingsize and a small double ottoman style bed . Both lovely quality and very comfortable. Delivery was excellent and the fitters were very courteous and tidy.
The only downside is the delivery costs. I was hoping to buy more furniture from Bensons but the delivery costs more than the buy one get one half price deal. The price goes up the more you buy . It put me off buying in the end
