From start to end Shane kept us informed and he is without doubt the consummate professional.
The dash windows were agreed upon with input from both sides and were beautifully crafted in their own factory. The quality is fabulous as was the installation and painting.

The wait has been worthwhile! Simon and John were diligent and extremely easy to have in our home and have produced an excellent result. As a small business Benton & Saunders produce a quality finish, they are sort after therefore you do need some patience but don’t worry. We have decided to do another 2 windows and look forward to having the team back.

Benton & Saunders have restored and installed double glazed sashes on a number of our windows.

Benton & Saunders recently replaced the sash windows on my Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish.

Shane, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and took precise measurements before manufacturing the new sashes. The attention to detail was spot-on.

Simon and John, who did the installation, were friendly, professional, and extremely hardworking—they didn’t even stop for lunch! They laid down sheets and plastic to protect my carpets and furniture and worked with care and efficiency.

Once the old sashes and sills were removed, it was clear they were more deteriorated than I realised. The new windows are beautifully made—crisp, smooth to operate, and a perfect fit. A major bonus was the significant reduction in outside noise, and I’m confident there won’t be any drafts.

Benton & Saunders clearly take real pride in their work, and it shows. I couldn’t recommend them more highly, especially if you have a period property that needs expertise and craftsmanship.

My new windows seem to make the room appear brighter. We shall have to wait for the winter to see how much warmer the room is. Shane and his team worked hard and managed to keep the mess contained to the two rooms having windows done. They also managed to leave everything relatively clean and tidy when finished. Benton & Saunders restored and draught proofed one listed sash window and replaced another with an exact replica. Their work is of the highest standard, using hardwood that will last for many years. My windows are now as elegant and usable as when they were first designed around 200 years ago and the draught- and soundproofing makes a very noticeable difference. They are also a good-natured and considerate team who do the utmost to minimise disruption and tidy up afterwards. As they are a small concern they do have a waiting list but it is definitely worth waiting a little as their work is of the highest quality in this area, as I can now vouch for.

Refurbished most of our windows - some of which were a real challenge. They kindly did half the work whilst we were on holiday, and the remaining work done with minimal disruption when we were at home. We are very pleased with the quality and the results.

Every bit of the experience was great. (This is in contrast with some of the other firms we contacted, who either did not show up for their appointments or abandoned the specification process part way through.) Shane is very personable and LOVES windows. His advice and proposal were very detailed and accommodated all of our desires and requirements. His installation crew were very professional and very nice people along with it. The work itself was done to the highest possible standard and will doubtless see us out. The moment my husband and I met Shane we knew we could trust him. I searched Benton &Saunders and I went with the reviews. And the reviews did not lie. He has so much knowledge on traditional Windows and we went with his advice. He looked after the flat as if it was his own. So much love and attention has gone into the work. I didn't have to be at the place. Just trusted Shane and his team. Honestly I so much recommend these guys. You really can't go wrong with either refurbishment or set of new windows, which we went for both. The windows changed the rooms completely.

We now have an overhauled window with three pairs of new double-glazed sashes which look like the originals but work and fit beautifully, are draughtproof and also reduce audibility of outside noise. The two technicians who did the work were excellent.

We had the office and bay windows upgraded on our Victorian house by Benton & Saunders (previous ones were with plastic frames). We are delighted by the new sash windows and the quality of the work. Simon and John are great professionals. Thanks, Shane, for the friendly relationship.
