Shockingly BAD customer service and purchase experience - please do yourself a favour and 100% avoid buying anything from this website. Saving a small amount of money is simply not worth the hassle, there are plenty of professional retailers which carry the same item.

Terrible service. I returned an item 3 weeks ago, the tracking number states that they are refusing delivery with no word from customer service who are only contactable via a form.

Ordered Telemark bindings in the Christmas sale £100 pounds cheaper than anywhere else, Delivered by DHL 5 days later, Super price, Super quick Dispatch to the UK!!

Bought some ski bindings. £100 cheaper than elsewhere. Was dubious due to other reviews. Arrived exactly as described very quickly via dhl. Would use again.

I ordered climbing equipment (Grigri+carabeaners) and received them in a big box with no stuffing or wrapping to make sure that the metal parts does not scratch each other or (even worse!) to ensure that a dropped parcel would not incur damage that would influence the safe use of the products.

Niet doen als je niet in Duitsland woont!! Prima bezorging en gratis etc, maar er wordt niet bij vermeld dat terugzending naar Duitsland voor eigen rekening is. a 18 euro!! Zeer ontevreden over, zou ze absoluut niet aanraden!

Genuine company. Very good service and great prices. The item arrived in less than a week.

Auf den .nl und .co.uk-Seiten gibt es regelmässig Aktionen, welche uns als deutscher Kunde vorenthalten werden. Das ist wirklich mehr als ärgerlich. So behandelt man seine treuen Kunden doch nicht?

Some of the brands this company sell are good ones. I feel if I have previously bought an item, that I can go ahead and buy it because I know what I'm getting. However, their descriptions are inadequate and often wrong, so I wouldn't want to buy something I didn't already know about.

They don't give washing instructions so you would need to find out about this from elsewhere.

Some items have poor ratings but don't give a review or say why the rating is poor.

Sometimes they say a garment is eg "100% wool" when in fact it is only 80% wool.

Before I ordered the Mammut XSun head torch, I sent an email to the sales' team to query the features. I received a 'helpful' reply and placed the order. I have since received an email to inform me that they cannot send my head torch as it is classed as a dangerous good..... Surely, this was established before I placed my order? This is a misleading sales and marketing technique. The item should have been declined no later than the point of order and the sales team who answered my query should have been aware of any delivery restrictions. Very unimpressed, particulary if I am penalised for any currency conversions...

A friend recommended bergzeit.co.uk, and I've been particularly impressed with the great variety of outdoor brands that they offer in their online store, including popular mainstream brands (Salewa, Mammut...) but also lesser-known brands, such as 66 North, Prana, etc. I also had a very positive experience with their customer service: quick response + helpful advice (in English). And, pricing seems to be fair.

My favorite online shop for all things skiing and mountainbiking. Customer service (hotline and support chat) are super friendly and helpful.

I hate surfing on their website... because I always find something I want! Whenever I order something, the items arrive fast and well packed. You can tell that the people that run the shop know their stuff!

I bought an ARTVA Mammut Element and got it with the display damaged. I called the client service in Germany and they asked me to send it back and told me that they will pay the bill for the shipment. I sent them the bill and they did not pay me yet. They did not even reply my emails.
I am still waiting for the refounding.

Beware! If you order from Bergzeit uk, or anywhere outside Germany or Austria, you will have to pay postage on your returns.

This online retail shop I discovered by chance via a FB posting. Perfect timing - my son & I were about to embark on a camping trip & I had absolutely no idea what to take; from the bare essentials such as sleeping bag, cooking utensils etc. However, they have an customer service hotline (where, I was told about an espresso filter for camping could be purchased, much to my delight - whou'd have thought!!) & even though they are a German company, they give great advice (in english!) & also have a detailed online magazine which has a plethora of info on everything for outdoor activities, including camping (which, was such a relief that it's the reason I'm bothering to write this review!)

I found out about Bergzeit from a UK blogger site and decided to try them out after seeing their huge brand selection. With lots of Scandinavian brands alongside many up and coming trendy brands, Bergzeit offers the dedicated outdoor enthusiast a vast selection. The price is right, their website offers lots of useful content (buyer's guides, gear reviews etc.) and the service conditions (shipping costs, delivery time) for UK more than acceptable, especially when compared to other online outdoor retailers.
Bottom line: definitely worth a try. A true one-stop shop to satisfy all your outdoor cravings!

I order a pair of ski pants, and was pleased to see the order expedited and posted the following day. The parcel was provided with a tracking number, so I could keep tap on the parcels ware about, which was helpfull since it was an international shipment.

Would not hesitate to order again from Bergzeit.
