What a shame this place has so few reviews on here, an absolute gem of a restaurant. Tucked away in the historic Green, a stones throw from the hubbub of Union Street we were met with pleasant staff in a friendly, warm atmosphere. Shown to our table and drinks orders quickly taken, we were given time to peruse the menu and check out the options on the Specials Board. I opted for a starter of Seafood Gratin, which was hand on heart one of the best things Ive ever tasted followed by a main course from the Specials Board of Seafood Linguine also utterly delicious. My hubby had the Cullen Skink followed by a Sea Bass dish which he said was amazing. We shared a cheeseboard to finish, fully satisfied with our meal. We found the staff friendly and attentive and the cost very reasonable for the quality of the food we had devoured. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Betjening okay, lidt dårlig til at opdage nye kunder… bestilte varm cacao og en iskaffe - cacao var for vandet, smagte af ingenting, iskaffe - virkelig ringe, kaffe med isterninger den ringeste jeg nogensinde har smagt 😱

We chose to leave the restaurant after having waited for the food for an hour without any reaction or explanation from the waiters in the meantime. The waiter tried to clean the table but dropped a glass down my back and then forgot everything. Possibly also our order! One of our guests had to leave because her lunch break was over. Wasted by waiting on nothing!
When I finally lost patience and went to the checkout to cancel (our waiter was “invisible”) the waiter there was more busy checking if I was right than apologizing for the unacceptable wait. But she nevertheless pulled herself together to to demand money for the drinks we had spent the waiting time with! Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the food, but the service and conduite at Bistro Verde is beneath all criticism. I can’t recommend anyone to expose themselves to that!
Even 1 star is too much for that experience!!

Fabulous lunch with seafood platter. Generous portion very fresh and great value for money. Good service too. Hidden gem in Aberdeen.
