It was Bose decision to kill the cloud service. They could have made the technology available to someone else… They didn’t need to kill the reason people bought their products.
BOSE QC Earbuds
BOSE QC Earbuds - worked for a year and a 3 days so are out of warrenty. Now just flash red/white which when you search is extreamly common - £300 buds thrown away as Bose customer service don't want to know. They will give you a 'discount' on a new set but why would anyone bother? If I'm going to replace them every year then I may as well buy £30 cheap ones from Amazon as these are no better.
Speaker never arrived 3 weeks later still no refund
I ordered one of their portable speakers on 13th May to take on holiday, and paid a premium on postage so it would arrive 2 days later (as advised on their website) before we left. 3 weeks later and it never arrived. The tracking showed after 5 days it was declined by customs and never entered the UK (it was not clear on the website it was being shipped from outside the UK), and was returned to Bose. I followed up as soon as I saw this, and the online chat bot told me a refund was being processed and I could expect it in 3-5 days. A week later and still no refund, a new chat bot told me it takes 10-15 days to show in my bank and should wait until 2nd June. 2nd June came and went and still no refund. I decided to call them and speak to an actual person, who told me the refund hadnt been processed as they had not yet received my return. I told him that I never returned it, the item never made it past customs, and it is not my problem whether they had it back yet or not. it has been 3 weeks and I wanted a confirmation that I would receive my refund by the end of the week. I also told him I wanted confirmation by email that day that the refund had been processed. A day later and still nothing. i contacted the chat bot again, who now told me my refund was processed yesterday and I can expect my money back in 3-5 working days. I'm not holding my breath....
Buy from them if you want but be warned!
We bought a Soundtouch system a few years ago to have wireless music throughout our apartment.
The Soundtouch app has been a nightmare from the begining. We paid a lot of money because we trusted that brand (from reputation and some very good sounding band speakers we heard). So it was a surprise to have to deal with a product which was good - these speakers sound great - but which was made inaccessible half of the time due to an app completely inadequate. They never dud any upgrade of this app in the last 10 years at least.
And it has now become worse!
Bose has stopped The SoundTouch series and all support. Then in May this year they stopped the wifi connection of the speakers with the app, so you can't connect 100% of the time. They say that you can use bluetooth instead .. but no more world radio channels. No more radio at all. And in fact I spent 2 hours trying to connect via bluetooth to no avail.
You can still connect via AUX to your TV or whatever, but this is not the product we paid a heavy price for.
As a summary, I find the attitude of this company very dismissive of his customers, disrespectful and well .. what an horrible business.
We will never buy ANYTHING from Bose again. Bose use to be = Top Quality. It has fallen to = utter rubbish.

Bose have stopped the functionality of the internet speaker. what is the point of selling an internet speaker if you then withdraw support. Bose have destroyed my confidence in them. I have an expensive internet speaker that is now just a Bluetooth speaker.

NEVER will I buy another Bose product
My Bose SoundTouch devices have all stopped working this past weekend. Programmed Radio presets lost (cannot use as a basic radio). All integrations with streaming services gone. Also now ability to multi-play in a group.
Irrespective of the EOL announcement emails (I clearly missed), this is awful.
I've been a Bose snob for years, believing you get what you pay for.
Won't be buying anymore headphones, sound systems, speakers or anything from Bose.

Soundtouch 20 services removed.
As others have mentioned Bose have removed cloud services for the soundtouch 20. I now have an overpriced, large speaker that requires an aux cable.
Bose say they will offer some discounts on new products should I wish to contact them further but why would I spend more money on a corporation when they can remove services at any time.
Planned obsolescence is extremely wasteful and costly to the consumer but Bose evidently don'tcare for their customer base.
I have and have had several bose products but will never buy Bose again.
1 more item being added to landfill, well done Bose.
Disappointing experience with Bose
Disappointing experience with Bose. Purchased headphones which became unrepairable from 2019. Was advised a 25% discount on next purchase however was told only colours to choose headset were black and white. This is a little silly since managed to pay with 10% discount any colour as a new customer. Why Bose why!
Third pair of quiet comfort ultra…
Third pair of quiet comfort ultra earbuds and they have gone faulty. So called UK customer service number 3 times for over an hour and no answer.
Absolutely disgusting customer service. I paid an upgrade charge for the earbuds originally because my QC 35s could not be repaired.
I have been a Bose customer for over 20 years and I have NEVER had such bad customer service.
I now have a pair or earbuds that sound worse than my nieces £59 skull kandi headphones and Bose don’t seem to want to help. Absolutely disgusting. I like give them a 0 star if I could. What has happened to bose
Extremely disappointed with Bose
Extremely disappointed with Bose, who have effectively turned my excellent Bose SoundTouch 10 and 20 products into very expensive Bluetooth speakers by ending SoundTouch cloud support on 6th May 2026.
As a result, I can no longer use the preset radio station buttons or stream internet radio directly, and instead have to rely on an app on my phone or tablet and connect via Bluetooth.
I purchased these speakers specifically for their preset station and standalone streaming functionality, so this feels very disappointing for what were otherwise excellent products.
I will never buy another Bose product again.
Absolute nightmare - zero delivery, ignored by customer service, and short-changed on refund!
I am extremely disappointed with Bose UK. I placed an order weeks ago, paid over £540, and the entire experience has been a total joke.
The product NEVER even arrived in the UK. According to the official UPS tracking, the package was held at the export gateway in the Netherlands due to customs issues and was automatically returned to sender. I never received or even touched the item.
The merchant's system automatically generated a return order showing a partial refund. Not only have I not received a single penny back yet, but they are also attempting to improperly deduct a delivery fee for a service they completely failed to fulfill. Under UK consumer law, since they breached the delivery contract, I am legally entitled to a FULL refund.
Bose has provided ZERO communication and their customer service is non-existent. I have now been forced to escalate this to my bank to file a formal dispute/chargeback to get my full money back.
Avoid buying directly from Bose UK at all costs. Save yourself the stress and buy from reliable retailers instead.

Worst in UK. Bose and UPS - highly unprofessional combination for managing the delivery. Reporting fake delivery attempted no one at home even we are at home waiting for UPS and Bose in reality no one appear. They losing the parcel and failed yo deliver. Worst customer service.

Very Disappointed. Two perfect, excellent quality, Bose SoundTouch 30 speakers, now useless due to a software downgrade from Bose.
Then they have the cheek to constantly send me emails offering me to buy their new speakers.
I have always loved Bose but as I have no idea how long their products will work for, I can not trust them and will never buy a Bose product again.
Let down by Bose
I bought a Bose Soundtouch 30 smart speaker which cost nearly £400. It had 6 Pre set buttons which could lock in your favourite music and radio stations. Bose have now turned this feature off, rendering the speaker to a £50 Bluetooth/Aux speaker. I will never touch another Bose item again.

I will never, ever purchase a Bose product again until services are restored to the SoundTouch Speakers.
Bose have basically “Bricked” and laughed in the faces of millions of customers who own SoundTouch speakers to save a few pounds.
Customers are your most important asset. Bose sent “1 Email” and that was it, absolutely disgusting how it’s treated its customer base coming from a major manufacturer like Bose.
Bose couldn’t even direct me to another compatible service provider because Bose have blocked customers from using “Presets 1-6” on the SoundTouch Speaker.
This was definitely an attack on Bose customers who owned these speakers.
I hope Bose sinks beneath the waves.

Absolutely terrible how Bose drop support for products. My SoundTouch radio is only 10 years old and now defunct and will not connect to the internet, therefore no radio. I have to buy a new radio and it won’t be a Bose. Also annoying is that Bose has more than one app and it’s not clear which one to use.

And that the pre set stations on my systems will no longer work as people do not use them.
