Scam company and stupid fines
This company sent a letter to my dad with a fine for parked at pear tree home in York and they didn’t realise that my car is mobility. That’s why I don’t accept companies give fines because I find that a scam
The worst payment system
The worst payment system. Who wants to join in suing them?
What makes me even more frustrated is…
What makes me even more frustrated is that I have to give this company one star. If there were an option to give zero or even minus 100 stars, I would choose it.
We initially contacted Britannia Parking, and someone named Mark told us that he would call us back. When he did, he made an arrangement with us to install a camera at our car park. However, we later discovered that the arrangement was not actually with Britannia Parking, but with a company called Parking Awareness Services.
Our experience with Parking Awareness Services has been extremely disappointing. In our opinion, the camera and system were not properly installed, adjusted, or managed. There appeared to be serious problems with how the system was operating, and far too many people were being charged after simply reversing or turning around in our car park.
We raised concerns about this because the system should be accurately configured to understand what is actually happening on the site. Instead, we have seen people receive charges for what appear to be very short or innocent movements within the car park.
The whole situation has left us extremely frustrated and concerned. We feel that we were not given clear information about who we were contracting with, and we are very unhappy with the way the camera system and parking charges have been handled.
I would strongly advise anyone considering using this service to carefully check the company, the contract, the camera setup, and exactly how parking charges will be issued before agreeing to anything.
We must take Parking Awareness Services to court.
Everyone must leave feedback on Britannia Parking and Parking Awareness Services
By all means, they are a bunch of scammer. And they are illegitimate company.
Would give no stars if possible!
Would give no stars if possible!
Absolutely amazed they rejected my appeal ….
I pilled into a pub carpark as was lost and tried to get my bearings as was meeting friends at a holiday park I had never been to, I did not get out of the car as made a phone call . I pulled in for safety reasons to get directions . They said I should have registered my car at reception. I was 15 mins onsite . I’m a blue badge holder as well so would not be able to jump out the car. Disgusting company
Daylight robbery only coz their app didn't register
Awful scammed- i did everything i was instructed on the day at Solly car park in Sheffield. It said i would be charged on exit. As it was in a business district it was a flat £2.50 for the day. Anyway a couple of weeks later I got a PCN thro the post saying I hadnt paid - should have paid within 10 mins of entering on their app which i had tried but it failed. I appealed but just had an email that its all my fault. I will never use this company again and would advise everyone against using them also. Complete disgrace!
Shocking to receive a pcn from this… date of incident 4/6 26
Shocking to receive a pcn from this company as after spending several attempt to pay at the only machine on site the machine kept ending the process with a massage that the machine was out of order. as i didnt have my phone with me as i was attending a memorial service, i could not down load the app, even if i did have my phone I have since found out that my phone wouldnt have worked anyway. I am a disabled veteran and after several repeat attempts to pay, both using coins and by card to no avail. a little while later a passerby advised me that i could park for free at the memorial gardens during the service, so i left the car park and parked close to the memorial gardens. I was in the Britannia car park less than 20 minutes , having been greatly delayed by the inoperable machine and the convoluted signage which initoially looked like it was a council operated car park, thus being misguiding and as their machine was inoperable and the state of the car park looking like a demolition site, I was loathe to park there so left very frustrated as I couldnt pay. I was directed to the memorial Gardens parking area by another veteran attending the same memorial, and parked there for the duration of the afternoons assembly, which was incidently free of charge. I am preparing to send my case directly to the ombudsman, as this company need to be taken to account, as they are deliberately enforcing huge payments for what would normally be only a couple of pounds at max. The date of incident was 4/6/26, date of their notice 9/ 6 /26 and was received on 18/6/26. appeal submitted 18/6/26. Awaiting their response

Sends penalty after discount period has passed
Britannia Parking delay their penalty notification letters so that they arrive AFTER the discounted period has elapsed. The final reminder arrives ON THE DAY of the final deadline. Scam.
Pathetic to say the least
Had an accident and took my wife for a medical assessment later that afternoon and parked at a nearby pub. I did go in for a drink and due to still being distressed unfortunately forgot to add my reg number. Submitted an appeal but obviously there is no considerations from this company which is privately owned (confirmed by solicitors) My fine went up from £100 to £170. There is no way to get in touch with them, no contact details and no conscience. Pathetic to say the least and they prey on vulnerabilities, hiding away from facing individuals and the public.
Went to Saundersfoot harbour carpark
Went to Saundersfoot harbour carpark - paid for 1hr via card payment (got proof) but whilst on my walk back needed to pop into the toilet as I have ulcerative colitis and going through a major flare atm! got back to the car expecting a ticket as went 35mins over but no ticket - but got it through today via photo with it saying NO VALID PAYMENT?? through instead- no way to ask a simple question am I being fined for no payment or ?!
if I appeal it’ll get thrown out (as they have ZERO COMPASSION by the looks of it) and my fine will be £100+
Terrible Communication resulting in Debt Collection Agency involvement
Signs at Plymouth Car Park (next to the Aquarium) do not clearly state that payment is required in advance. We realised this on return to the car and paid retrospectively. However on receipt of the fine, we appealed explaining we had indeed paid but after the event. Realise now, we did not pay enough but received no further communication until 6 weeks later when we get a final demand notice. Due to postal issues, we got the letter 3 weeks after the date. We wrote to them again explaining we had appealed and had not heard anything after this, to receive a Debt Collection Agency notice the next day. They read out our appeal decision but this had never been commnicated with us. Therefore, not only did we miss out on the discounted payment window - we also missed the final payment letter resulting in a substantial financial increase.
You can't call their Customer Service and we have only bene granted 10days extra time by the debt team to resolve. TOTAL SHAM
This parking company is an absolute rip…
This parking company is an absolute rip off. i got a £60 ticket at my local waitrose because i went over the free morning period. I would be happy to pay a small charge but £60 rising to £100 is day light robbery! These parking companies are ripping off the general public and it shouldn't be allowed
Money Grabbers
Paid for 2 hours. Have a blue badge which was displayed. Fell ill. Asked us to pay £100.
This company is nightmare avoid their…
This company is nightmare avoid their parkings. They recently took over carp park at West q retail in Southampton. Poor signs and no clear information about significant changes affecting blue badge users caused me so far 3x£100 parking charge notices. Not escaping of paying for using car park as disabled, but expecting the owner to make clear signs, especially that this car park has always been free for disabled(3h). No signs by disabled spaces, nir at entrance. I am unable to walk around the car park to find new rules, they should be clearly displayed & visible. They request me to pay & i had 2x charge for using car park same day by leaving & entering again within 3 min, photos show faces, people walking along & car reg no of the other car- not following GDPR. I wm now facing either appeal to POPLA or paying them reduced rate for their unfair action. No clear rules from when & how charges apply. This company is killing me. Never avoided paying but if i knew tgey put new rules I would not enter their land, definitely was unaware as 3x fines & more will come. They now put new signs more clear& visible place, scared appealing to pipla as if refused tgen facing £300. So stressful
Biggest scam in the uk is
Biggest scam in the uk is probably this company. A money laundering scam. I had 2 tickets that I displayed within the time frame one was slightly under the other one but you could still see that the time was 15:00 however, they still proceeded to give me a ticket at 14:0. I appealed it and all they did was discount it to £20. So I paid £20 for parking even though I already paid my £2.50 for my ticket. I also have just received another fine saying I failed to pay and the proof images were just me driving in and out the car park! Which they are trying to charge £60 for. This company needs shutting down and reporting.
Faulty cameras at Bromley waitrose
Parked in waitrose Bromley car park while shopping, as I do the same day every week. Later received a fine saying I'd parked in the access road. I appealed and told them I won't pay as I've never parked in the access road. They cancelled the fine but insisted the waitrose cameras were working fine but didn't pick my car up so therefore I did park in the access road but they've cancelled my ticket so I don't need to do anymore however, next time I'll have to do the formal appeal.
I've tried to log a complaint because clearly the cameras are faulty, because they didn't pick my car up but as they've cancelled the fine they're just dismissing me, telling me the matter is closed. How many other people are they wrongly issuing tickets to?
SCUM.
SCUM.
The web address they give you to appeal doesn't work.
How on earth can they get away with that?
Total scammers that don't even deserve…
Total scammers that don't even deserve 1 star - avoid using them at all costs - unaware they charge on entry, returned within my ticket time but because they charged on entry via camera I was 4 minutes over.
I appealed through POPLA and was unsuccessful as they sent a barrage of photos of cameras and signage - set up a payment plan to pay £100 fine and they didn't receive or cash the cheques so it has escalated to bailiffs and CCJs being threatened and the fine going up to £150 when I had paid some of the fine too.
Worst company I have ever dealt with - showed no compassion that I was working and helping patients in a hospital to avoid life threatening falls which took me over by 4 minutes, yes 4 minutes to pay over £150 what a total rip off
The whole experience has left me traumatised and anxious and I will never park there again if I need to work at the Doncaster hospital again.
The worse scammers on earth
The worse scammers on earth. Sent notice to pay while i paid the car park and don't want to hear anything about it.
Typical rogue parking company
Typical rogue parking company. Ticketed because I took a few minutes to pay the parking fee. Wish I'd looked up the reviews before parking.
This is a disgusting company and should…
This is a disgusting company and should be investigated I parked my car at a station car park and walked around looking for a pay point that looked like it was working because the one near my car was clearly out of order I put in my registration number and inserted my bank card the screen then read transaction complete so naturally I assumed I'd paid and then went about my business but two weeks later I received a £60 fine from them for non payment after checking my bank I could see the payment hadn't gone through I appealed to Britania and ask them to check there cctv and they would clearly see me a 77yr old lady using the payment machine as the car park was basically empty they would have clearly seen me but they turned my appeal down and I have been blackmailed into paying £60 or they would double it they are just a bunch of thieves and do not take part in the ombudsman scheme and that's why they are getting away with things like this
