10/10 experience at Browns SOUTHGATE celebrating my 40th surprise birthday party. Our gorgeous waitress Edyta went above and beyond to make sure all guests of all ages were looked after throughout in the most attentive, thoughtful way. We’ll be back!

First and last visit to Browns in Southgate. Shockingly bad service, sat at our table and then ignored for 15 minutes. Had to ask to order. After 25 minutes still no drinks had to then remind the waitress about our table water. Very poor roast beef with vegetables hanging over the edge of the plate on to the table. After we had finished ignored again. Eventually waitress took two of our plates and left the remaining two. Shockingly bad experience

We went to Browns Exeter for an afternoon tea, we waited ages to be served even though they knew what we wanted already, when it finally arrived I was so so disappointed I had waited ages to go to Browns and to be served 2 finger sandwiches and tiny little cakes was so disappointing the cakes were definitely not homemade and were very tasteless, I was expecting a wow from Browns but all I got was a frown and a £60 bill unfortunately not a good experience!!!!

We had lunch at Browns, Exeter. The food was excellent and our waiter, Chris was friendly and served us well.

Had breakfast today at Browns in Bluewater. The server was called NEFI and he was extremely professional, courteous and very helpful. My husband is disabled and required a softer chair and they were extremely helpful in locating one for him, without any problems. The food was absolutely superb. We had the traditional breakfast and everything on the plate was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Having tried most of the restaurants in Bluewater for breakfast, I have to say that Browns is definitely the best quality and choice of food. Wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we are in Bluewater.

On a special day for my wife, we decided to visit Browns in George Street, Edinburgh. We found an available table for drinks and waited for between five to ten minutes waiting for someone to attend to us. No one appeared and even a couple sat at a nearby table were astonished.
Subsequently, we left without even being acknowledged.
Very disappointed.

Very slow, almost non existent service - no consistent waiting staff meant orders were delivered out of sync, Barely interested staff despite restaurant being fairly quiet.
All requests for better service were ignored.
Filed complaint via Browns online form, they sent a reply that dismissed my concerns but invited reply - the reply function not work - that how interested they were in the follow up.

We went for a family meal and the service was amazing our waiter was Louie we was at the Canary Wharf branch he was very attentive and interacted well with the children we had with us if I could leave a 10 star review I would well done Louie

Visited Browns in Kingston for afternoon tea for a group of six. Can’t fault the service and a nice atmosphere but probably the smallest afternoon tea I’ve ever had. Two tiny sandwiches with a tiny egg roll (literally small finger sized) minuscule scones, smaller than the size of a ginger nut biscuit at best, which were so small they fell apart when cut. A tiny slice of cake and a couple of random miniature additions one being a moose that was so small I couldn’t get the spoon into the miniature ‘bowl’. It honestly looked like a dolls version of an afternoon tea. Clearly they have economised at the expense of the customer. Having paid £45 at a nice hotel recently for a much larger afternoon tea for two, at £25 per head this is really not good value for money. Would not bother again.

Had Breakfast at Browns in Ruislip. I chose the traditional Breakfast. It was excellent. Quality, price and service was too. The waitress that served us (Sarah) was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be heading there again very soon.

Surprise 60th afternoon tea all went wrong 🤦‍♀️

Waited over an hour for pre ordered food we were told was prepared 48hrs previously, we were told this as an extra person turned up and they couldn't have afternoon tea, had to order from main menu.
2 people were veggie plus one of these had a nut allergy.
When the food came out the Staff didn't have a clue re allergies and veggie 🤦‍♀️ I asked to see the Manager guess what he was the Manager!!
Then the Waitress said no worries they don't have Peanuts in the kitchen so all is good 😡
This put a dampner on the afternoon.
THEN! they tried to overcharge us by £50, huge discussion with another Manager and they apologised.
I complained to the company received an apology and a £50 voucher which I have declined as that doesn't even buy a drink each. And yes you guessed it, havent heard anything since!

We booked a table for Browns of Bristol on the 16th of July for 2pm for 5 adults . On their website it clearly states that they do a set 3 course menu for £25 from lunchtime to early evening so when we ask for the set menu we were told that they were not doing it today instead they had a graduation menu instead which does not say anything on line about this menu wasn't has good as the £25 set 3 course menu and they wanted £39 so I phoned customer care after talking to the manager and was told it would be sorted this was a blatant lie has ig was not sorted at all . We offered from the £25 menu q inferior starter 2 inferior mains ans 1 dessert We as a party were very disappointed and will never use Browns anywhere again totally con merchants

Lovely early dinner at Browns on Saturday evening ahead of my nieces dance show at Nottingham Playhouse. Food was lovely. Staff super attentive. Great atmosphere. Thank you for looking after us

Browns Restaurants have gone down hill big time since they left Brighton. We will no longer go there!

We have enjoyed going to Browns in Liverpool for a few years now, off and on. Sadly today, after not visiting for about a year, we were sadly disappointed.
We sat in a draught, the service was extremely slow and our starter never arrived, even after we’d asked..then finished our mains and still no joy.
Coffee came a long time before dessert and the peach dessert just looked like the ones from a tin.
The food was ok but prices have shot up considerably and there is no option to opt out of leaving the hefty tip added for you to your bill.
I think service should be slicker and standards as high as the wonderful cocktails they serve (these are still very good!).

Dont use their parking even if you paid leave 10 mins late you'll be hunted down and fined by Euro Car Park gangsters

Visited the Manchester restaurant. We ordered drinks and then wanted to order dinner. Only then were we told there were only about 3 things available to order. None of which we would have chosen! If we had been told when we arrived we would have gone somewhere else. The reason given was that building work in the kitchen overran. Not very convincing. The food was ok and we won’t be back. The staff knew we were not impressed and offered to not charge us for the first round of drinks. Nice offer but a bit late by then.

Can smell the gents toilets as soon as you enter the restaurant. staff were awful. Couldn't have cared less. Prawn salad with no prawns was grim. The steak came out swimming around on the plate to the point it made the salad soggy. It looked disgusting and grey. it tasted like rubber. My partners food wasn't much better. undercooked potato salad. Revolting little restaurant

rank. Dimly light table meant we had two use torches to see the rather disappointing menu, our server didn't tell us until we ordered there was no chicken salad which is basic stuff. A slow service didn't help, waited too long to pay and was not offered fresh drinks at any point during the evening. So,not great whatsoever-just very average-inadequate.
