Fantastic informative staff all the way from receptionists hygienist and dentist would highly recommend

I had a recent visit to Bupa Dentists at cockton Hill, Bishop Auckland. It was my first time seeing a hygienist and to say I was nervous was an understatement. I suffer with anxiety but as soon as I entered the room and met Ellie the hygienist and Kay the dental nurse assisting I was immediately put at ease. They were both so warm and welcoming and understood my nerves. Ellie talked me through everything so I had a clear understanding of what would happen and Kay bless her, held my hand when I was injected. The friendly banter, atmosphere and calm kind manner both girls used helped me immensely! I had half of my mouth done, which was fantastic and I've booked to return for the second half done soon. It wasn't half as bad as I was thinking it would be and was done quickly with updates throughout. Ellie was gentle throughout the process and both girls constantly checked I was OK. The reassurance and support really helps someone like myself and they really made the whole process so much easier and calmer. I don't feel a fraction of the nerves for my second appointment. The whole team at Bishop Auckland truly are the best. The girls on reception are always so warm and chatty, nothing is ever too much. The Dentists are always amazing! Kind, understanding and reassuring, there really is no where else I would go other than with these guys. If you're anxious like myself, Bishop Auckland Bupa is the one for you. Fabulous team, thank you for everything.

I had done what needed to be done. The only problem I have with the dental practice is if you ask if they are taking on NHS they always say "not at the minute as we are extremely busy". Then look around the waiting room and the only person there is me and nobody is in with the dentist. The majority of people cannot afford private dentistry and seeing someone you love in pain because they can't see NHS dentist is terrible.

Avoid this completely ,she is sub letting to other dentist and even other unknown people that are not CQC registered ,they operate like a ghost and you will never know who is who because you see her as fully CQC registered so trust it!Dangerous mistake to trust this practice as a whole as you can see dentist operates PRP and other non dental on a dental chair and some of them even perform implants without a CQC registration or even a nurse! ,main landlord is The Howard de Walden Estate with their own reception on the main entrance that s not bound by CQC so they can take your data and this one that s CQC registered that meant to be trusted give all these ghost operators and all for price tag of premium ?!!Premium of what ?All there ghost operators are active at least for more than 3 years and still are there !!

Challenge the Lack of Communication: from the receptionist I was under the impression the filling would happen at my 1st appointment. I believe I was misinformed about the appointment.

Prompt efficient friendly service throughout

I am very nervous about the dentist as i have had problems for years.But they put me at ease.It was a lovely atmosphere when i walked in.It never smelt clinical.Everyone appeared happy in there role.

I have been a patient of BUPA Dental Care Sale for many years and have always been pleased with it. I have had unusual problems but the dentists, most recently Mr Wei Hao Yew, have coped with them very well.

Good dental practice, but waitlist for treatment is too long

Absolutely brilliant . I felt comfortable and safe . Kevin explained everything in detail . I was very nervous . I just relaxed and Kevin just chatted with we all the way through the appointment .

Requested an appointment for painful tooth and been given a checkup instead and refused treatment. No way of treating long term paying Bupa Dental member
