Excellent nursery in Bromsgrove – overall a very positive experience

We feel very lucky to have secured a place for our little one at this nursery. They have been incredibly accommodating and have provided us with days that suited our requirements. When we requested additional days of care at short notice, they were kind enough to accommodate us, which we really appreciated.

On one occasion, we were delayed getting there because the only road out of our area was blocked and there was heavy traffic. Although we live just a stone’s throw from the nursery, we were stuck, and the staff were understanding and kindly looked after our daughter for an extra hour without much fuss. That sort of flexibility and understanding makes a big difference to working parents.

Another thing we particularly appreciate is that they don’t seem to look for reasons to send children home unnecessarily, which gives us confidence that our little one is well cared for.

There are a few areas where we feel they could improve. On one occasion, our daughter normally leaves nursery at 1pm, but the app showed that she had eaten at around 3pm, which understandably made us question the accuracy of some of the information being communicated to us about meals. Better clarity and consistency around this would be reassuring.

During periods of very hot weather, the nursery had to close for a couple of days, as did other nurseries. While we understand the reasons behind this, it is an area where we feel nurseries could perhaps look at longer-term solutions.

We also received a call asking us to come in for a photograph, but it wasn’t made clear beforehand that purchasing the original photographs would cost around £90. We had assumed it was simply a group photograph.

Overall, we have had a very positive experience. The staff are accommodating, understanding and genuinely seem to care for the children. We would happily recommend the nursery to other parents in Bromsgrove.

My little one loves Busy Bees. The staff are all wonderful and take such good care. My little one loves the food, and I can see their development progressing every day. They are so disappointed if we walk by on a non-nursery day when we don't go in. I would wholeheartedly recommend Busy Bees Bromsgrove to any parent.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. Nicola and the team are just wonderful. So nurturing and really care. My little girl loves it and I can’t wait for my little boy to start in September.

I had my reservations about Busy Bees to begin with due to the lack of updates on the app regarding what my little one has been up to day to day, but I've come to realize that as lovely as that would be, it's not as important as I first thought. I feel that the staff make decisions in my little ones best interest, such as moving up to the bigger toddler room as the language is more enriching for him. He loves the bigger room and is thriving. Staff now take the time to give us a little run down of activities, and they're just so friendly and lovely. I highly recommend busy bees. They have outstanding at Ofsted for a reason. Don't compare updates to apps at other nurseries, it's just not important.
