First E-bike and loving it. Staff really great and friendly explaining things to me. Wanted the fully equipped version of the cube reaction and no one had in stock or offered to build to spec for me. But rang Buy a bike and they said they would build to spec and they were true to their word. Any issues with bike and they solved it right away can’t recommend highly enough. 17 miles out of my way but better service than any of the local bike retailers I visited when looking for a bike. Very good.

I bought a bike on click and collect. I recieved a text message to tell me when the bike was ready to collect. I turned up to collect it and they had prepared the wrong size bike for me to collect which was sorted in about 10 minutes. Everyone was really friendly with a good selection of bikes and parts.

Just purchased a Bianchi Impulso Pro in the fantastic Matt Celeste colour. I cannot stress that the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. I made a few phone calls to discuss and visited the store twice the advice I was given was first class no sales pressure just great advice on sizing and functionality of the bike. The bike was built for me to go and view again no pressure to buy or bad advice just to make a sale. All the team were friendly and knowledgeable. The price was the cheapest I could find nice discount and a very wide selection of bikes to choose from. Probably the best bike shop and purchase experience I have ever had. And the bike is just brilliant thanks

Fantastic maintenance service from the guys at Buy a Bike. Recently serviced the shock and forks on my Downhill bike plus fitted new bottom bracket, trued the wheels and rotor. Very knowledgeable team and great turnaround. Bike back on the trails within 3 days. So lucky to have this local bike shop offering an amazing service. Well done guys

They had the bike I wanted in stock and set it up as requested, without delay. My emails were answered promptly and the whole process was very straightforward. The store is easy to get to, a short distance off the motorway.

Fast, clear and efficient

Just purchased my 2nd Cube Kathmandu from Buy A Bike knowing that I will always get quality backup & service. Lewis was so friendly and knowledgeable and guided us through all the technicalities and adjustments required.

I tell you what I’ve used these guys for 20 years now - whilst the world has lost its family touch they have developed it - you walk into an impressive show room, family there knowledgeable and ready to support - topped off by at the end a handshake from the owner who told me “thank you for your custom” - I will never go anywhere else.

I had a great experience while purchasing a bike this week. Went through many options that were within my price range. Pros and Cons of electric gearing and mechanical.
Took some measurements to calculate an accurate frame size.
Had a little pedal around the rear of the store, to get a feel for what the future rides will be like.

Very happy with bike and service

The staff at Buy A Bike (special thanks must go to Lewis) were incredibly friendly and took the time to understand what I needed instead of rushing me or pushing expensive options. I asked a lot of questions and they made sure I was comfortable with my choice.
When I came back for my free 6 week safety check, they clearly explained the work, finished on time and walked me through the adjustments before I left. It’s rare to feel this valued as a customer — highly recommend for anyone who appreciates excellent service!

I’ve been a customer of BuyaBike for many years and have previously purchased multiple bikes and accessories from them, so this review is disappointing to write.

I recently took my bike in to have a seized rear brake caliper replaced. When I dropped it off, I was told that £20 would be deducted from the final bill if I chose to go ahead with the repair. At no point was it explained that this £20 was a non-refundable inspection/quotation fee if I decided not to proceed.

I did not request a full diagnostic - I asked for a specific repair. The mechanic said he would provide a list of options, which sounded helpful, but it wasn’t made clear that this assessment would incur a charge regardless.

I was quoted £40 for labour to fix the brake, which I thought was excessive, so I decided to just repair it myself. When I queried the charge, I was told this was standard policy and that it is stated on their website. However, I relied on what I was told in person at drop-off. Clear and upfront explanation of charges at the point of agreement would have avoided this issue.

I completely understand that businesses need to charge for their time. My concern is simply that the fee was not made explicit before the work was undertaken. The response to my complaint felt defensive rather than constructive.

Unfortunately, this experience has changed my view of what was previously a trusted local shop.

Everything from ordering to going picking the bike up absolutely brilliant will definitely be back 🙌
