This company is so unprofessional
This company is so unprofessional and run by selfless people who are only out for themselves. I applied for a PE Teacher/Sports coach role and I got the job. I was extremely happy, it was a dream job, to work in schools with children. I studied 5 years in total for this job, I have worked in schools prior to getting this job, so I had loads of experience which backed me. I was made to work a whole week unpaid to ‘shadow’. The week after I was doing my own lessons and running the after school clubs. During the week, I ran my own detailed session which I followed from the companies own lesson plans and I was observed.
The lady which observed me said “You can’t teach”, “your tone of voice is rude”, “if you spoke to my children like this, I wouldn’t be very happy” and “there’s nothing I like about your session” she was pure evil. If my session was so bad, why did the CEO of the company like my session a few days before and give me the job? I told my manager that I didn’t appreciate the way I was spoken to by this lady In particular. Cut the story short, she basically sacked me the next day (clearly couldn’t be arsed with the hassle) after I done a whole week unpaid trail, brought a car so I didn’t have to travel far and left my last job. Her excuse that I never turned up for work the following day.
I lost a lot of time, money and my job for this ridiculous ‘mess around’ and I don’t recommend anyone wanting to work for them.
