Singapore Changi General Hospital, wonderful care.
Changi General Hospital in Singapore is absolutely wonderful.
I had breathing difficulties from heart trouble on a London to Singapore flight. I was supposed to transit to Hong Kong but stopped my journey in Singapore and was taken to Changi Hospital for emergency treatment. Even as a foreign patient, the hospital still proceeded to provide all necessary treatment and care to keep me alive and help me recover. I was 4 nights in the ICU followed by 11 nights in the cardiology ward, then transferred to hospital in Hong Kong (where I live) to continue my care .
The staff gave me excellent care, and there was a much better staff/patient ratio than in Hong Kong or UK.
The only difficult thing for me as a Westerner was the Chinese hospital food. But as I was in a Chinese city I could expect nothing else!
