A gem of a business!

I’ve been shopping with Charles Ted since 2018. The online shop is full of up to date and on trend designs from a vast array of accessories, to furniture. The quality is amazing. But what keeps me a loyal customer is the exceptional customer service you receive from Kate, the manager. Firstly, she’s always at the end of a phone which is so refreshing, and nothing is too much trouble. She is friendly and professional and goes out of her way to help you, whether that is to source a piece, dealing with the occasional hiccup or issuing a refund. 8 years later, I’m still a loyal fan of this brand and can’t recommend them enough.

I love my Boho lamp

I love my Boho lamp! I've bought a couple of things from Charlested since their early days and the products have always been of a high quality, packaged well and in a delivered in a timely manner. Comms are good. All round highly recommended.

Not great service sadly

Not great service sadly. Considering the items are much more expensive than other websites (Understand this and like supporting smaller businesses) The art I ordered ended up being discontinued and not available but they proceeded to ship 2 tiny stems without checking first so I paid nearly £25 for two stems which I found identical for £11. I would have just cancelled the entire order rather than pay £5.95 shipping but they shipped the stems first and emailed about the Art a couple of days after. When I responded to the email about it being out of stock they replied offering me art which didn't resemble anything like what I purchased and said I could get free delivery on those instead most were 4 times the price! Didn't really feel like the best customer service, in my opinion when the shipping was mentioned should of had an apology and the shipping costs refunded given it was their mistake. It's little details that make businesses stand out and sadly I do feel a bit ripped off having paid in total over twice as much as other places for two very small twig stems.

The stems were added to your order separately after the artwork purchase, following a request made via our webchat. These stems were part of our Black Friday promotion and were discounted by 20% at the time of purchase. As the artwork and stems are fulfilled from two separate warehouses, they are processed and dispatched independently. To ensure prompt service, our system automatically fulfils items as soon as they are ready, as we aim to dispatch orders within the same day.

Unfortunately, we were not made aware that the artwork was unavailable until after the stems had already been dispatched. During very busy periods, when we are processing hundreds of orders, we would not have known that the stems were only required if the artwork was in stock unless this was specifically communicated to us at the time.

Regarding delivery, our standard shipping charge of £5.95 applies across the website (with the exception of furniture), and this is clearly outlined during checkout.

We’re sorry that the alternative artwork options we suggested were not suitable and that the situation left you feeling disappointed. This was never our intention, and we do apologise that your experience did not meet expectations.

Please do contact us directly when placing your next order and we will ensure we personally look after it for you. We truly value your support of small businesses and hope we’ll have the chance to restore your confidence in us.

Great Service and Quality.

I bought a lovely sofa from Charlested. Delivery was within the timeframe stated and delivered by a two man courier team. The sofa is as described and fits perfectly in my refurbished living room.

They deserve zero starts

They deserve zero starts. Bough an item which I received while away from the country. The items is faulty and even though the website says 28 days return policy, we are forced to report within 14 days. Bad customer service at first accept return but the. They came back on their word. Don’t advise buying from them. Product not of good quality.

Your order was for 8 berry garlands. After receiving the images you sent, we carefully reviewed them and also forwarded them to our supplier for assessment. They confirmed that the variations visible across the garlands, including lighter painted areas and slight inconsistencies in the berries are normal and expected for this particular style. As these garlands are moulded and hand-finished, subtle differences between each piece are part of the design and are not classed as faults. Based on this review, the items were not considered to be faulty. This particular garland has been one of our best-selling products this year.

Our returns policy outlines two separate timeframes, which is standard practice for online retailers:

Any faults must be reported within 14 days of delivery so they can be investigated promptly.

Items must be returned within 28 days where eligible.

We do understand that you were away when the order was delivered, and we’re sorry that this added to your frustration. While we do need to apply our policy consistently, we did try to resolve the matter amicably by offering a store credit as a gesture of goodwill, however this was declined.

We’re genuinely sorry that this outcome was not what you had hoped for and that your experience did not meet expectations. If you’d like to discuss this further, please do contact us directly and we’ll be happy to review it again.

Beautiful furniture & wonderful service!

I recently ordered from CharlesTed Home and couldn’t be happier. The furniture is absolutely gorgeous — even better in person than on the website — really solid and well made, with that lovely rustic charm you just don’t find on the high street anymore.

The customer service team were also fantastic. They kept me updated the whole way through, were quick to reply to my emails, and genuinely cared that everything arrived safely. Delivery was smooth and well organised too.
