If I could rate it lower than 2 star, I would. Ordered some pants for my grandson and literally called with 10 minutes to Customer Service to cancel and was told it was done. WRONG!!! The rep did not cancel and now I have to wait for it to arrive and ship back when it does get here.

Not buying again
I placed an order for kids’ clothes on October 10 (Order #4524546541). The tracking shows that it was delivered, but the delivery proof clearly shows someone else’s door. I immediately contacted the store and even sent a photo of my own front door to prove that I didn’t receive the package. However, there has been no follow-up or resolution from their side. Instead, I was simply told to contact the courier company myself, which is very disappointing. Poor customer service — I expected better communication and accountability.
Unpleasant Experience with Associate at Store #4073

Today I visited store #4073 to shop for a few things for my children. Unfortunately, my experience with an associate who stated her name was Neek was very unpleasant.
When I went to check out, my total came to more than I had budgeted for. I apologized and politely explained that I needed to remove a few items. The associate immediately became visibly irritated and responded with a rude attitude. From that point forward, she treated me as if I were an inconvenience rather than a valued customer.
Even as I tried to make light of the situation and remain friendly, her demeanor stayed unprofessional. As I completed my purchase, she said, “Have a better day,” in a tone that came across as sarcastic and dismissive.
I hope this feedback is used as a coaching opportunity. Even if a customer has to put items back, associates should maintain patience and professionalism—especially when the customer is being polite and apologetic. This interaction was not a good reflection of the company’s usual standards of customer service.

Horrible customer service. I have ordered from them before. I accidentally selected pick up. I called immediately to change to shipping. I was told I couldn’t do that and also couldn’t cancel. I then was told it will be shipped to a mall in California and if I don’t drive 300 miles and pick it up it will be returned to the company after 5 days. At that time they can refund my money to me. He then proceeded to tell me, next time make sure to check shipping. It was obviously a mistake. There won’t be a next time. I just hope I eventually get my money back. He was rude and as unhelpful as he could be. Could have easily been fixed and avoided this long unnecessary process.

Where do I begin. I've shopped here since my child was little always online.As there is not a children's place near me. These people now do not have anywhere where you can print a label, a paid label to send back things that don't fit or that you just don't want. And god forbid, don't take the tag off for your child to see if the shirt's gonna fit or anything, because they will not accept it back.If the tag is removed. So basically people your foot in the bill for shipping twice, keep that in mind.When you order here. Well, I am sending this back the cheapest possible way that I can get it to go as long as it's got a tracking number that I can keep. Also, keep in mind.I would advise sizing up for your children.It's good that everything's made out of cotton.But i'm telling you now, as soon as you wash and dry it.Not gonna fit much longer.

I visited The Children’s Place to exchange a pair of pants that my daughter received as a gift. I presented the gift receipt with the pants, but I was informed that, according to their policy, I had exceeded the 45-day return period.
The gift receipt only contains the purchase date, time, store number, store address, and a series of other numerical codes. Notably, it does not mention their return policy. The store manager, customer service supervisor, and manager all strongly advised me to visit their website to review the policy.
It would be beneficial for The Children’s Place to include a return policy on the back of the gift receipt, providing clear instructions for customers who wish to make a return.
Don't waste your money
If I could, I would give them zero stars. You must pay to return the crappy products. Products are very poor quality.

THE STORE WAS EMPTY BY THE WAY (12.00PM MONDAY). SHE SAID ENTTER YOUR INFO IN THE PAD. I WANTED IT TO BE EXPLAINED; FIRST TIMER HERE. I'M DOING MY JOB AND HIT A KEY ON THE PAD. I ASKED IF I HAD OFFENERED HER BECUSE I QUESTION WHY I NEED TO ADD EMAIL ADDRESS.
HOW DO YOU WANT YOUR RECEIPT? I APOLIGIZED AND STATED I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS CHILDRENS PLACE AGAIN....I PASSED A CARTERS TO GET HERE.

The customer service was excellent – everyone was very friendly and helpful. A big thanks to Mecanzy,. I will definitely come back again for another shopping trip. Highly recommend!

A horrible experience today, August 7th 2025 at the Woodbridge location in VA. I spent $223 on girls uniforms and I was requested to pay for bag.
The staff watched as I take all the stuff I purchased out without a bag. This is really bad that the staff couldn't give a bag of 15c to say thank you!!!

Missing Order, No Help – Stay Away
I ordered from The Children’s Place in March and never received my items. While tracking says it was delivered, I never got it. I’ve sent eight emails to customer service with only one unhelpful reply. Klarna denied my case based on tracking, but I still never got what I paid for.
The lack of response and accountability is outrageous. I’ve now had to escalate to their corporate office. Avoid ordering unless you’re okay losing money with no customer support.

I was in the Augusta Mall Children's Place store on May 13th. And I had a wonderful experience! I was able to find what I was looking for. Management was exceptionally nice! She was patient and very helpful with a bubbly personality. I will definitely be going back real soon!
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Bought some clothes online and explained the promo code wasn’t working, it’s a 75 percent off sale with an additional 20 percent off final sale. Well it wasn’t taking twenty percent off it only took off 3 percent.. I was confused so I read the whole promo code policy and I was within the policy. I only bought items from the 75 percent off sale. So I emailed them and they sent a message with the promo code policy. They said if I have other questions then I can call and wouldn’t reply to my email about how I was within the policy. Days later I bought my kids some summer clothes and shoes. I get the pairs of shoes today and the sizes are all off. One shoe that’s size 13 are a tad big but will work perfectly while the other shoes that are size 13 are a tad small and make it look like his heel is hanging off the back. I emailed them about an exchange and I get an automated email sent to me about exchange policy and that if it’s an online order then I’m responsible for shipping them back and need to pay for insurance as their not responsible for lost packages this makes me worried that even if I ship them back that I won’t receive an exchange or a refund. I spent over 600 dollars in the last few days and now I’m regretting it cause now I have to either buy three more pairs of shoes from the store and eat the cost or have him wear shoes that look too small and I have really bad rigid thinking so it will bother me everytime I see him wear them. SMH.. I know for now on I will never order from children’s place again. I get better customer service from Walmart and they’re always so kind

Don’t order from The Children’s Place if you need it before 3 weeks!!! I see from other comments this seems to be an issue. When I was placing the order, it said it would be delivered on May 2. However. On May 1st it still didn’t have any tracking info so I called customer service. They said it should ship soon and once it ships it takes 10 business days to arrive. Wow! No one has a 3 week shipping turn around these days! Except The Children’s Place! Don’t buy if you are needing stuff for vacation!
Terrible return policy, company is short sighted
I had a terrible experience with the return policy. I received a gift that was brand new, still with tags, and is still available for sale both online and in-store. However, I did not receive a gift receipt from the giver. I understand that the policy states that items need to have tags and an original receipt, but I find this to be a poor return policy, especially for children's clothing. Kids' sizes change frequently, and sizing is not universal between stores.
The gift I received was too small for my son, and I simply wanted to exchange it for a larger size, but that was not permitted. Nothing can be done without a receipt! I had never shopped at Children's Place before this incident, and I have no intention of doing so in the future. Their return policy discourages parents from wanting to shop there. If I had been allowed to exchange the size, I would have likely bought additional items during my visit.
Even offering store credit would be beneficial for the store, as customers often end up purchasing more than just the store credit amount

I ordered a tee-shirt for my grandson, which is of very poor quality and customer service was HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! It took 16 days from the day my order was received until it was delivered. The delivery date was changed 4 times (always delayed, of course) and after the 3rd delay I wrote to Customer Service asking what was going on. They replied that it would take a max of 10 business days. Of course, they are open on Saturdays, and ALLLLL of the delivery services deliver on Saturdays and some of them on Sundays. Yet, they don't include both Sat and Sun. In the letter they never said that it was 10 days from shipping, just "10 days". So, they leave things vague, then tap dance like crazy to avoid accountability. After it arrived on day 16, I called to request a refund of the $6.99 shipping I paid (for one tiny item, a little boy's tee shirt). They wasted so much of my time, and theirs, defending their right to be an incompetent, uncaring, lousy company, after which they refused to refund shipping. I have blocked this company from ever emailing me again as I wouldn't take something they were giving away for free. If you can't honor your commitments, provide a quality product and respectful customer service, I will not do business with you again. I regret the day I ordered this gift for my grandson. Please note that their rating on this site is a meager 1.6 - I wish I had noticed this before ordering from them.
