I am HIGHLY disappointed
I am HIGHLY disappointed. Yes I have been having financial difficulties and my score dropped. It took me a while to get my life together and start to pay off my debt. When you look at your credit report on Credit Karma it states if you pay off your debt in a certain time frame your score will go up depending on if you pay it off or payments and so on. So I had 3 different debts and it clearly states if I paid them off within 2 years of the opening debt my score would go up 25 points each. So I did. I paid all 3 of them off and my score went up 3 points. I contacted Credit Karma and asked why only 3 points and they said they don’t decide that the credit bureau do. Like WTF you clearly have it stated on your site and now you don’t handle that. So you basically lie to people to get them to pay stuff off so you get a your kick back from the credit bureau. Credit Karma is nothing but lies. Don’t do any credit stuff though them until they can back what they promise
Sold all of my information to scammers…
Sold all of my information to scammers that call me 5 times a day. I can't take it anymore.
Refund Scamvance
I applied for refund advance on 01/24. It was accepted for $1000. It is now 03/25 and I still have not received it. Whenever I call, no one can give me an answer and they say this is happening to a lot of people. I see a lawsuit coming.
It's just spam now
It's just spam now, just garbage. I remember when It was a pretty nice platform, but like all things Intuit touches it turned into a steaming pile of donkey crap.

Horrible company and terrible service
Horrible company and terrible service. I verified my ID at least five times, and they still refused to remove the hold on my account. They will not even explain what is wrong with my photo, even though I submitted it exactly as instructed.
Can’t pick auto save date
I use the credit builder portion of the app. I wanted to change the auto save date to biweekly Fridays rather than Thursday because my payday has changed. You’d think it would be as easy as going into settlings to update the withdrawal date. I deactivated the auto save because it would withdraw the day before I get paid which may be a date I’m low or negative on cash, risking an overdraft fee of $36. I called to get it changed and the only other option was to change it to monthly or every 15 days. That’s not fixing my problem. It’s so simple yet so asinine that I can’t change the auto save date on my own. The only option is to do it manually. Once it builds back up to $500 I’m closing it out ASAP
A truly worthless concept
Auto emails to solve internal company issues are rude, incorrect, mind numbingly useless. I reported a fraud suspicion upon receiving an email from this company indicating that I had changed a password or used a different device recently. Not only do I not have now, nor have I ever an account with them. Upon alerting this to their CS team, the auto generated “customer support “ email response was to provide my account number. If that doesn’t help you out with seeing this business’s massive breech of its literal foundational function, not a truckload of college degrees and subscription fees will keep the fraud from demolishing their entire system and hasten the demise of a truly worthless concept.
Credit Karma doesn't care about you
I had i guess gotten my identity or accounts stolen. This was not credit karmas fault. Through credit karma specifically an attempted $4,800 out of my $2,800 was grabbed. My bank couldn't do much, as I had entrusted credit karma to save $100 per week the last 28 weeks and my bank saw them as safe. After numerous weeks of contact with credit karma's strictly email third world based workers, I got a solid $1,200 back. This is in account of the $2,000 taken from me that I never had. I was told that my account was under balance. So at the end of all this, I gave credit karma $800. I hate credit karma. I now will do my taxes by myself, not even turbo tax, since they are friends. In general I don't trust third party things like this. So at least they helped me in distrusting any and all third party life-easienizers. Let's get back to checkbooks and bartering.
Payroll Advance /System Glitch
I was offered the Credit Karma payroll advance a few months ago. I've had the same payroll deposit for the last six years. Around a month ago, I received a Fidelity deposit a week after I received my payroll deposit. Your system flagged my Fidelity deposit as my payroll which substantially lowered my advance limit and now because I didn't get a deposit into my account this week, my advance access has been frozen. I reached out to your customer support team and was told there is nothing you can do because it's a system issue, which is pretty bonkers to me. You guys created the system but you can't fix the system? I'll be using my secondary bank going forward. If an error is presented which is clearly not on my end, this should be rectified.
Will not let you unsubscribe to their Emails.
They spam you daily, (sometime multiple times). When you click on unsubscribe, they won't let you. I will have to mark it as spam forever now. Don't be fooled. They are just there to get you to take out High Interest Loans to pay off high interest Credit Cards. They used to be a good company, but they are now just SPAMMERS.

SCAM!’ Do not fall for their $50 loan guarantee incentive! Very disappointed!!
Do not fall for their $50 loan guarantee!!! I did!!! You will NOT get it even if the loan does not get approved!! VERY outdated and VERY disappointing customer service!!! If I could give Credit Karma less than 0 out of 5 I would!!!! Will never be using you again!!!
:( :( :(
Terrible
They offer loans but you have to have a vehicle to use as collateral. If you use the money management application, it will allow you to get 20-400 & once your direct deposit is made it's taken out but the amount you're allowed to get varies from week to week. If you borrow 200 & when it's taken out your account, they may allow you to borrow 50-100. You don't get to borrow the same amount. So that is a financial thing & nobody can explain to you why it changes. If you do a chat session, they're going to hang up on you because they don't know how to answer your question. The credit cards they offer are always secured or have a very low credit amount.
Embarrassing!
How can you not be ashamed to be associated with Credit Karma? They don’t even try to hide the fact that their product sucks!
If I could give it zero I would
If I could give it zero I would. They played in our faces BAD this year. We all ONLY used them instead of our banks (because let’s be real, we all have bank accounts now) because they said we would get our refunds 5 days early. They can lie to our faces all they want and say it’s not them, it’s because the irs isn’t sending payment stuff early but we all KNOW it’s a lie because EVERY SINGLE OTHER BANK IS RELEASING IT THE DAY TRANSCRIPTS UPDATE OR THE NEXT DAY AT LATEST: I will NEVER use them again and I’ve seen thousands of other people say the same thing.
Unable to update my phone number and verify my ID
I have been trying for months to change my phone number on my CreditKarma account. No matter how many codes I had sent to my phone, all were rejected as incorrect codes. When I first started back in October, they wanted me to verify my ID. My ID was expired and it wasn't until recently that I was able to get a new one. I tried to verify my ID today and it wouldn't ever accept my selfie. I have deactivated my CreditKarma account and will never use any service by Intuit ever again!
Credit Karma account restrictions
I have used turbo tax to complete my taxes for at least the last ten years. I have been happy with how easy it is and how you can work on them when you have time. This year I used the credit karma option to get my refund faster than having it sent to my checking account. To be fully transparent I did not fully understand what this would mean for my return nor did I do any investigating to understand it either. I take full responsibility for that. I will say if I did take the time to understand it, I would never let CK take control of return. When my return was processed and sent to my CK account I logged on to see what it took to get access to my return. They sent out a debit card and had a digital card option that could be used for purchases. Since I needed cash I was not interested in either option. That's when I found out they limit transfers to external accounts to 1000.00 a day. There is also a standard 2-3 day wait on all transfers. That is typical for most EFTs and I fully expected that. There was a second transfer option that will charge a 1.75% fee to transfer instantly (within 30 minutes). That in itself is a joke... a fee to move money??? So I call customer service and ask to close my accounts. That's a hard no because I have money in my accounts. They can't change my transfer limit, so I get to transfer 1000.00 a day until it's all transferred. The accounts are not like a normal bank account; they restrict what you can do with your money and that's the frustrating part. They claim the transfer limit is a security feature. How does it make my account more secure when they verify all my personal info before talking to me? That's no different than calling my normal bank and making the same request which they would do.
On a side note, the website/app seem to promote credit card usage and payday loans. Both are tools that can be used to help in a pinch but can get out of control very easily and is very hard to dig your way out of. It can turn into a cycle of borrow and repay and the lender and CK are financial benefitting from this with large fees and interest rates or advertising money. I would call this very predatory especially since the website is supposed to be about being responsible with your money. I didn't use these services, but had to rant a little about the website.
I hope this helps people make a more informed decision. Just because I can't recommend this service doesn't mean it can't work for others.
Credit Karma reports who knows what for…
Credit Karma reports who knows what for your bureau scores. In September 2025 they reported my score dropping 89 points, after building the score back up (??? making payments on credit cards - not using them) the have again reported my score dropping 59 points. This is crap and a way to sell high rate credit cards with annual fees of $75 to $149 annually. That is all they are - a way to sell credit crap to people who are looking for help.
Don't waste your time or money " Credit Krama" is a rip off
I just contacted Discover customer service rep through "CrediKrama" I asked then if it would be better to apply for a Discover Card through their website, as opposed to creditkrama, and was told that it would be better through credit karma, but after reviewing trust pilot and reading all the reviews, I realized that this is a scam and I would probably wind up losing money and destroying my credit. So this is just an eye opener for anyone willing to trust credit karma. Don't do it , don't get suckered in to believing it will help your credit score because it won't like the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true it's because it's a SCAM!!!
